A drawing data generation apparatus includes a first intermediate data generation section that generates first intermediate data from formation image data in which a formation image is indicated as a cluster of drawing components, a second intermediate data generation section that generates, from the first intermediate data, second intermediate data indicating drawing content of each line-shaped region of the formation image, and a drawing data generation section that generates, from the second intermediate data, drawing data indicating drawing content of each line-shaped region in a row of pixel data. The second intermediate data generation section selects, based on the first intermediate data, either a first scheme of arranging an overlap of the drawing components and generating the second intermediate data from the cluster of drawing components or a second scheme of expressing and integrating the drawing components as a cluster of the pixels and generating the second intermediate data.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium for an information processing apparatus contains instructions which cause, when executed by a controller, the information processing apparatus to perform identifying a sheet size of a sheet which is used for printing based on identifying data, the identifying data being received through the input interface and identifying the sheet size based on the received identifying data, receiving image data which is output by the application, when the received image data represents an image in which a first object is arranged, when the size of the image is a first size, and when the identified sheet size is a second size, extracting object image data representing the first object from the image data received in the receiving process, generating printing data, and outputting the generated printing data to be transmitted to the printer through the communication interface.

An information processing device includes an acquisition unit acquiring pre-printing image data that is obtained by digitizing, as an image, the fabric before the printing process is performed and at least one of pre-drawing image data that is obtained by digitizing, as an image, the fabric after the pre-processing is performed and before the image is drawn and post-drawing image data that is obtained by digitizing, as an image, the fabric before the post-processing is performed and after the image is drawn, a storage unit storing derivation data indicating a correspondence relationship between the pre-printing image data, the pre-drawing image data or the post-drawing image data, and a recommended parameter for at least one of the pre-processing device and the post-processing device, and a control unit deriving, based on the derivation data, the recommended parameter from the pre-printing image data, the pre-drawing image data or the post-drawing image data.

According to one embodiment, a control unit of a printing system determines a printing region on an object to be printed being conveyed by a conveyance machine, the printing region being provided to be printed any write information therein as printing information, determines whether or not the printing information having a specified character size can be printed in the printing region, and performs adjustment of a printing format of the printing information, the adjustment including at least changing the character size, so that the printing information can be printed in the printing region when determining that the printing information cannot be printed in the printing region. A printing unit prints the printing information having the adjusted printing format in the printing region of the object to be printed according to a timing at which the printing region of the object to be printed being conveyed by the conveyance machine passes through the printing unit.

An image processing apparatus sets, for at least one portion of a first image in which a brightness range is a first range, relationship information which associates an input brightness value with an output brightness value, changes, based on the relationship information, brightness values of pixels in the portion, and outputs a second image which has a second range of brightness. A printing apparatus includes a transport unit, a printing unit, a reading unit, and a control unit configured to control the transport unit and the printing unit to perform first printing processing and second printing processing, wherein the control unit prints, in the first printing processing, a code group including a first code of a first size and a second code of a second size larger than the first size on a first medium that is the medium, acquires reading data that is a result of reading, by the reading unit, of the code group printed on the first medium, determines a code size to be adopted for the second printing processing based on the reading data, and, in the second printing processing, prints a third code of the code size on a medium of the same type as that of the first medium.

The image processing apparatus includes: a color conversion unit configured to convert an input color space of the document image data into a device-dependent color space specified by the plurality of color materials; and an output unit configured to output the document image data converted into the device-dependent color space, and the color conversion unit performs, in a case where the document image data includes a first kind of object and a second kind of object different from the first kind, the conversion by selectively applying a first color conversion method of converting data corresponding to the first kind of object into data represented in a first color space and a second color conversion method of converting data corresponding to the second kind of object into data represented in a second color space different from the first color space within one print job.

An image processing system and method provide for receiving a digital document page to be printed. The page includes a background region for which no color is specified. A user is presented with an option to select a print medium from a set of print media of different colors and to select an option for a color of the selected print medium be used as a color of a background layer of the digital document page. When the option is selected, a background layer is inserted into the page. A print job incorporating the processed digital document page is output to an associated printer that is configured to convert the color of the background layer to colorant values that use the print media as a colorant for rendering at least a part of the background region.

An image forming apparatus has an office direct print function, and when a non-installed font that is not installed in the image forming apparatus is included in application data, a font substitution guidance screen is displayed on a display. A drop-down list that is an operator for selecting a substitute font is provided in the font substitution guidance screen, whereby a user can arbitrarily select a substitute font. The time curve may have been produced by the print data,
