SEAT POSITIONING SYSTEM FOR A WHEELCHAIR
A seat positioning system includes a base frame having a pair of forward slots and a pair of rear slots, and a seat frame having a front end and a back end. The seat frame is coupled to the base frame and movable relative to the base frame. A first pair of linkages is slideably coupled to the pair of forward slots and connects the frames. A first pair of locking devices has a locked configuration adapted to prevent the first pair of linkages from sliding relative to the pair of forward slots and an unlocked configuration adapted to allow the first pair of linkages to slide relative to the pair of forward slots. A second pair of linkages slideably is coupled to the pair of rear slots and connects the frames. An actuator is pivotally connected to both the seat frame and the base frame and is configured to extend and contract to move the seat frame relative to the base frame.
SHOWER/COMMODE WHEELED CHAIR
A shower/commode wheeled chair adapted to be locatable over a commode, the shower/commode wheeled chair comprising a frame, a seat support portion, a front portion extending downwardly from the seat support portion, a back support, a shower/commode seat, wheels and a footrest coupled to the front portion.
Foldable tiltable wheelchair and frame therefor
A foldable tiltable wheelchair that overcomes the foregoing deficiencies comprises a base frame comprising laterally spaced side frames. A tiltable seat frame is supported for pivotal movement in relation to the base frame. The tiltable seat frame comprises laterally spaced seat rails. A first foldable cross-member provides a rigid connection between the seat rails when in an unfolded position. According to one embodiment, a second foldable cross-member provides a rigid connection between the side frames when in an unfolded position. The first and second foldable cross-members coupled so that moving one cross-member moves the other cross-member. According to another embodiment, the tiltable seat frame comprises a seat back supported in relation to the seat frame. The seat back comprises laterally spaced back canes. The first foldable cross-member is coupled to the seat frame so that the back canes are supported in relation to the first foldable cross-member so as to limit lateral flexure of the back canes. The first foldable cross-member is foldable to a folded position to fold the wheelchair.
BATH TRANSFER CHAIR
A transfer apparatus for receiving the chair seat of a wheelchair and supporting the chair seat in the base of a washing enclosure. The transfer apparatus has a chair support member including a chair support track section that can be positioned in the washing enclosure base, a bridge portion with a bridge track section that is movably mounted to the chair support member. The transfer apparatus includes a lock system usable to secure the bridge portion in an in-use position and engaged with the wheelchair. A first lock inhibits rotational motion of the bridge portion. The first lock includes a retractable locking member that is biased to an extended, locking position. A second lock is usable to prevent longitudinal separation of the bridge portion and the wheelchair. The first and second lock can be automatically engaged when the bridge portion is moved to the in-use position.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS ADAPTABLE TO MULTIPLE MODES OF TRANSPORT
A patient support apparatus that is adaptable to multiple modes of transport includes a variable length base and a drive system that includes two independently drivable wheels that are responsive to inputs from a user to steer the patient support apparatus.
RIGID FRAME WHEELCHAIR
A rigid frame wheelchair of a box frame design includes a base frame which has a rear axle for receiving rear wheels and a left-hand side strut and a right-hand side strut for receiving steering wheels in the front regions of the side struts, an L-shaped seat-foot support frame having an L-shaped left-hand strut and an L-shaped right-hand strut, wherein each L-shaped strut has a seat tube segment and a foot support tube segment, and wherein the seat-foot support frame further has a transverse strut that connects the L-shaped struts, two coupling units that connect together in an articulated manner the base frame in the left-hand and right-hand front region to the seat-foot support frame in the region of the left-hand and right-hand foot support tube segments about an axis vertically to a sagittal plane for an angular adjustment, and wherein the foot support tube segments are adjustably mounted for a seat height adjustment, a left-hand frame connector and a right-hand frame connector, wherein the frame connectors fixedly connect together the base frame and the seat tube segments, and wherein the seat tube segments are configured to be connected to the frame connectors in various positions.
In such a wheelchair the adjustment of the seat height and the seat angle is able to be carried out with low material use and reduced operating effort.
Moving mechanism and electric vehicles and toys equipping the same
A moving mechanism includes a support; a driving device mounted on the support; a controller arranged on the support; two sets of moving assemblies respectively mounted at two ends of the support; wherein each of the moving assemblies includes a track and two synchronous wheels of different diameters arranged inside the track, such that the moving mechanism is functioned and run freely over stairs, rugged road surfaces and all-terrain ground under the action of the driving device and the controller. Besides, the moving mechanism is equipped on electric vehicles and toys. The moving mechanism applies a breakthrough composite structure of a half-wheel-half-track configuration in combination with an additional omni-directional wheel, whereby the moving mechanism and the electric vehicles and toys equipping the same are adaptable to different road surfaces and stairs of various angles, and also convenient and reliable to use.
Reclining transport chairs
A transport chair is provided that includes a base frame, a seat assembly pivotally mounted to the base, and a footrest assembly pivotally mounted to the base frame, the footrest assembly being associated with the seat assembly so as to pivot in unison with the seat assembly until the seat assembly is pivoted forward to an extent at which the footrest assembly contacts the floor or ground, at which point the footrest assembly does not pivot further upon further forward pivoting of the seat assembly. Further embodiments of the transport chair allow the seat assembly to recline, alone or in unison with a leg rest assembly, while the footrest remains in position.
INTELLIGENT APPARATUS FOR PATIENT GUIDANCE AND DATA CAPTURE DURING PHYSICAL THERAPY AND WHEELCHAIR USAGE
A system for guiding and evaluating physical positioning, orientation and motion of the human body, comprising: a cloud computing-based subsystem including an artificial neural network and spatial position analyzer said cloud computing-based subsystem adapted for data storage, management and analysis; at least one motion sensing device wearable on the human body, said at least one motion sensing device adapted to detect changes in at least one of spatial position, orientation, and rate of motion; a mobile subsystem running an application program (app) that controls said at least one motion sensing device, said mobile subsystem adapted to capture activity data quantifying said changes in at least one of spatial position, orientation, and rate of motion, said mobile subsystem further adapted to transfer said activity data to said cloud computing-based subsystem, wherein said cloud computing-based subsystem processes, stores, and analyzes said activity data.
