Determining ejection order of recording sheets based on predicted rasterization time
An image forming apparatus includes: rasterization processors that rasterize input image data and generate raster image data; a predictor that predicts a rasterization processing time required for the rasterization processors to rasterize input image data of a unit to be subjected to an image formation process on each recording paper sheet; a hardware processor that determines an order in which the rasterization processors rasterize the input image data of the unit; an image former that performs the image formation process based on the raster image data; a sheet ejection processor that acquires, from the image former, each recording paper sheet subjected to the image formation process, and performs a sheet ejection process; and the hardware processor that determines an order of the recording paper sheets to be ejected by the sheet eject processor, to adjust the order of the recording paper sheets to an order of pages.
PRINT DEVICE, PRODUCTION METHOD OF PRINTED MATTER, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
A print device includes a storage unit that stores feature of a print medium and print data of a page to be printed on the print medium in association with each other, a reading unit that generates medium image data by reading the print medium which is already printed before interrupt of printing after the interrupt, a setting unit that sets a print restart page based on the feature of the print medium and the medium image data, and a print unit that performs printing based on the print data after the print restart page after resolving a cause of the interrupt of printing.
Inkjet printer and inkjet recording method
An inkjet printer system that records images in a shorter time while taking ink drying time into account includes an output data generator including an ink information acquirer, a hard-to-dry index acquirer, a first image setter, a first area setter, and a layout arranger. The ink information acquirer acquires, for two or more images, ink information including an amount of ink required to record the images. The hard-to-dry index acquirer acquires, for each of the two or more images, a hard-to-dry index calculated from the ink information and indicating how difficult the ink is to dry. The first image setter sets an image having a highest hard-to-dry index to be a first image. The first area setter sets a first area in a recording area of a recording medium that is upstream in a conveying direction. The layout arranger arranges the first image in the first area earlier than other images.
Image forming apparatus, and method of controlling the same
An image forming apparatus stores raster image data corresponding to a background in a compressed format and generates intermediate data corresponding to a foreground of the background based on obtained print data. A decompressor decompresses the raster image data stored in the memory device and a rasterizer generates new raster image data based on the raster data corresponding to the background obtained by the decompression and the generated intermediate data corresponding to the foreground. When a request is made to stop the generation of the new raster image data in a state of waiting for at least a portion of the raster image data corresponding to the background to be decompressed, the rasterizer stops generation of the new raster image data, and the decompressor continues decompressing the at least a portion of the raster image data corresponding to the background.
PROCESSING OF 3D PRINTING FILES
A method is described in which a 3D printing file is processed, the 3D printing file having a header and including a plurality of compressed files. The method comprises reading a content of the header of the 3D printing file, identifying, based on the header content, a relation file among the plurality of compressed files, identifying, based on the relation file, a main 3D model file among the plurality of compressed files. Further the method comprises creating, by uncompressing the main 3D model file, a data stream, and analyzing, with a parser, the data stream, thereby directly processing the main 3D model file when being uncompressed.
Image processing device and method for controlling multiple processors to process image data
An image processing device including a plurality of processors that execute arithmetic processing on image data, an information retaining portion that retains information related to arithmetic processing speeds of the plurality of processors, and a control portion that, among the image data, designates partial data to be processed by the respective processors and causes the plurality of processors to execute arithmetic processing, in which the control portion determines partial data for causing the plurality of processors to process on the basis of the information.
Information processing apparatus, program, printing apparatus, and printing system for printing related information associated with code information
An information processing apparatus includes a code information acquisition unit that acquires code information indicated by a code image, and a print data generation unit that generates print data based on related information extracted based on the code information acquired by the code information acquisition unit from a database in which the code information and the related information are stored in association with each other.
PAGE WIDE ARRAY PRINT JOB INTERRUPTIONS
Examples include a method comprising preparing nominal firing data of a print job for a first printhead die and for a second printhead die of a page wide array printer. The first printhead die is located downstream from the second printhead die along a media path of the printer, the printhead dies being offset along the media path by an offset distance. The methods comprises starting printing by applying the nominal firing data to the printhead dies; receiving a print job interruption request during printing of the print job; and in response to receiving the job interruption request, modifying the nominal firing data to obtain modified firing data for interrupting printing using the first printhead die while continuing printing using the second printhead die during a specific time period after the first printhead die interrupted the printing, the specific time corresponding to the offset distance.
DOCUMENT OPERATION COMPLIANCE
Examples disclosed herein relate to receiving a request to perform an operation on a document, determining whether the document complies with a plurality of operation policies, and in response to determining that the document complies with the plurality of operation policies, providing a notification that the operation is ready to be performed and digitally signing the document.
SECURE RELEASE OF PRINT JOBS IN PRINTING DEVICES
In one example, a method is disclosed in which a key is generated in a client device when a print job is triggered at the client device. The key and the print job are provided to a printing device. Further, a first thumbnail of a page of the print job is generated in the client device. The page is determined as a function of the key. A first secure image is generated in the client device using the key and the first thumbnail. The first secure image is shared with the printing device. The first secure image is verified by the printing device using the provided key and then the print job is released upon successful verification.
