SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING AN EXISTING DYNAMIC TRANSACTION CARD
A system for securely updating an electronic transaction card held by an account holder with an additional account and/or account data is described. A dynamic transaction card may be securely updated with an additional account by using pre-stored shell data and/or inactive data, whereby the pre-stored shell data may be populated using data received from an issuer system and/or the inactive data may be activated via an activation signal received from a mobile device. A backend server may determine, via a fraud determination, expiration determination, and/or user-request, that new account data should be transmitted to an account holder. The dynamic transaction card may receive the data associated with a notification, update a display, instruct an EMV applet to use a key associated with a received EMV key identifier for signatures, and/or update any additional data stored on the dynamic transaction card.
Smartcard cleaning and sorting systems and methods
Various arrangements are presented for cleaning and sorting transaction cards. A transaction card may be dispensed from an intake magazine that houses a plurality of smartcards. The transaction card may be moved along a cleaning assembly. After cleaning the transaction card, the transaction card may be sorted and output into an output magazine. A card sensor may be used to determine when a next transaction card should be dispensed.

PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE, NON-CONTACT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND NON-CONTACT COMMUNICATION METHOD
A portable electronic device of an embodiment includes a plurality of secure elements and a communicator. The communicator performs communication with a reader/writer device to which an external device is connected using non-contact communication. The communicator changes a transmission destination to a secure element corresponding to a transmission destination identifier for identifying the transmission destination among the plurality of secure elements on the basis of the transmission destination identifier and change-instruction-information giving instructions to change the transmission destination, assigned to telegraph data received from the reader/writer device using the non-contact communication and transmits the telegraph data received from the reader/writer device to the secure element.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR DIMENSIONING ITEMS
A method of generating dimensioning assist information for an item includes: obtaining data associated with a physical size of a graphical dimensioning aid associated with the item; generating dimensioning assist information by encoding the data into a machine-readable data object carried by the item. A method of dimensioning an item includes, at a dimensioning system: capturing an image of the item and the graphical dimensioning aid carried by the item; detecting an edge of the item within the captured image; determining a measurement of the edge; detecting the graphical dimensioning aid within the captured image; determining a measurement of the graphical dimensioning aid; decoding a physical size of the graphical dimensioning aid from a machine-readable data object carried by the item; and dimensioning the edge based on the measurement of the edge, the measurement of the graphical dimensioning aid, and the physical size.
System, method, and apparatus for a dynamic transaction card
A dynamic transaction card and methods for providing improved security during transactions are described. The dynamic transaction card can attempt to connect wirelessly to a mobile device. The dynamic transaction card can then send a transaction request to a backend system, including whether the connection to the mobile device was successful. The backend system can then calculate a fraud score based on the connection response, among other things. The backend system may approve or deny the transaction request from the dynamic transaction card based on the fraud score.
Dynamic transaction card protected by gesture and voice recognition
A dynamic transaction card that includes a number of layers, each of which may be interconnected to one another, is disclosed. The dynamic transaction card may include an outer layer, a potting layer, a sensor layer, a display layer (including, for example, LEDs, a dot matrix display, and the like), a microcontroller storing firmware, Java applets, Java applet integration, and the like, an EMV chip, an energy storage component, one or more antennas (e.g., Bluetooth antenna, NFC antenna, and the like), a power management component, a flexible printed circuit board (PCB), a chassis, and/or a card backing layer. The dynamic transaction card may be activated by authenticating the card user through user authentication input recognition, which may be gesture and/or voice recognition processing.
CONFIGURING A SET OF APPLETS ON A BATTERY-LESS TRANSACTION CARD
A transaction card may power on the transaction card using electric current induced from an interaction of the transaction card with an electromagnetic field. The transaction card may establish a communication with a device. The communication may indicate that the transaction card has powered. The transaction card may receive, from the device, a set of instructions to configure a set of applets on the transaction card after notifying the device that the transaction card has powered on. The set of applets to be configured may be related to completing one or more different transactions. The set of applets to be configured may be different than another set of applets already configured on the transaction card. The transaction card may configure the set of applets on the transaction card according to the set of instructions after receiving the set of instructions.

DYNAMIC TRANSACTION CARD PROTECTED BY GESTURE AND VOICE RECOGNITION
