Chairback support structure
A chairback support structure includes: a back element having a plurality of insertion holes; a plurality of resilient bend plates each having a bendable portion, two insertion portions extending from two ends of the bendable portion, respectively, and two abutting portions disposed at two ends of the bendable portion, respectively, the two insertion portions being insertable into the insertion holes of the back element, and the two abutting portions being adapted to abut against the back element; and a pad for covering the back element and the resilient bend plates.
Lifting pad for wheelchair
A lifting pad to be used with a wheelchair in order to provide additional comfort to a user is disclosed herein. The lifting pad comprises a cover with a seat portion and a backrest portion. The lifting pad also comprises a first slot formed in the seat portion and a second slot formed in the backrest portion in order to receive inserts such as foam inserts which are to provide comfort to a user. The lifting pad further comprises at least one foam insert arranged inside each of the first slot and the second slot found on the cover. The lifting pad is adapted to be placed on a seat to provide support and comfort to a user seated thereon.
Means for connecting a wheelchair backrest
The invention relates to means for releasably connecting a wheelchair backrest to a wheelchair frame. This is desirable to facilitate collapse of the wheelchair for transport or storage. In the preferred embodiment there is a wheelchair having a support frame, a backrest (16) and connector comprising a saddle (1) and a clamp (17). The saddle has a slot (3) with top and front openings and a locking lever (7). Two pins (12) are received in the slot so they extend through the front opening, and the lever (7) is able to move to divide the slot into top and bottom zones so that a lower one of the pins is prevented from being withdrawn from the slot via the top opening by the lever. The lever can then be moved to unblock the lower pin and allow the slot (3) and the pins (12) to be dissociated.

A folding electric wheelchair that provides the user an electronic driving system powered by two lithium-ion batteries that is sealed to be weatherproof, able to drive over different terrain types and slope grades on any given day whether it's raining or sunny, lightweight and portable for transportation, travel-friendly, compact in overall size when in the folded position to fit into a small space for storage. An ergonomically contoured seating that includes a bump dampening and terrain vibration system with the supporting frame pieces (34), (42), and (50) having an oval shape. The manner of how the embodiment operates to fold and unfold consists of eight specific hinge joint embodiments including: (30), (32), (38), (40), (46), (48), (58) and (64).
Overlay cushion with removable contouring members
The invention provides an overlay configured to substantially conform to a contoured surface. The overlay comprises at least a first layer having a rear surface on which a plurality of channels are located. Optionally, the overlay also comprises one or more removable contouring members, which are located between adjacent channels on the rear surface of the overlay.
Bracket
The invention relates to a postural support bracket for attaching to at least one postural support. The bracket is adapted to allow the postural support to adopt a variety of different positions, including positions in which the postural support is tilted. In one embodiment, the postural support bracket comprises a hinged region that when attached to one or more postural supports, allows the postural support to adopt a variety of different angles.
MOBILE PATIENT SUPPORT CHAIR
A mobile patient support chair to assist in bathing of a patient by a carer with little or no upper body strength comprises a chair pivotally mounted in a support frame comprised of four legs each ending in a wheel. The chair frame comprises groups of support panels which can be locked in support positions and rotated through 90 degrees to provide access to the patient's legs, buttocks and back. Additionally the chair is balanced to allow easy rotation into a fully backwards lying position, and a fully forward lying position. In the fully forward lying position flexible retaining strips are placed across the patient to retain them in place. Additionally the wheels may be step-climbing wheels to assist in climbing small steps found in bathroom entrances and shower cubicles.
MEANS FOR CONNECTING A WHEELCHAIR BACKREST
The invention relates to means for releasably connecting a wheelchair backrest to a wheelchair frame. This is desirable to facilitate collapse of the wheelchair for transport or storage. WHEELCHAIR INCORPORATED WITH A LIFT APPARATUS
A wheelchair incorporated with a lift apparatus is disclosed. The wheelchair comprises a pair of seat frame support bars, backrest support bars, and armrest frame support bars for supporting at least one seat cushion, backrest cushion, and armrest cushions. The wheelchair further comprises lower support bars positioned parallel and opposite each other on both sides of the wheelchair. The support assembly includes a plurality of scissor links pivotally connected to each other, and an end of the plurality of scissor links is pivotally affixed with needle bearings to the lower support bars and the seat frame support bars. The lift apparatus includes one or more actuators, positioned between the lower support bars and at least one scissor link on both sides. The actuators are configured to raise and lower the seat cushion by raising at least one scissor link, thereby raising and lowering the seat cushion to a desired adjustable height for the user.
Foldable multi-purpose wheelchair
A multi-purpose wheelchair is disclosed herein. The wheelchair comprises a tubular frame having two support members pivotally mounted and extending upwardly from the tubular frame. The wheelchair also comprises four legs pivotally mounted and extending downwardly from the tubular frame. The wheelchair comprises further four wheels arranged such that one wheel is provided with each of the legs. The wheelchair also comprises a split-seat with an opening supported on the base. Further, the wheelchair comprises a back support extending between the two support members.
