Printer
A printer includes a print engine, a processor, and a memory. The print engine is configured to print an image on a print medium. The memory stores instructions, the instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the printer to perform: in a case where a plurality of layers is included in a document file that is acquired from one of a storage medium connected to the printer and an apparatus configured to communicate with the printer, determining whether the plurality of layers includes a selection target layer that is a layer corresponding to a same language as a language indicated by language information acquired from an information source; in response to determining that the plurality of layers includes the selection target layer, determining a layer including the selection target layer as a print target layer; and controlling the print engine to print the print target layer.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a sensor configured to detect an original, a nonvolatile storage that includes a semiconductor area, a setting unit configured to execute a setting for dividing the semiconductor area into a plurality of areas, and a controller configured to execute Trim processing on the divided areas in response to passing of a predetermined time period while the image forming apparatus is in a standby state. The controller is configured to stop the Trim processing based on a detection of the original detected by the sensor while the Trim processing is executed.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes processing circuitry; and a memory storing computer-executable instructions that cause the processing circuitry to transmit an image acquisition request to an image display apparatus upon detecting that a predetermined condition is satisfied; receive image data of an image displayed on the image display apparatus, transmitted from the image display apparatus in response to the image acquisition request; and store the received image data in a shared storage destination.
Image processing apparatus that executes multiple applications
An image processing apparatus includes a selecting unit that selects multiple applications from multiple applications that perform first processing of reading an image in a form corresponding to setting values that are set beforehand and that have to be set to execute each application, and perform second processing with regard to the read image, an executing unit that executes the selected multiple applications, and a controller that controls the executing unit to execute the first processing and the second processing by one application alone, and to not execute the first processing but to execute the second processing by another application with regard to the image read by the one application.
Image processing apparatus and method for estimating paper thickness
An image processing apparatus includes: a reader that reads a paper sheet with a background plate serving as a background; and a hardware processor, wherein the hardware processor: obtains, from the reader, a first color value in which an image on one side of the paper sheet is read, a second color value in which a ground color of the other side of the paper sheet is read, and a third color value in which a portion corresponding to the image on the other side of the paper sheet is read; and estimates a thickness of the paper sheet on the basis of the first to third color values while referring to a predetermined table.
Colorspace encoding multimedia data on a physical page
Techniques to improve storage of information, including encoding of multimedia data on physical pages. Some techniques include logic configured to encode multimedia data pursuant to a colorspace scheme and on a piece of paper. The logic may further be configured to generate one or more colorspaces associated with the multimedia data, perform colorspace conversions based on the generated colorspaces, and encode the multimedia data pursuant to the colorspace conversions. The logic may be further configured to apply one or both of an ultraviolet layer and an infrared layer to the physical page, e.g. paper, in order to further enhance security and provide an additional vehicle for storing and encoding data on the physical page, e.g. paper. The logic may further be configured to provide a scanning device with the ability to scan and decode the encoded data one the sheet of paper. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Information processing system, information processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium for executing printing using stored information
An information processing system includes: a storage unit that stores first printing information on already executed printing in association with an image for printing converted from the first printing information; and an execution unit that, when second printing information included in a printing instruction which instructs execution of printing is identical to the first printing information stored in the storage unit, executes printing according to the printing instruction using the image for printing.
Industrial printing system, server, and variable printing method for reprinting archived jobs based on expiry date
Provided is an industrial printing system that reprints each variable print record based on its expiration date. Industrial printing system X processes variable data for production printing. A variable attribute generation unit generates variable attribute information in which an expiration date is set for each record of variable data. An archive job generating unit generates an archive job for reprinting the variable data that includes the variable attribute information generated by the variable attribute generation unit. A reprint unit reprints each record of the archive job generated by the archive job generation unit based on the expiration date.
Information processing apparatus
An information processing apparatus includes a non-volatile semiconductor storage device including a flash memory, a write buffer memory that stores data that is to be stored onto the non-volatile semiconductor storage device, and a controller that performs control to write in a batch onto the non-volatile semiconductor storage device the data stored on the write buffer memory when an amount of the data stored on the write buffer memory reaches a predetermined amount of data.
COLORSPACE ENCODING MULTIMEDIA DATA ON A PHYSICAL PAGE
