System And Method For Quality Management Utilizing Barcode Indicators
A quality management system for products including a multiplicity of barcoded quality indicators, a barcode indicator reader and a product type responsive indication interpreter, each of the barcoded quality indicators including a first barcode including at least one first colorable area, the first barcode being machine-readable before exceedance of the at least one time and temperature threshold, at least a second barcode including at least one second colorable area, the second barcode not being machine-readable before exceedance of the at least one time and temperature threshold, a coloring agent located at a first location on the indicator and a coloring agent pathway operative to allow the coloring agent to move, from the first location to the first and second colorable areas simultaneously thereby causing the first barcode to become unreadable and at the same time causing the second barcode to become machine-readable.
Temperature validation slide
This disclosure describes an enhanced temperature validation slide comprising a substrate and a removable label attached to the substrate with an adhesive. In some implementations, the label comprises at least two threshold temperature indicators, a transparent liquid impermeable barrier layer, a designated area for user generated information, an area for displayed information (i.e. a lot number), an area for displayed text or graphics linked to information stored online (i.e. a QR code), and a thermo-chromic visual indicator area. The various implementations of this disclosure may describe a validation slide utilizing any number of the features described above in any combination.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT UTILIZING BARCODE INDICATORS
A quality management system for products including a multiplicity of barcoded quality indicators each operative to provide a machine-readable indication of exceedance of at least one threshold by at least one product quality affecting parameter, a barcode indicator reader operative to read the barcoded quality indicators and to provide output indications, the barcoded quality indicators being readable by the barcode indicator reader at all times after first becoming readable, including times prior to, during and immediately following exceedance of the at least one threshold by the at least one product quality affecting parameter, and a product type responsive indication interpreter operative to receive the output indications and to provide human sensible, product quality status outputs.
Barcoded indicators for quality management
A barcoded indicator operative to provide a machine-readable indication of exceedance of at least one threshold by at least one product quality affecting parameter, the barcoded indicator including a first barcode including a first plurality of barcode bars and at least a first colorable area, at least a second barcode including a second plurality of barcode bars and at least a second colorable area, and at least one interposed line extending between the first barcode and the second barcode, the interposed line being capable of preventing a barcode reader from reading parts of the first barcode and of the second barcode as part of a single barcode.
TAMPER-PROOF QUALITY MANAGEMENT BARCODE INDICATORS
A tamper-proof barcoded quality indicator operative to provide a machine-readable indication of exceedance of time and temperature thresholds following actuation thereof, including a first barcode including a first colorable area and being machine-readable before exceedance of the time and temperature thresholds, a second barcode including a second colorable area and not being machine-readable before exceedance of the time and temperature thresholds, a coloring agent located at a first location on the indicator, a coloring agent pathway operative to allow the coloring agent to move, at a rate which is at least partially a function of time, from the first location to the first and second colorable areas simultaneously for simultaneous coloring thereof upon exceedance of the time and temperature thresholds, thereby causing the first barcode to become unreadable and at the same time causing the second barcode to become machine-readable, and a tamper-proof actuator element operative to actuate the indicator.
TAPE DATA PROTECTION BY CLIMATE LABEL VERIFICATION
A tape cartridge for a magnetic tape may be provided. The tape cartridge includes a magnetic tape surrounded by a housing and a temperature indicator that signals a temperature of the tape cartridge, for example, by a thermochromic label. Additionally, a system for tape cartridge data protection that interoperates with the tape cartridge is provided. The system includes a storage for holding a tape cartridge, a sensor that detects temperature information from the temperature indicator of the tape cartridge, and a control unit for controlling an actuator that performs an action depending on the detected temperature information. Furthermore, a method for operating the system for tape cartridge data protection is proposed.
WRITING INFORMATION ON SUBSTRATE DISPLAYS
The present disclosure describes writing information on substrate displays. In an example, a display on a substrate is interfaced. The interfacing includes constraining a first longitudinal side of the substrate via a first actuable slot. Further, a second longitudinal side of the substrate opposite to the first longitudinal side is constrained via a second actuable slot. Thereby the substrate is constrained between the first and second slot with the display positioned therebetween. Further, the display is operated to write information thereon via an imager while the substrate is constrained between the first and second slot.
Thermal tags for real-time activity monitoring and methods for detecting the same
A thermal tag includes a power source to generate current along a resistive path and a plurality of infrared-emitting features positioned along the resistive path to emit infrared light along an infrared-emitting pattern, wherein the plurality of infrared-emitting features include one or more infrared-emitting stripes on a first surface of the thermal tag defining a pattern region and a plurality of infrared-emitting dots within a portion of the pattern region to provide a thermal-diffusion resistant pattern for activity monitoring.
