Inkjet Printer, Time Synchronization Method Therefor, and Setting Screen Using Same
When printing on the same printing object with multiple print nozzles in the past, consideration was not given to cases in which the time relationships of the set times and times-to-be-printed become mismatched between the respective print items of the print nozzles. To solve said problem, the present invention is an inkjet printer for printing on a conveyed printing object and having multiple print nozzles, multiple auxiliary control units for controlling the printing performed by the multiple print nozzles, and a common main control unit connected to the multiple auxiliary control units via communication means. The main control unit is configured to be equipped with: an extracting function for extracting the time relationship of the set times and the time relationship of the times-to-be-printed between the items to be printed by the respective print nozzles of the multiple print nozzles; and a revising function for revising the print data so as to preserve the time relationship of the set times.
Method and device for automatic insertion of proof sheets in running printing applications in digital printing systems
In a method or controller to execute a proof job of a copy print job, the proof job including a printing of a proof sheet, at a first point in time first raster data for the print sheet of the copy print job is provided. After expiration of a first provisioning time period at least one first job is inserted for printing a plurality of copies of the print sheet into a print buffer. A second point in time is determined at which the print buffer includes a first number of copies of the print sheet that are to be printed, the first number being such that a time period for printing of the first number of copies is greater than or equal to a second provisioning time period for providing of second raster data for the proof sheet of the proof job. After expiration of the second provisioning time period a second job is inserted to print the proof sheet into the print buffer so that copies of the print sheet and the proof sheet are printed according to an order of the first and the second jobs in the print buffer.
Image forming apparatus capable of speeding up drawing process, an image forming method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium
An image forming apparatus includes a control circuit configured to determine whether one of an x-coordinate and a y-coordinate of a path specified in each of successive drawing commands for vector objects is the same, wherein the successive drawing commands are received in incoming printable data. The control circuit is further configured to execute, when there is a new successive drawing command for a vector object in which one of an x-coordinate and a y-coordinate of the path specified by the new successive drawing command is different from the x-coordinate or y-coordinate that has been determined to be the same for previously received successive drawing commands, all of the previously received successive drawing commands having the same x-coordinate or y-coordinate.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus prints, when a first product is read by a reading apparatus, a first work instruction sheet including information about all products to be delivered to a first destination of the read first product, prints, if all products to be delivered to the first destination are read by the reading apparatus, a first shipping label for delivery to the first destination, determines, if a second product to be delivered to a second destination different from the first destination is read by the reading apparatus, whether any other product is to be delivered to the second destination, and prints, if it is determined that there no other product is to be delivered to the second destination, a second shipping label for delivery to the second destination.
PRINTING SYSTEM, AND SET AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM THEREFOR
A printing system includes a printer and an information processing device that includes a processor and a memory storing processor-executable instructions, the instructions being configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to, when there is not information stored in a queue area of the memory, determine to instruct the printer to start a pre-printing operation based on preparation instruction information, when there is information stored in the queue area, determine not to instruct the printer to start the pre-printing operation, in response to determining to instruct the printer to start the pre-printing operation, store the preparation instruction information into the queue area, in response to determining to instruct the printer to start the pre-printing operation and storing the preparation instruction information into the queue area, generate print data based on specified contents data, and store print instruction information into the queue area.
Method and system for rendering rectangle drawing objects using one-line raster image data
A method and system for rendering rectangle drawing objects are provided. For at least a first rectangle drawing object and a second rectangle drawing object, a determination is made if the second rectangle drawing object satisfies a predetermined condition with respect to the first rectangle drawing object. If the predetermined condition is satisfied, one-line raster image data associated with the second rectangle drawing object is generated and stored in a data buffer. The one-line raster image data indicates a filling color of the second rectangle drawing object over a first extent in a first direction. Subsequently, the one-line raster image data may be used a number of times over a second extent in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction to fill a drawing region corresponding to at least the second rectangle drawing object.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus configured to receive print data, analyze the print data, and print the print data includes a control unit configured to control activation of a plurality of analysis units respectively supporting different data formats, a reception unit configured to receive from an external apparatus a predetermined inquiry received before receiving print data from the external apparatus, and a notification unit configured to notify the external apparatus of a response to the predetermined inquiry, the response including at least information indicating a predetermined data format supported by the printing apparatus, wherein, based on the predetermined inquiry, the control unit activates one of the analysis units that supports the predetermined data format indicated by the information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF COPING WITH SPEEDUP OF PRINTING OPERATION WITHOUT REQUIRING DESIGN CHANGE OF CONTROLLER, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus capable of coping with speedup of a printing operation without requiring a design change of a controller is provided. The image forming apparatus includes an image generating unit configured to generate image data, an image forming unit configured to control image formation based on the image data, a storage unit that is provided between the image generating unit and the image forming unit and temporarily stores the image data, a first connecting unit that connects the image generating unit and the storage unit and performs transferring of the image data at a first operating frequency, and a second connecting unit that connects the storage unit and the image forming unit and performs transferring of the image data at a second operating frequency higher than the first operating frequency. When a predetermined data amount is accumulated in the storage unit, the accumulated image data is transferred to the image forming unit.
LONG RUNNING WORKFLOWS FOR DOCUMENT PROCESSING USING ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION
Systems and methods for executing a robotic process automation (RPA) workflow for document processing are provided. An input document is processed by a first robot executing one or more document processing activities of the RPA workflow. The document processing activities may include optical character recognition, digitization, classification, or data extraction. Execution of the RPA workflow is suspended by the first robot in response to a user validation activity of the RPA workflow. The user validation activity provides for user validation of the results of the one or more document processing activities. A user request that requests validation of the results from an end user is generated and the user request is transmitted to the end user. The execution of the RPA workflow is resumed by a second robot based on the validation received from the end user.
