A method, apparatus and system for managing receiving duplicate images. The method includes receiving an image, comparing the received image to at least one of archived images and previously received images and blocking the image when a match is found between the received image and the at least one of archived images and previously received images.

A system, a method, and a computer program product for recognizing a logo from an image is provided. The method comprises receiving and preprocessing an image that contains the logo to be recognized. The method further comprises detecting text of the logo to recognize the logo. The method furthermore comprises extracting local and global features of a region of interest associated with the logo to recognize the logo if the text is not detected in the logo. The method further comprises detecting one or more signs in proximity of the logo to recognize the logo if the logo is not recognized by extracting the local and global features of the logo. The method finally comprises identifying a region where the logo is present in the pre-processed image to recognize the logo if the logo is not recognized by detecting the one or more signs in proximity of the logo.

The method and device include instructions to compare a captured image to a known set of images to determine the location depicted therein; and applying a classification upon the image based upon the determined location depicted therein and whether the determined location indicates that the image has the potential to depict privacy sensitive information.

A recognition application receives advertising content comprising a series of frames, identifies images corresponding to the frames within the advertising content, identifies a first set of feature points from a first image of the advertising content, determines whether the first set of feature points matches a second set of feature points stored in a database, and in response to determining that the first set of feature points fails to match the second set of feature points, identifies the first image as being unique, indexes the first image and the first set of feature points and associates the first image with a channel.

Instead of decoding digital assets on-premises to stream to a remote client device, an encoded asset can be streamed to the remote client device. A codebook employable for decoding the encoded asset can be embedded into the stream transmitted to the remote client device, so that the remote client device can extract the embedded codebook, and employ the extracted codebook to decode the encoded asset locally. In this way, not only are processing resources associated with on-premises decoding eliminated, but on-premises storage of codebooks can be significantly reduced, while expensive bandwidth is freed up by virtue of transmitting a smaller quantity of data from the cloud to the remote client device.
