SEATING FURNITURE CHASSIS HAVING A HEIGHT-ADJUSTMENT SEAT SURFACE
A seating furniture chassis having a height-adjustable seat surface, a drive means, a shaft, a height-adjustment mechanism and a threaded rod, wherein the drive means is coupled to the shaft and is designed to transmit a torque to the threaded rod by means of the shaft, and wherein the height-adjustment mechanism is coupled to the threaded rod and to the seat surface such that a rotation of the threaded rod is converted into a height adjustment of the seat surface by means of the height-adjustment mechanism, characterized in that a longitudinal axis of the shaft is not arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of the threaded rod.
Adjustable Chair
An adjustable chair includes upper and lower base members, a seat assembly secured to the upper base member, and a chair adjusting mechanism. In an embodiment the upper base member is connected to the lower base member by first and second linking members each having a first end connected to the lower base member and a second end slideably received in corresponding first and second arcuate tracks disposed in the upper base member, such that movement of the second ends into and out of the tracks results in vertical movement of the seat assembly relative to the base. In a further embodiment the seat bottom and seat base comprise cooperating arcuate rails, tracks, and/or bearing members, where cooperative action of the arcuate rails, tracks, and/or bearing members enables the seat bottom to tilt relative to the seat base. In a further embodiment the seat bottom and seat back comprise cooperating arcuate rails, tracks, and/or bearing members, where cooperative action of the arcuate rails, tracks, and/or bearing members enables the seat back to recline relative to the seat bottom.
MOVING MECHANISM AND ELECTRIC VEHICLES AND TOYS EQUIPPING THE SAME
The present invention discloses a moving mechanism including a support; a driving device mounted on the support; a controller arranged on the support; two sets of moving assemblies respectively mounted at two ends of the support; wherein each of the moving assemblies includes a track and two synchronous wheels of different diameters arranged inside the track, such that the moving mechanism could be functioned and run freely over stairs, rugged road surface and all-terrain ground under the action of the driving device and the controller. The present invention also discloses electric vehicles and toys equipping the moving mechanism. The moving mechanism of the present invention overcomes shortcomings of conventional moving mechanisms by making use of a breakthrough composite structure of a half-wheel-half-track configuration in combination with an additional omni-directional wheel, whereby the moving mechanism and the electric vehicles and toys equipping the same are adaptable to different road surfaces and stairs of various angles, and also very convenient and reliable to use.
MOTORISED CHAIR
A chair comprising a sub-frame in contact with the ground and connected to the chair the sub-frame including four wheels to support the chair on the ground and a set of powered driving wheels connected to the rear of the sub-frame to allow the chair to be propelled.
ADJUSTABLE WHEELCHAIR ARRANGEMENTS
An adjustable wheelchair includes a base frame having a first guide portion defining a first arcuate channel, and a seat frame having a second guide portion defining a second arcuate channel confronting the first arcuate channel. A first bearing assembly is secured to a front end of the first arcuate channel and extends into bearing engagement with the second arcuate channel. A rear bearing assembly is secured to a rear end of the second arcuate channel and extends into bearing engagement with the first arcuate channel. The seat frame is slideable in an arcuate path defined by the first and second arcuate channels for adjustment of a tilt angle of the seat frame with respect to the base frame.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED POSITIONING OF USER SUPPORT SURFACES IN POWER DRIVEN WHEELCHAIR
By programming position parameters corresponding to user support surfaces of a power driven wheelchair, movement of the user support surfaces is automated. The user support surfaces can be positioned individually, as part of a sequence or as part of a series of sequences. Accordingly, with little effort, a user can position the user support surfaces of the wheelchair to a predefined position.
Tilt assembly for a powered wheelchair and a powered wheelchair comprising the same
The present disclosure relates to a tilt assembly (1) for a powered wheelchair (15), comprising: an elongated base member (3) provided with an axial channel, a lifting member (5) configured to be received by the base member (3) and to move rectilinearly in the channel, between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the base member (3), a tilt frame (7) pivotally connected to the lifting member (5), the tilt frame (7) being configured for mounting a seat assembly (21) thereto, and an actuator arm (9) pivotally connected to the base member (3) and to the tilt frame (7), the actuator arm (9) being configured to be actuated between a retracted actuator position and a fully extended actuator position, wherein the tilt frame (7) is configured to obtain a perpendicular orientation relative to a central axis (11) of the lifting member (5) when the lifting member (5) is in the retracted position and the actuator arm is in the retracted actuator position and to be inclined relative to the central axis (11) when the lifting member (5) is in an extended position and actuator arm is in the retracted actuator position, to thereby provide a tilt functionality.
Transport apparatus
A first transport apparatus includes a deck for supporting a patient thereon and a lift mechanism supporting the deck. The deck is removable from the lift mechanism for use as a second transport apparatus or part of a second transport apparatus. The first transport apparatus further includes an electrically powered device at the first transport apparatus, and a user input device for wireless control of the electrically powered device, which is operable at or near the first transport apparatus and the second transport apparatus.
Lovemaking apparatus for the disabled with pivoting tabletop platform and pivoting wheelchair seat
The lovemaking apparatus includes a table having a slidable platform pivotally mounted in a U-shaped opening defined in an end of the table and a wheelchair having a chair assembly that is pivotally mounted on a wheelchair frame. The wheelchair may be rolled to the platform end of the table so that the seat and leg rest portion of the chair assembly is below the free end of the platform, linear actuators may be actuated to pivot the platform at an angle using switches mounted at the platform end of the table, and the platform may be slid downward towards the seat of the chair assembly of the wheelchair. Linear actuators mounted on the wheelchair frame may be actuated to tilt the back of the chair assembly rearward and raise the seat of the chair assembly upward to position partners for sexual relations.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING DETACHABLE BARRIER ASSEMBLY
A patient support apparatus that is adaptable to multiple modes of transport includes a variable length base and a drive system that includes two independently drivable wheels that are responsive to inputs from a user to steer the patient support apparatus.
