A Wheelchair Brake Assembly And A Wheelchair Comprising The Wheelchair Brake Assembly
The present invention relates to a wheelchair brake assembly comprising a seat brake system and a wheel frame brake system. The seat brake system and the wheel frame brake system are separable from each other. The seat brake system comprises a caregiver brake lever and an actuating member, the caregiver brake lever being coupled to the actuating member. The wheel frame brake system comprises a brake transmission assembly, a first brake mechanism and a second brake mechanism which are adapted to be provided on a first wheel and a second wheel of the wheelchair respectively. The brake transmission assembly is coupled to the first brake mechanism and the second brake mechanism. The brake transmission assembly comprises an actuating lever having a first free end and a second end. The second end is coupled to the first brake mechanism and the second brake mechanism. The actuating lever is rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the actuating lever and located between the first free end and the second end of the actuating lever, wherein the actuating member is adapted to operate on the first free end of the actuating lever to cause the actuating lever to rotate.
CONVERTIBLE MOBILITY DEVICE
The present invention provides an assistive mobility device convertible between a rollator mode and a transport chair mode.
Wheel lock
A wheel lock device includes a base, a first arm, and a second arm. A base/first-arm mating portion includes a base/first-arm mating portion cross-sectional profile that changes along a length of the base/first-arm mating portion. A base/second-arm mating portion includes a base/second-arm mating portion cross-sectional profile that changes along a length of the base/second-arm mating portion. The first arm includes a first-arm/base mating portion that includes a first-arm/base mating portion cross-sectional profile that changes along a length of the first-arm/base mating portion in a direction toward the first-arm first aperture in a manner complementary to the base/first-arm mating portion cross-sectional profile. The second arm includes a second-arm/base mating portion that includes a second-arm/base mating portion cross-sectional profile that changes along a length of the second-arm/base mating portion in a direction toward the second-arm first aperture in a manner complementary to the base/second-arm mating portion cross-sectional profile.
Patient Transport Apparatus Drive Systems
A patient transport apparatus operable by a user for transporting a patient along stairs. A seat section is coupled to a support structure. A track having a belt is attached to the support structure and is arranged for selective operation between: a retracted position, and a deployed position to engage stairs. A drive system with a motor is disposed in rotational communication with the belt to control movement along stairs in the deployed position. A user interface us arranged for engagement to selectively adjust operation of the drive system between: an active state for controlling movement of the belt with the motor, and an inactive state. A braking controller is configured to sense movement of the belt in the inactive state, and to control the motor to limit movement of the belt in the inactive state to effect corresponding limited movement of the patient transport apparatus along stairs.
Power transmission mechanism
In a power transmission mechanism 20, a line connecting a center shaft 21 of a reference gear member 40 and a first shaft 44 of a first planetary gear member 42 and a line connecting the center shaft 21 of the reference gear member 40 and a second shaft 47 of a second planetary gear member 45 form a specific angle ?. Rotation in one direction is prevented when a first carrier member 22 and a second carrier member 32 are relatively rotated in a direction to decrease the specific angle ?. Further, a rotation prevention release unit is provided to release a prevention state of the rotation when the first carrier member 22 and the second carrier member 32 are relatively rotated in a direction to increase the specific angle ?.
Transport aid
The present disclosure illustrates a transport aid which can be quickly assembled, disassembled, and adjusted in width, and includes two support members, a chair seat and two horizontal assembly frames, wherein the horizontal assembly frames are disposed on left and right sides of the chair seat, respectively, and each includes a first quick connector assembled to a corresponding second quick connector of the chair seat, and ends of the two horizontal assembly frames are pivotally connected to corresponding support members, respectively, and other ends of the two horizontal assembly frames are assembled to each other through a quick packing connector for forming a horizontal bottom support member. As a result, the transport aid can be quickly disassembled into members for easy carry; furthermore, these members can be quickly assembled to a transport aid as a wheelchair, so that any person with disability can sit thereon and easily and comfortably be transported.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE PATIENT TRANSPORT APPARATUS
There is provided a patient transport apparatus. The apparatus includes a height-adjustable assembly having a longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes a brake cable. The brake cable includes an elongate portion extending along the height-adjustable assembly and includes a slack portion. The apparatus includes a brake cable housing coupled to and axially offset from the height-adjustable assembly. The slack portion of the brake cable is enclosed within a hollow interior of the brake cable housing.
Wheelchair braking device
An embodiment provides a wheelchair braking device, the wheelchair braking device including: at least two brake mechanisms, wherein, when the wheelchair braking device is engaged in a brake position on a wheelchair, at least one brake mechanism engages with a first of a plurality of wheels on the wheelchair and at least a second brake mechanism engages with a second of the plurality of wheels on the wheelchair; a connection component extending between the at least two brake mechanisms; and a brake handle connected to the connection component and causing movement of the at least two brake mechanisms simultaneously with respect to the plurality of wheels.
