Record level data security
A database security system protects a data table at both the column level and the individual data record level. Access to data records within the data table is governed by categories assigned to data records, by user roles assigned to users, and by a set of security access tables. A first access table maps data record identifiers to data record categories, data record protection schemes, and corresponding scheme keys. A second access table maps user roles to data record categories. A third access table maps column identifiers to column protection schemes and corresponding scheme keys. A fourth access table maps user roles to column identifiers. If a user requests access to a data record, the security access tables are queried using the data record identifier, the associated column identifier, and the user roles associated with the user to determine if the user can access the requested data record.
Mood-based content
The present invention includes systems and method for providing mood-based content. User data may be collected via biosensors and manual input by a user. User data may be processed to determine the user's current mood. Information regarding the user's current mood may be used to identify content associated with the user's current mood. The identified content may be used to update content for display. The updated content may be displayed to the user.
Semantic zoom for related content
Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are provided for displaying a related content view within a search interface. That is, a search interface, such as a search application, may provide search results that are relevant to a query submitted through the search interface. For example, a main search engine results view comprising one or more search results of the query may be presented within the search interface. Responsive to a semantic zoom operation (e.g., a touch gesture), the search interface may be transitioned from the main search engine results view to a related content view comprising related content that corresponds to the query and/or a (e.g., supplemental) search result for the query. In this way, the user may explore supplemental content, such as query suggestions, images, entity descriptions/profiles, videos, and/or other content, that may be related to a query submitted by the user.
Providing recommendations based upon environmental sensing
Embodiments are disclosed that relate to providing digital content recommendations based upon environmental sensor data. For example, one embodiment provides a computing device configured to receive sensor data from a sensor system, to detect a user present in the use environment via the sensor data, identify the user, recognize a current state of each of one or more use environment state features associated with the user via the sensor data, and store the current state of each of the one or more use environment state features. The computing device is further configured to detect a triggering condition for a selected use environment state feature, and in response provide information related to the selected use environment state feature based upon one or more of the current state of the use selected use environment state feature and a previously-stored state of the selected use environment state feature.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODIFYING QUANTIFIED MOTIVATIONAL IMPACT BASED ON AUDIO COMPOSITION AND CONTINUOUS USER DEVICE FEEDBACK
A system and method for generating an ordered list of content objects, are disclosed. The system is configured to receive content objects from one or more datastores and generate attributes for each content object. Further, weighted scores are computed for each attribute, such that a sum of all computed weighted scores is indicative of a suitability of association of the content object with a feature set execution. A master lookup dataset is generated comprising the content object, computed weighted scores, and a mapping between the content object and the feature set execution. Content objects prestored on user device are identified and an ordered list is created by associating content objects to feature sets based on the master lookup dataset.
PROVIDING MEDIA CONTENT BASED ON USER STATE DETECTION
A system includes a computing device including a processor programmed to receive data identifying a mental state of a user, the data including at least one of a user physical condition and a user communication. Based on the mental state data, the processor is programmed to assign one or more stored keywords to the user, and provide media content to the user based on the keywords assigned to the user based on the mental state data.
Two-directional biometric matching
A mechanism is provided for two-directional biometric matching. The mechanism receives a first biometric record and a second biometric record for matching. The mechanism performs a first matching process using a matching algorithm of the first record to the second record to obtain a first matching outcome. The mechanism performs a second matching process using the same matching algorithm of the first matching process, wherein the second record is matched to the first record to obtain a second matching outcome. The mechanism compares the first and second matching outcomes to determine if there is a difference in outcome.
Eye event detection for electronic documents
Techniques and systems described herein locate possibly-significant portions of electronic documents. In some examples, gaze movements, e.g., of users' eyes, are tracked while the users read a formatted version of an electronic document. The gaze movement may be analyzed to determine if a reading interruption occurs (e.g., a reading pause or irregularity in a regular reading rate for the user). The reading interruption may occur when the user, while reading, encounters or notices a problem or point of interest in the text. A reading location associated with the reading interruption may be determined in text that is currently displayed. The reading location may be mapped to a location in a standard version of the document. The location may be reported to a centralized entity where statistical analysis can be performed to determine if there is a problem in the document.
System and Method for Personalized Preference Optimization
A system and method is provided for using biometric data from an individual to determine at least one emotion, mood, physical state, or mental state (“state”) of the individual, which is then used, either alone or together with other data, to provide the individual with certain web-based data. In one embodiment of the present invention, a Web host is in communication with at least one network device, where each network device is operated by an individual and is configured to communicate biometric data of the individual to the Web host. The Web host is then configured to use the biometric data to determine at least one state of the individual. The determined state, either alone or together with other data (e.g., interest data), is then used to provide the individual with certain content (e.g., web-based data) or to perform a particular action.
DYNAMIC MEDIA ITEM DELIVERY
In one implementation, a method for dynamic media item delivery. The method includes: presenting, via the display device, a first set of media items associated with first metadata; obtaining user reaction information gathered by one or more input devices while presenting the first set of media items; obtaining, via a qualitative feedback classifier, an estimated user reaction state to the first set of media items based on the user reaction information; obtaining one or more target metadata characteristics based on the estimated user reaction state and the first metadata; obtaining a second set of media items associated with second metadata that corresponds to the one or more target metadata characteristics; and presenting, via the display device, the second set of media items associated with the second metadata.
