System and method for media segment identification
A system and method for identifying media segments using audio augmented image cross-comparison is disclosed, in which a media segment identifying system analyses both audio and video content, producing a unique identifier to compare with previously identified media segments in a media segment database. The characteristic landmark-linked-image-comparisons are constructed by first identifying an audio landmark. The audio landmark is an audio peak that exceeds a predetermined threshold. Two digital images are then obtained, one associated directly with the audio landmark, and one obtained a predetermined landmark time removed from the first image. The two images are then used to provide a characteristic landmark-linked-image-comparison. The pair of images are reduced in pixel size and converted to gray scale. Corresponding pixels are compared to form a numeric comparison. One image is mirrored before comparison to reduce the possibility of null comparisons.

The method includes collecting multimedia content from a plurality of data sources; gathering environmental variables related to the collected multimedia content; extracting visual elements from the collected multimedia content; generating at least one signature for each extracted visual element; generating at least one cluster of visual elements by clustering at least similar signatures generated for the extracted visual elements; correlating environmental variables related to visual elements in the at least one cluster; determining at least one social trend by associating the correlated environmental variables with the at least one cluster.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING BOOKMARK VIDEO FINGERPRINTS
Systems and methods for replacing original media bookmarks of at least a portion of a digital media file with replacement bookmarks is described. A media fingerprint engine detects the location of the original fingerprints associated with the portion of the digital media file and a region analysis algorithm characterizes regions of media file spanning the location of the original bookmarks by data class types. The replacement bookmarks are associated with the data class types and are overwritten or otherwise are substituted for the original bookmarks. The replacement bookmarks then are subjected to a fingerprint matching algorithm that incorporates media timeline and media related metadata.
Media fingerprinting and identification system
The overall architecture and details of a scalable video fingerprinting and identification system that is robust with respect to many classes of video distortions is described. In this system, a fingerprint for a piece of multimedia content is composed of a number of compact signatures, along with traversal hash signatures and associated metadata. Numerical descriptors are generated for features found in a multimedia clip, signatures are generated from these descriptors, and a reference signature database is constructed from these signatures. Query signatures are also generated for a query multimedia clip. These query signatures are searched against the reference database using a fast similarity search procedure, to produce a candidate list of matching signatures. This candidate list is further analyzed to find the most likely reference matches. Signature correlation is performed between the likely reference matches and the query clip to improve detection accuracy.
Method and apparatus for searching video segment, device, and medium
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for searching a video segment, a device and a medium, and relate to the field of video data search. The method includes: sampling video frames from a target video and videos to be searched in a video library, and extracting features from the sampled frames; matching the target video and the videos to be searched according to the extracted features to determine a candidate video to be searched that matches the target video; determining at least one candidate video segment from the determined candidate video, and calculating a degree of matching between the target video and each candidate video segment based on the extracted features of each sampled frame; and determining a video segment matching the target video in the videos to be searched according to the calculated degree of matching between the target video and each candidate video segment.
Anti-Piracy Video Transmission and Display
Methods and systems described herein generate content that quickly cycles between different-colored frames at a rapid rate that may be imperceptible to human viewers. The human eye tends to blend nearby frames together, so that a human viewer will see a full color spectrum even though only a single color is displayed at any given time. The video display may repeatedly cycle between individual color frames, thus providing video content that appears normal to a human viewer. However, a video recording device may capture only some of the color frames. Therefore, the video recorded by video recording devices may include undesirable color flicker or other color artifacts, which may deter unauthorized copying.
Video fingerprinting based on fourier transform of histogram
A content device and method is disclosed to include a processing device to process streaming video content. A fingerprinter receives captured frames of the streaming video content and, for each frame of a plurality of the captured frames, generates a one-dimensional histogram function of pixel values and transforms the histogram function with a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), to generate a plurality of complex values for the frame. The fingerprinter further, for each of the plurality of complex values, assigns a binary one (“1”) when a real part of the complex value is greater than zero (“0”) and assigns a binary zero (“0”) when the real part is less than or equal to zero, to generate a plurality of bits. The fingerprinter further concatenates a specific number of the bits to generate a fingerprint for the frame.
Monitoring individual viewing of television events using tracking pixels and cookies
A real-time content identification and tracking system enabling monitoring of television programming consumption specific to an individual television or other viewing device. Metrics collected may include data regarding viewing of specific broadcast media, commercial messages, interactive on-screen information or other programming, as well as locally cached, time-shifted programming. Information about media consumption by such specific television sets or other viewing means may be returned to a commercial client of the system through a trusted third-party intermediary service and, in certain embodiments, encoded tokens may be used to manage the display of certain events as well as to enable robust auditing of each involved party's contractual performance.
