DYNAMICALLY ADJUSTABLE WIDTH WHEELCHAIR
An adjustable wheelchair and components thereof are provided. The wheelchair may include a first chassis connected to a first wheel on a first side of the wheelchair. The first chasses may include a first strut configured to laterally translate while supporting a seat. The wheelchair may further include a second chassis connected to a second wheel on a second side of the wheelchair. The second chasses may include a second strut configured to laterally translate while supporting the seat. A jack may be connected to the first chasses and second chasses. The jack may operatively cause the first and second chassis expand away from each other and contract toward each other to vary a width between the first side and second side of the wheelchair.
Auxiliary chair
An auxiliary chair includes a supporting unit and a seating unit. The supporting unit includes a plurality of chair legs. The seating unit includes a seat cushion and a cushion frame installed on a bottom surface of the seat cushion. The cushion frame includes two spaced support tubes and two spaced connecting plates. The first and second ends of each support tube are respectively connected to one of the chair legs through a cushion connection tube, so that the seating unit is supported by the chair legs of the supporting unit. A lug extends from each of the first and second ends of each support tube. The connecting plates straddle the first end and the second end of the support tubes respectively. The connecting plates are combined with the lugs of the support tubes by connecting members, so that the support tubes and the connecting plates are detachably combined.
Modular mobility systems
Provided are modular mobility systems that can be used as gait trainers, wheelchairs, and/or standing aids. Modular mobility systems provided comprise a mobility base, a gait trainer module, a wheelchair module, and/or a standing aid module. Modular mobility systems provided herein are designed to adjust to users of different sizes and of different abilities and/or needs.
ELEVATING WALKER CHAIR AND CONVERTIBLE SEAT
A convertible seat and an elevating walker chair having a convertible seat. The chair elevates by a parallelogram mechanism that can be functionally connected to a seat deployment mechanism to allow the seat to transform between a saddle and seat upon changes in saddle/seat elevation.
Wheelchair with integrated transfer device
A wheelchair including a supporting frame and moving means configured to allow the movement of the wheelchair, the supporting frame having a seating area for a user of the wheelchair, the wheelchair including first actuation means configured to translate the seating area laterally and externally with respect to the supporting frame and, at least partially, with respect to the moving means, in a transfer configuration of the user, supporting means being operationally associated with the seating area, being able to be activated in the transfer configuration of the seating area to support the seating area with respect to the ground, the seating area being defined, in the transfer configuration, by a main seat and a secondary seat able to be activated in the transfer configuration of the seating area to increase the extension of the main seat.
FOLDING WHEELCHAIR
A folding wheelchair is disclosed having a frame with two side portions, a seat and a folding mechanism. The folding mechanism has coupling connections, pivoting connections and a cross-strut with two bars crossing at a pivot point. First ends of each of the cross-strut bars are mounted rotatably on the side portions of the frame via the pivoting connections. Second ends of each of the cross-strut bars are releasably mounted on the other of the two side portions of the frame via the coupling connections. A distance between the frame side portions may be modified if the cross-strut bars second ends are released from the frame side portions. The cross-strut bars are pivoted relative to each other about the pivot point. The cross-strut extends from the first ends to the second ends of the bars in a cross-strut direction which, in the operating position, extends substantially along the seat.
Wheelchair Having An Adjustable Base
A wheelchair comprises a base assembly and a tilt assembly supported on the base assembly. The base assembly has a wheelbase and a wheel track. Each of the wheelbase and wheel track is independently adjustable. The tilt assembly is unchanged when either the wheelbase or wheel track is adjusted.
DEVICE FOR THE SIMULATION OF A SEATED POSITION IN A WHEELCHAIR
The invention relates to the field of wheelchairs and has been designed for the measurement of parameters for the adjustment of a seated position of the user. It relates to a device for the simulation of a seated position in a wheelchair, which includes a seat backrest (1) adjustable horizontally, vertically and during its reclination, two side seat pans (27) with armrests (3) with adjustable distance, a foldable seat pan (2) with adjustable reclination, two wheels (4) with adjustable horizontal and vertical position, and a footrest (5) with adjustable vertical position and its reclination, at least one electric motor or an electric piston (15) for the adjustment of the position of the adjustable components, an electronic circuit with special software for the control of the motors and the display of the measurements, as well as a virtual reality software. With this device, it is possible to measure the adjustment parameters for the seated position of a wheelchair user automatically and digitally by means of a software which is installed in the simulation device.
Folding wheelchair
A foldable wheelchair having side frames arranged on both sides of the wheelchair, a cross-strut assembly and seat tubes for receiving a seat cover, wherein the cross-strut assembly is mounted about parallel pivot axes in the side frames, and an axis of rotation of struts of the cross-strut assembly is arranged parallel to the pivot axes of the cross-strut assembly, and the cross-strut assembly is connected to the seat tubes, wherein the wheelchair has guide levers and each guide lever is mounted in the respective strut of the cross-strut assembly between the axis of rotation of the struts of the cross-strut assembly and the respective seat tube, and the guide lever is mounted at a distance therefrom in the side frame assigned to the seat tube so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis that is arranged parallel to the pivot axes of the cross-strut assembly.
