A lifting pad to be used with a wheelchair in order to provide additional comfort to a user is disclosed herein. The lifting pad comprises a cover with a seat portion and a backrest portion. The lifting pad also comprises a first slot formed in the seat portion and a second slot formed in the backrest portion in order to receive inserts such as foam inserts which are to provide comfort to a user. The lifting pad further comprises at least one foam insert arranged inside each of the first slot and the second slot found on the cover. The lifting pad is adapted to be placed on a seat to provide support and comfort to a user seated thereon.

A standing chair comprises a main frame support assembly with a first frame support and a second frame support, at least two collapsible support arms with a first end and a second end, at least one bracket, at least one seat assembled to the collapsible support arms, a drive member positioned between right frame support and one collapsible support arm, another drive member positioned between left frame support and other collapsible support arm and a foot rest assembly with a pair of leg support bars. Right and left frame supports are parallelly connected and locked via a connecting means. The first ends of collapsible arms are moveably affixed to both right and left frame supports, whereas second ends are pivotally connected to a backrest support via fasteners. The two collapsible support arms are configured to automatically collapse and retract in accordance to sitting or standing mode of the standing chair.

A SEATING SUPPORT

The invention provides a customizable seating support for a seat base that is particularly useful for supporting a physically disabled person in a chair, such as a wheelchair. The seating support includes a posterior portion and a pair of thigh supports that are connected to the posterior portion, via a multi-directional connection, so that the position of at least one thigh support is independently adjustable to tilt upwardly or downwardly or to pivot outwardly relative to the posterior portion to an abducted position. In some embodiments, at least one of the thigh supports may be configured to pivot inwardly relative to the posterior portion to an adducted position.
