Data representing a wear indicator
In some examples, a system generates three-dimensional (3D) object data for printing by a 3D printing system, the generating including determining a region in which to generate a wear indicator, and computing an arrangement of spatial shells of variable thickness in the region, where the spatial shells contain data representing at least one property of the wear indicator.
METHOD FOR ASSOCIATING A MARKING WITH AN OBJECT
Disclosed is a method for associating a marking with an object, including the following steps:—identifying the position of at least two different elements of the marking in relation to the marking and/or the object; and—measuring a relative distance between at least two identified elements; then—recording in a database the position of at least two identified elements, and the relative distance between the identified elements so that the position of two identified elements is correlated with the measurement relating to their distance.
BEARING COMPONENT, BEARING, MACHINE, VEHICLE, INDIVIDUAL IDENTIFICATION METHOD FOR BEARING COMPONENT, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR BEARING, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR MACHINE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR VEHICLE
A bearing component is an annular member with a two-dimensional code which has a shape with a maximum circumferential dimension longer than a maximum radial dimension or a maximum axial dimension. An individual identification method for the bearing component includes the steps of imaging while rotating the bearing component, detecting a line pattern of the two-dimensional code from a captured image, recognizing the two-dimensional code based on an extension direction of the line pattern, extracting corresponding registration information by referring to a database based on information of the two-dimensional code, and identifying the bearing component according to the extracted registration information.
METHOD FOR ENCODING A PACKAGING CONTAINER, AND ENCODED PACKAGING CONTAINER FOR CONSUMER GOODS
The invention relates to a method for encoding a dimensionally stable packaging container or an associated constituent made of plastics material, wherein the packaging container is suitable for storing consumer goods such as food, detergents, etc., wherein a film-shaped, flat plastics material for forming the three-dimensional packaging container or the associated constituent is deep-drawn using a tool mold while, at a plurality of positions, the outer sides or the inner sides thereof undergo a first shape-changing treatment acting on the first surface thereof for producing a plurality of three-dimensional codes.
Methods and apparatus for encoding data in notched shapes
A notched 2D shape may encode information. For instance, a physical tag may display, form or include a polygon that is modified by notches and by one or more holes. This notched 2D shape may encode data that identifies, or provides information regarding, a physical product to which the tag is physically attached. Alternatively, this notched 2D shape may encode any other type of information, such as information about what we sometimes call a product shape or shape matrix. The notched shape may be an octagon that is modified by notches and by one or more holes.
PRINTED WIRING BOARD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A printed wiring board includes a lower layer including conductor layers and insulating layers, a conductor layer formed on the outermost insulating layer in the lower layer, and a solder resist layer formed on the conductor layer such that the solder resist layer is covering the conductor layer on the outermost insulating layer, and a two-dimensional code structure formed on the lower layer and including the conductor layer and a portion of the solder resist layer such that the portion of the solder resist layer has openings forming exposed portions of the conductor layer and that the openings of the solder resist layer and the exposed portions of the conductor layer form the two-dimensional code structure. The conductor layer includes a portion corresponding to the two-dimensional code structure such that the portion of the conductor layer has a residual copper rate that allows the two-dimensional code structure to be read.
LASER-MARKED MEDICAL COMPONENTS FROM ELASTOMERS
A medical device component is provided. The medical device component may include a body having a first surface being at least partially formed from a markable material having a first color, the markable material having a characteristic that an area exposed to laser irradiation of a predetermined wavelength of ultraviolet light changes to a second color different from the first color; a film covering at least a portion of the first surface of the body, the film having a transmittance at the predetermined wavelength of ultraviolet light of at least 5%; and a visible mark on the markable material at the first surface of the body covered by the film. The visible mark may include one or more areas of the markable material at the first surface having the second color. Methods of manufacturing the medical device component are also provided.
3D printed identification labels
The present disclosure relates to identification labels (105). Described herein are designs for 3D identification labels on objects (100), and methods and systems for designing and manufacturing such objects (100) with 3D identification labels (105).
REFILLABLE PET BOTTLE CODIFICATION FOR CONTAINER LIFECYCLE TRACEABILITY
A polymeric container including a code unique to the container that identifies the container. The code is on an inner surface of the container or on an outer surface of the container.
LABEL DESIGN FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
The present disclosure relates to design and manufacture of 3D identification labels manufactured by agent-assisted fusion (AAF) techniques. Methods disclosed herein optimize the contrast between raised or engraved surfaces on a 3D identification label and minimize the effects of the dark-colored fusing agents used in AAF. Methods are disclosed for designing labels based on a configuration of light source and label detector.
