BED HANDLE SUPPORT SYSTEM
A mobility assistance device including a base section and an upright section. The base section is configured to be disposed under a cushion-type portion of a piece of furniture. The base section includes a first base component and a second base component, each of the first and second base components including a first portion defining a base plane and a second portion extending generally upright in a plane perpendicular to the base plane. The upright section includes an arched component configured to couple the second portions of the two base components, and a height-adjustable handle coupled to the arched component.
Mobility assistance devices and related methods
Extendable mobility assistance devices for use with a bed are disclosed herein. The mobility assistance devices include base legs that are inserted between a mattress and a box spring and a support rail that extends upward from the base legs. The support rail has an adjustable longitudinal dimension. The support rail and base legs are configured to be reversibly arranged in a first orientation or a second orientation, for use on either side of a bed.
Hide away bed rail
A bed rail having an operating position at one of the sides of a bed and a stored position between a mattress and box spring of the bed. To take down the bed rail, a guard frame portion is disengaged from a base frame portion, then the guard frame portion is pivoted and slid into the base frame portion. To set up the bed rail, the guard frame portion can be slid out of the base frame portion, pivoted relative to the base frame portion, then engaged to the base frame portion and into the operating position at a side of the bed.
Hide away bed rail
A bed rail having an operating position at one of the sides of a bed and a stored position between a mattress and box spring of the bed. To take down the bed rail, a guard frame portion is disengaged from a base frame portion, then the guard frame portion is pivoted and slid into the base frame portion. To set up the bed rail, the guard frame portion can be slid out of the base frame portion, pivoted relative to the base frame portion, then engaged to the base frame portion and into the operating position at a side of the bed.
PATIENT SUPPORT USABLE WITH BARIATRIC PATIENTS
There is provided a patient support that may be adjustable in height, width, length or a combination thereof. The patient support may be useable with normal sized patients or with bariatric patients. The patient support has a variety of features to enhance operability and/or functionality, including a width adjustable caster frame, width adjustable deck portions, a width adjustable headboard and an extendible foot board to provide extra length. An enhanced lift mechanism can accommodate bariatric patients and alternative functionality in achieving deck positions improves patient comfort. Various parts of the patient support including deck panels and the footboard may be removed and replaced with ease without complicated connectors.
PATIENT TRANSFER DEVICE
A patient transfer device and an associated method of transferring a patient using the device are described. The device, which can be used anytime a patient needs to be moved or transferred out of bed especially in those circumstances wherein the patient is in any way incapacitated and is unable to move or assist in the transfer, transfers the patient laterally from a longitudinal side of the bed onto the device. The transfer can be accomplished with minimal medical staff interaction and as such significantly and substantially reducing the risk or injury and harm not only for the patient but also the staff.

PERSON SUPPORT APPARATUS BARRIER
A person support apparatus includes a base, a controller, and a barrier having at least one electrical device. The base includes mounting structures for releasably mounting the barrier to the base. A first electrical connector is in communication with the at least one electrical device and mounted to the barrier. A second electrical connector is in communication with the controller and mounted at one of the mounting structures for connection with the first electrical connector when the barrier is mounted to the base at the mounting structures.
Bed restraining apparatus and method of use thereof
Bed restraining apparatus is provided including at least one bed rail protective portion for at least partly covering a surface of a bed rail in use, and at least one bed restraining portion for location over at least part of a bed in use, so as to be located between opposing sides of a bed in use and/or so as to be located between bed rails on opposing sides of a bed in use. Thee at least one bed rail protective portion is arranged so as to at least partly cover an inwardly facing side wall or side wall frame member of the bed rail in use.
