The data processing apparatus may be configured to perform a method of determining authentication data for authenticating an object comprising one or more identification elements which are detectable when electromagnetic radiation is incident thereon. The method may comprise obtaining image data relating to one or more of the identification element(s) of the object, processing the image data to determine outline data relating to outline(s) of one or more of the identification element(s) to which the image data relates and determining the authentication data from the outline data.
Anti-counterfeiting mark with 3-D features
Disclosed herein is an authenticating mark formed on the surface of a product or package. The said mark comprising: at least an overt portion of visible 3D random image in the form of physically unclonable function (PUF) characterized in that the said PUF is random cracks or colors. Additionally, phosphor particles might be added to this pattern as covert features. It further disclose a system and method for identifying genuine or counterfeited products by analyzing the image of a 3D-PUF and its encrypted image using a commonly held scanning device.
Method and system for determining whether a barcode is genuine using a gray level co-occurrence matrix
An anti-counterfeiting method involves dividing a barcode image into a plurality of modules; extracting a respective inertia of a gray level co-occurrence matrix for each of the plurality of modules; acquiring an image of a printed candidate bar code; generating a sorted list (using extracted intertias) for the plurality of modules of the image of the printed candidate barcode; in a first range of magnitudes, comparing the sorted list for the image of the printed genuine barcode with an equivalent sorted list for the image of the printed candidate barcode; and in a second range of magnitudes, comparing the sorted list for the image of the printed genuine barcode with the sorted list for the image of the printed candidate barcode, wherein the second range is different from the first range.
Tracking Method for Containers Having Removable Closures
A method of tracking a container closure used to seal liquid in a container is provided, comprising applying a trackable indicia to a container closure, wherein the trackable indicia is unique to the container closure; recording an associated data set comprising a plurality of parameters related to the liquid in the container; correlating the associated data set with the trackable indicia; applying the container closure to the container to seal the liquid within the container; maintaining a database of the trackable indicia corresponding to the associated data set; and scanning the trackable indicia to retrieve the associated data set from the database. The method of the invention also includes utilization of a container closure having inherent natural imperfections and/or patterns on the top and/or sides of the closure and obtaining scanned images and data thereof which are analyzed and utilized for closure and container identification and likewise serve as scannable trackable indicia.
Identity determination apparatus and identity determination system
An identity determination apparatus includes a first storage unit that stores registration apparatus information used in a case where reference data obtained by imaging a portion of a surface of an object to be determined is registered, material information regarding the object which is a target for identity determination, collation apparatus information used in a case where collation data is acquired, and collation reference information used in collation in association with each other, a second storage unit that stores the registration apparatus information and the material information in association with reference data acquired in advance, a reception unit that receives collation data acquired from the object to be determined in a case where a determination process is performed, the material information, and the collation apparatus information, and a determination unit that reads out the collation reference information corresponding to the material information and the collation apparatus information which are received by the reception unit and the registration apparatus information to be specified by the collation apparatus information from the first storage unit, reads out the reference data corresponding to the registration apparatus information to be specified by the collation apparatus information, and the material information from the second storage unit, and collates the collation data received by the reception unit and the reference data read out from the second storage unit with each other using the read-out collation reference information to determine identity of the object to be determined.
Hand-Tearing Texture Anti-fake Method and Product and Material Thereof
The present invention provides a hand-tearing texture anti-fake method and a product and a material thereof Fancy yarn is embedded in a printed matter and a printing material, and the fancy yarn and personalized elements thereof are flattened and shaped into a flat texture string; and the personalized feature information of the flat texture string is collected and stored in an anti-fake check system database as a texture information file. The present invention overcomes the disadvantages of needle-picking fibers (texture) and achieves the purpose of checking the texture by hand, facilitates the public to discriminate true textures from false ones by hand, avoids the trouble of anti-fake application of needle-picking texture, simplifies the production of texture paper, and avoids the contamination of the workshop environment of ordinary white paper by residual fibers.
IMPRINT DEVICE FOR IMPRINTING A SURFACE OF AN OBJECT TO CREATE AN IDENTIFICATION MARK
The present invention is an imprint device for imprinting a unique identification mark on a surface of an object with imprinting particles of different sizes that increase uniqueness and without the need for electric power. The imprint device includes a vertical member, a hammer member, a trigger assembly, a charging unit, a barrel and at least one pocket. In the operative configuration, a trigger of trigger assembly is activated such that hammer member impacts a cartridge filled with at least one munition of imprinting particles and releases imprinting particles. The imprinting particles travel through the barrel where acceleration is increased and impact on surface is made to form microcraters and unique identification marks. The imprinting particles can be of same size, material and shape or they can be of different sizes, material and shapes or the combination thereof for increasing uniqueness.
MAGNETIC PHYSICAL UNCLONABLE FUNCTION WITH MULTIPLE MAGNETIC COERCIVITIES
The use of two different magnetic coercivity materials in order to have both permanent and non-permanent content on the same security object is described. A security device is presented having a polymer matrix composite containing a uniform distribution of a low coercivity magnetic material such as, but not limited to, magnetite. In conjunction with this uniform background a random distribution of high coercivity magnetic material such as but not limited to an alloy of neodymium, iron, and boron (NdFeB) can be mixed within the first uniform background material to form a durable magnetic signature within the low coercivity uniform background. This can be achieved, for example, by compounding low and high coercivity materials in one compounding operation with one matrix material.
DENDRITIC STRUCTURES AND TAGS
The disclosure features dendritic tags, and methods and systems for fabricating and using such tags. The methods can include obtaining at least one image of a dendritic tag attached to an article, analyzing the at least one image to identify a set of features associated with the dendritic tag, and comparing the set of features to stored information to identify the article.
Anti-counterfeit method
An anti-counterfeit method includes: obtaining raw data to be encoded; collecting fingerprint data by analogue acquisition to obtain initial fingerprint feature information and encrypting the initial fingerprint feature information to obtain a random feature secret key, the random feature secret key comprising a first sub secret key and a second sub secret key and the first sub secret key is encoded into a micro-texture image while the second sub secret key is embedded in an encryption program; encrypting, through the random feature secret key, the raw data to be encoded to generate an information code image, the information code image comprising the micro-texture image; passing an anti-counterfeit authentication when an image sensor succeeds in integrating the first sub secret key and the second sub secret key to generate the random feature secret key; and succeeding in decrypting, by the image sensor, the information code image through the random feature secret key.
