11689380 · 2023-06-27 · ·

A method and a device for viewing a conference are provided. In the method, after a wide-view video of a specific conference, related conference event data, and speech content of each participant are obtained, a highlight video of the specific conference is correspondingly generated. Accordingly, the efficiency of conference viewing is improved.

GENERATING VERIFIED CONTENT PROFILES FOR USER GENERATED CONTENT

Systems and methods for searching, identifying, scoring, and providing access to companion media assets for a primary media asset are disclosed. In response to a request for companion content, metadata within a predefined time period of a play position when the request was made, is downloaded. A dynamic search template that contains search parameters based on the downloaded metadata is generated. In response to the search conducted using the search template, a plurality of companion media assets are identified and then verified. A trust score for the companion media asset is accessed. The trust score may be analyzed and modified based on its contextual relationship to the play position of the primary media asset. If the trust score is within a rating range, then a link to access the companion media asset, or a specific segment or play position within the companion media asset, is provided.

VIDEO PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS

This application provides techniques of generating an audio resource pool based on extracting audio from target videos. The techniques comprise obtaining target videos; determining at least one to-be-processed video from the target videos based on audio features of the target videos; extracting audio from the at least one to-be-processed video; and generating an audio resource pool based on the extracted audio.

Video streaming with feedback using mobile device

A method for direct video broadcasting to video host, via a mobile device, including allowing the video host to initiate an audio communication with a user, via the user's mobile device; allowing the user, via the mobile device, to accept the initiated audio communication from the video host; providing, in response to the user accepting the initiated audio communication, audio communication between the user and the video host; and allowing, in response to the user accepting the initiated audio communication, the user to capture video, via the mobile device, and upload or stream the captured video to the video host, wherein the video host is enabled to engage in audio communications with the user, as the captured video is being captured, and wherein the audio communication is separate from the audio associated with any video being captured.

DISTRIBUTING EMBEDDED CONTENT WITHIN VIDEOS HOSTED BY AN ONLINE SYSTEM
20170347142 · 2017-11-30 ·

An online system analyzes videos from video hosting systems to identify embedded contents in the videos. The online system associates embedded content with videos that include the embedded content. The online system determines statistics describing distribution of the embedded content by the video hosting system, for example, the rate at which the embedded content is included in videos and demographics of the users targeted for the embedded content. The online system may use the information describing distribution of the embedded content by other video hosting systems to modify the distribution of embedded content by the online system.

VIDEO-BASED CONVERSATIONAL INTERFACE

In an answer view, a first video segment is selected based on a first natural language input and displayed in a main display region, and a self-video image of a user is displayed in a peripheral display region having a smaller area than the main display region. To transition from the answer view to a question view, the self-video image is enlarged to replace the first video segment in the main display region. A second natural language input is received. To transition from the question view to the answer view, the self-video image is reduced to occupy the peripheral display region and the self-video image is replaced in the main display region with a second video segment selected based on the second natural language input. The video segments are pre-recorded video response segments spoken by the same person. Enlarging the self-video image masks the transition between the video segments.

MEDIA FILE SUMMARIZER

A summarizer machine can be configured provide a summary file of at least one episode of a media series. The summary file may be generated or otherwise provided based on one or more social media messages. The summarizer machine detects a request that the summary file be generated for a user, and the request may specify the episodes to be summarized. The machine accesses a media database that stores the episodes and also accesses a communication database that records communications among social connections of the requesting user. The communications all identify a same media scene in a same episode, and some of the communications all reference a same media frame in that media scene. The machine determines an excerpt of a media file for the episode and incorporates the excerpt into the generated summary file. The machine causes the summary file to be provided in response to the request.

Video Metadata Association Recommendation
20170300570 · 2017-10-19 ·

Methods and systems of providing metadata association with videos on a video hosting system on a computer network are provided. Search records associated with search queries directed to the video hosting system are received. Each search record identifies videos that are search results for a search query and indicates view durations that the videos were viewed responsive to the search query. First and second videos competing for views of users are identified from the received search records. The first and second videos each have metadata respectively describing the first and second videos. Search queries directed to the first video are identified from the search records. Search terms associated with the search queries are further identified and compared to the metadata of the second video. Search terms that are not included in the metadata of the second video are identified as metadata improvements to the second video.

Validating objects in volumetric video presentations

A method for validating objects appearing in volumetric video presentations includes obtaining a volumetric video presentation depicting a scene, wherein the volumetric video presentation is associated with a metadata file containing identifying information for the scene, identifying user-generated content that depicts the scene, by matching metadata associated with the user-generated content to the metadata file associated with the volumetric video presentation, comparing a first object appearing in the volumetric video presentation to a corresponding second object appearing in the user-generated content, assigning a score to the first object based on the comparing, wherein the score indicates a probability that the first object has not been manipulated, and altering the volumetric video presentation to filter the first object from the volumetric video presentation when the score falls below a threshold.
