SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AND APPLYING QR CODE FOR PERSISTENT ACCESS TO PRODUCT INFORMATION
A new approach is proposed to support quick response (QR) code generation and application for persistent access to product information. First, a QR code is generated for a commercially available non-perishable product, wherein the QR code includes a set of information of the product including one or more of a unique identification or ID of the product, description of the product, instructions for using the product, and a link to a website describing the product. The generated QR code is then printed or otherwise embedded on a surface of the non-perishable product. When a user who has acquired the product scans the QR code on the product via an electronic scanning device, the electronic scanning device retrieves the set of information of the product from the scanned QR code and presents the set of information of the product to the user for review and/or further actions.
MACHINE-READABLE IMAGE ENCODING DATA
There is provided a non-transitory computer readable storage medium tangibly embodying a machine-readable image having data encoded therein and embedded with a graphic, the machine-readable image adapted to be detected by a reader for decoding said encoded data, including: the graphic associated with an image descriptor calculated based on a chosen area of the graphic, the image descriptor being used in a reading process of said machine-readable image; a plurality of function patterns; and a plurality of dot modules having decoded values corresponding to at least said encoded data, the dot modules being positioned in one or more encoding regions of the machine-readable image relative to the function patterns and the chosen area of the graphic.
BARCODE EVALUATION DEVICE, BARCODE IMAGE GENERATION SYSTEM, BARCODE EVALUATION METHOD, BARCODE IMAGE GENERATION METHOD AND BARCODE EVALUATION PROGRAM
A barcode evaluation device is configured to conduct an evaluation, which involves determining whether or not a barcode image is displayable on an image display device and determining whether or not the barcode image is readable with a barcode reading device. The evaluation is conducted based on specifics of the barcode image, specifications of the image display device, and specifications of the barcode reading device without actually displaying and reading the barcode image.
System for identifying parts formed in an additive manufacturing build
A system and method for identifying test bars formed during a selective laser sintering build. A part cake is formed during a selective laser sintering build. The part cake comprises parts formed from a powder by selective laser sintering and unsintered powder around the formed parts. The parts include test bars for performing material testing. Each test bar includes a plurality of indentations in a first grip section and a second grip section. The plurality of indentations are arranged in a information providing pattern that is adapted to be readable after the test part is removed from the part cake.
Two dimensional barcode with dynamic environmental data system, method, and apparatus
Methods, systems, and apparatus for combining preprinted information together with coded sensor information within a two-dimensional barcode. The sensor information may be of an environmental, physical or biological nature, and records a cumulative change in status of the environmental or biological condition to which the labeled product has been exposed. A sensor dye chemistry is employed that undergoes a continuous chemical or physical state change in response to the occurrence of the environmental condition. The continuous change is between an initial state and an end state causing a change in the color state of the sensor dye embedded within the sensor-augmented two-dimensional barcode, encoding sensor digital information. Sensor information is recovered utilizing the error-correction feature during barcode decoding.
Multi-dimensional optical code with static data and dynamic lookup data optical element sets
An article includes a substrate having a physical surface, a multi-dimensional machine-readable code embodied on the physical surface, wherein the multi-dimensional machine-readable optical code includes a static data (SD) optical element set and a dynamic lookup data (DLD) optical element set. Each of the SD and the DLD sets are embodied on the physical surface. The DLD optical element set encodes a look-up value that references dynamically changeable data, wherein the SD optical element set encodes static data that does not reference other data. The DLD optical element set is not decodable at the distance greater than the threshold distance.
Support and capsule for preparing a beverage by centrifugation, system and method for preparing a beverage by centrifugation
A code support for association with or part of a capsule used in delivering a beverage in a beverage producing device by centrifugation of the capsule is disclosed. A capsule that includes the code support, as well as a system to read and process the code support, are also disclosed. Further disclosed is a method of reading and processing the code support.
Machine-readable label generator
Software tools disclosed herein may allow a user to enter design choices that alter an aesthetic appearance of a machine-readable label such that modules included in the label deviate from a standardized definition for the modules. Such alterations may include changes in size, color and orientation of modules. The alterations may allow a user to create machine-readable labels having unique aesthetic appearances. A software engine may ensure that, despite the aesthetic design choices entered by a user, the generated machine-readable label is reliably scannable.
OBJECT MARKING, PRODUCTION AND AUTHENTICATION METHOD
An object marking including a first security element and at least a second security element, wherein each security element is associated with a set of data segments and each security element exhibits depending on the capturing conditions, in particular the viewing angle and/or the direction of illumination, a code segment which is an optoelectronically readable representation of one of the data segments of the set associated with the respective security element, wherein different distinct data segments are represented by different code segments and that the set associated with the first security element and the set associated with the second security element differ in at least one data segment; method for producing and method for authenticating the same.
Read curved visual marks
According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a non-transitory computer readable medium on which is stored instructions that may cause the processor to create a 2D reference mesh for an image of a curved visual mark, establish correspondences between finder pattern points in the curved visual mark and points of the 2D reference mesh, and determine a curved 3D mesh having a radius that results in a minimal reprojection error of a projective transform estimated for correspondences between the 2D reference mesh and the curved 3D mesh while the radius remains below a predefined upper limit. The instructions may also cause the processor to sample components of the curved visual mark in elements of the determined curved 3D mesh to form a 2D planar image of the curved visual mark and analyze the 2D planar image of the curved visual mark to read the curved visual mark.
