Systems and apparatuses for generating customized user output are provided. The system may collect sensor data, associated with the user, from a variety of sources. The system may use the sensor data to generate a customized user output. The system may analyze the sensor data, and determine, based on the sensor data and the customized user output, one or more user recommendation outputs. The system may update the customized user output based on additional or subsequent sensor data, and/or based on whether or not the user recommendation output was completed, as determined from subsequent sensor data.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, registering a user to participate in a virtual event; creating a user playlist for user participation in the virtual event, the user playlist including a sequence of segments to be presented to the user in an immersive experience of the virtual event; providing a segment of the sequence of segments to the user in the immersive experience; detecting a user response to the segment; and modifying the segment for future presentations of the segment, wherein the modifying is based on the user response to the segment. A method for reducing the number of images or the length of a video from a digital image collection using a social network, includes receiving a digital image collection captured by a user to be viewed by a viewer; wherein the viewer and the user are members of the same social network and using a processor to access the social network to determine a relationship between a viewer and the user. The method further includes using the processor to determine a set of summarization parameters based on the relationship between the viewer and the user and using the processor to reduce the number of images or the length of the video from the digital image collection using the determined set of summarization parameters to be viewed by the viewer.

Method, system, and programs for measuring user engagement with content items. In one example, a query is received. A set of content items related to the query is obtained. A presentation of at least one content item of the set of content items is provided on a user interface. A user activity related to the at least one content item is determined. An amount of time between a time at which the presentation of the at least one content item is provided on the user interface and a time at which the user activity occurred is determined. A score associated with the content item is determined based on the amount of time. Information related to user engagement with the set of content items is generated based on the score.

A method of selecting and presenting content based on learned user preferences is provided. The method includes providing a content system including a set of content items organized by genre characterizing the content items, and wherein the set of content items contains microgenre metadata further characterizing the content items. The method also includes receiving search input from the user for identifying desired content items and, in response, presenting a subset of content items to the user. The method further includes receiving content item selection actions from the user and analyzing the microgenre metadata within the selected content items to learn the preferred microgenres of the user. The method includes, in response to receiving subsequent user search input, selecting and presenting content items in an order that portrays as relatively more relevant those content items containing microgenre metadata that more closely match the learned microgenre preferences of the user.

A method for processing an individual multimedia content by an electronic device, which includes a database containing a user list and a table of recorded individual multimedia contents, a calculation system and a storage system, the method including storing the individual content by allocating a storage space on the storage system; adding an entry relating to the individual multimedia content stored in the table of recorded individual multimedia contents; acquiring the individual multimedia content and writing to memory the individual multimedia content in the allocated storage space, and creating a table of users relating to the stored individual multimedia content, the table of users including, for each user of a sub-set of the list of users contained in the database, a context data. The method also includes performing a method for managing the storage space and/or a method for reading the multimedia content stored in the storage space.

Systems and methods are provided herein for displaying recommendations that are temporally relevant to activities of a user and are contextually relevant to a portion of viewed media. This may be accomplished by a media guidance application identifying activities a user has planned, as well as respective times for which each of the plurality of activities was planned to be performed by the user. The media guidance application may filter the activities by determining which of the first plurality of activities has a corresponding respective time that is within a threshold period of time. The media guidance application may then identify characteristics of each filtered activity and of a media asset that the user is consuming at the present moment, and may compute whether the characteristics match. If the characteristics match, the media guidance application may generate for display a recommendation relating to the respective activity.

Disclosed embodiments provide an audio playing method, an apparatus, an electronic device and a storage medium. The method invokes a second application in response to an operation on an interface of a first application, and then uses the second application to play a target audio including an audio in a multimedia in the interface of the first application. The disclosed embodiment allows a user to directly listen to the target audio corresponding to the audio included in the multimedia information when browsing the multimedia information on the first application, thereby overcoming a technical problem where the user has to search for the target audio separately or cannot find the target audio due to lack of information about the target audio. By directly invoking the second application to play the target audio, the technical effect of skipping the searching step and improving the user experience is achieved.

In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for association of a song, music, or other media content with a user's video content. The system enables a user to associate a song, music, or other media content that is associated with an audio clip and a song metadata of a media content, with a video they are about to create, or have created, to create a video moment. A recipient of the video moment can hear the audio clip in combination with the video content, and also view the song metadata overlay, to determine the name of the song and artist that was used in the video, or optionally access the song at a media server, for further listening by the recipient.

In an embodiment, the method, computer program product, and system includes receiving, by a computer system, gaming history data associated with a gamer profile, assigning, by the computer system, the gamer profile to a first cluster of gamers, recording, by the computer system, game play data associated with the gamer profile, and based on the game play data associated with the gamer profile and the gaming history data associated with the gamer profile, reassigning the gamer profile into a second cluster of gamers.
