When generating corrected image data from the present page based on the print job, the image processing apparatus reuses a result of image process for correction to the pixel group of the reference page at the same coordinates for a region of the first pixel group of the present page, reuses a result of image process for correction to the pixel group of the reference page on the same axis in the paper conveying direction for a region of the second pixel group of the present page, and newly executes the image process for correction to a region of other pixel groups which have not been detected as the first pixel group and as the second pixel group of the present page.

A printing system includes a printing device. The printing device includes a raster image processor (RIP) system that renders pages of a print job for printing. The RIP system processes pages of the print job in parallel. It also processes job is parallel. If an error occurs when processing a page using a standard RIP, then the RIP system activates a failover RIP. The failover RIP uses a different strategy for processing the page than a standard RIP. The failover RIP is configured to implement the strategy. A failover queue is used to store error pages to wait for processing by the failover queue. The processed page is outputted from the failover RIP to a front end of the RIP system.

An image processing apparatus includes a setting unit configured to set a target region, a first acquisition unit configured to acquire a plurality of texture data for applying a metal representation on an image, a second acquisition unit configured to acquire an output condition when outputting the target region, a selection unit configured to select texture data based on the output condition, and an application unit configured to apply, to the target region, the texture data selected by the selection unit.

A printing apparatus and a printing method which can suppress lowering of reading accuracy of a two-dimensional code caused by shift of a printing position of an image are provided. For that purpose, in printing of the two-dimensional code by a plurality of times of scanning, in a case where a boundary between image regions crosses a square-shaped minimum information element (cell) of the two-dimensional code, a printing position of the two-dimensional code is moved so that the boundary between the image regions comes to an end portion of the cell.

An image processing device includes an image data acquisition section configured to acquire image data of an image to be printed on a print medium; a parameter acquisition section configured to acquire parameters for performing physical based rendering of the print medium on which the image is to be printed as a 3D object, the parameters including a normal line map representing a normal line direction of an irregularities surface of the print medium related to a reflection direction of light incident on the print medium; a correction section configured to correct strength of an application effect of the normal line map corresponded with the 3D object; and a rendering execution section for generating a rendering image representing the print medium on which the image is printed by executing the physical based rendering using the image data and the parameters.

An image processing apparatus scans an image of a document into image data, splits the image data into a plurality of areas to generate split image data, magnifies the split image data, and aggregates the magnified split image data at least based on a font size of one or more characters included in the split image data.

According to the present invention, in a case where a plurality of corresponding pixels in a pre-converted original image is determined to include both a fully transparent pixel and a not fully transparent pixel, a color value of a pixel in a converted image is obtained based on the color value of the not fully transparent pixel among the corresponding pixels, and a degree of opacity of the pixel in the converted image is obtained by using the degrees of opacity of all the corresponding pixels.

An image forming apparatus includes at least one photoconductor unit including a charging roller and a photoconductor. A charging bias obtained by superimposing an AC voltage on a DC voltage is applied to the charging roller. The photoconductor is disposed opposite the charging roller across a gap. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the photoconductor based on image data. The image forming apparatus further includes a high-voltage power supply to generate an output feedback voltage, a control unit as circuitry to control the high-voltage power supply based on the output feedback voltage and refer to first data to calculate the gap value corresponding to the voltage indicated by the output feedback voltage. The first data indicates a relation between the voltage indicated by the output feedback voltage and a gap value indicating a size of the gap.

A print control apparatus includes: a job reception unit that receives a print job in which a plurality of different print conditions are capable of being set; a setting reception unit that receives setting of a single print condition among the plurality of print conditions; a print execution unit that prints an image based on the print job as a result of executing the print job in accordance with a single print condition. The print execution unit, when the print condition set in the setting reception unit is changed during execution of the print job, prints an image based on the print job executed under the print condition subsequent to the change immediately after an image based on the print job executed under the print condition prior to the change.
