The platform mount may be rotatable about a platform pivot with respect to the second member. The lifting link assembly may rotate relative to the first member, the second member, and the base as the second member moves relative to the first member. The first member may rotate relative to the base as the lifting link assembly rotates relative to the first member.

Seat positioning system for a wheelchair

A seat positioning system includes a base frame having a pair of forward slots and a pair of rear slots, and a seat frame having a front end and a back end. The seat frame is coupled to the base frame and movable relative to the base frame. A first pair of linkages is slideably coupled to the pair of forward slots and connects the frames. A first pair of locking devices has a locked configuration adapted to prevent the first pair of linkages from sliding relative to the pair of forward slots and an unlocked configuration adapted to allow the first pair of linkages to slide relative to the pair of forward slots. A second pair of linkages slideably is coupled to the pair of rear slots and connects the frames. An actuator is pivotally connected to both the seat frame and the base frame and is configured to extend and contract to move the seat frame relative to the base frame.

A CONVEYANCE FOR SURMOUNTING OBSTACLES

A conveyance for surmounting obstacles which includes a first ground engaging arrangement, and a second ground engaging arrangement, and the first and second ground engaging arrangements are operable to move in an alternating sequence of movements to enable the conveyance to surmount obstacles. The conveyance is statically balanced alternately by one then the other of the ground engaging arrangements throughout the sequence of movements. Each ground engaging arrangement includes a forwardly disposed portion and a rearwardly disposed portion which are spaced apart from one another. Each ground engaging arrangement further includes an obstacle accommodating region located between the forwardly disposed portion and the rearwardly disposed portion which can accommodate a portion of an obstacle being surmounted during use.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A BATHING SYSTEM
20200214506 · 2020-07-09 ·

A bathing system, includes a transfer system having a carrier base and a transfer seat. A sliding of the transfer seat relative to the carrier base may facilitate transfer of the transfer seat toward or away from the tub. A first arm and a second arm of the carrier base extends into and overlaps with a first support surface and a second support surface of the tub respectively. A controller may be in operative communication with a plurality of sensors and determine whether the bathing system is in a state where it is permissible to transfer the transfer seat toward or away from the tub and if so, actuate components of the transfer system to permit the transfer of a patient in the transfer system.

Tracked Chair

A tracked powered chair is described. A side drive assembly comprises a powered sprocket, a forward non-powered two wheel bogey, and a rearward non-powered two wheel bogey. Each bogey has a respective pivot member pivotally fastened at a first pivot member end between the first and second bogey wheels, and a second pivot member end fastened to the frame such that the forward and rearward bogey each pivot independently from one another around its respective pivot member. The geometry of the drive assembly creates a non-isosceles shaped triangular appearance (no two sides are of equal length).

Wheelchair rear wheel support assembly and detachable armrest

A wheelchair rear wheel support assembly and a detachable arm assembly is described. The rear wheel support assembly is adjustable by finite adjustment both in the horizontal and vertical planes whereby to adjust the position of the rear wheels at a center of gravity to suit a user person to optimize the efforts of propulsion of the wheelchair by the user and thereby significantly increasing its quality of life. The detachable armrest is easily adjustable in height and can be pivoted away from its position of use by simple hand-operating levers easily accessible to the user person. It can also be easily removed with little effort.
