11556905 · 2023-01-17 · ·

A technique for remote access via a computing device is discussed. In one embodiment, a computing device receives data indicative of a card number associated with a bank-issued debit card. The debit card is associated with a bank account at a bank that issued the bank-issued debit card. The computing device also receives data indicative of an amount of cash to be deposited into the account based on an amount of cash provided at the computing device location. Encrypted data indicative of the card number and the data indicative of the amount of cash is routed to a gateway vendor server and is further routed to a payment network server for deposit of an amount corresponding to the data indicative of the amount of cash into the bank account associated with the card number.

AUTHENTICATING A CUSTOMER TO A RISK LEVEL USING AN AUTHORIZATION TOKEN

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for authenticating a mobile user via an authentication method determined based on a token level associated with the action being completed. An authentication token is created corresponding to the token level and the authentication token is sent to the mobile device. This authentication token may be used to authenticate subsequent actions and engage various services to complete the actions using application programming interfaces. The authentication token stored on the mobile device obviates the need for a user to authenticate multiple times to complete actions requiring a similar token level. The system may authenticate the identity of the mobile user using various authentication methods.

MONEY HANDLING SYSTEM AND MONEY HANDLING METHOD

In order to appropriately replenish a money handling apparatus with money, a money handling system includes a first money handling apparatus to perform a plurality of kinds of dispensing transactions in which different fitness-types of fit money are dispensed; a management server including processing circuitry configured to determine, when the first money handling apparatus needs to be replenished with money, a breakdown of the money for replenishment, based on information on the dispensing transactions performed by the first money handling apparatus, wherein the breakdown indicates a quantity of each fitness-type of fit money to be included in the money for replenishment; and a second money handling apparatus to dispense the money for replenishment based on the breakdown of the money determined by the processing circuitry. The first money handling apparatus is replenished with the money for replenishment dispensed from the second money handling apparatus.

Contactless ATM transactions

Systems and methods for contactless transactions are described. A method includes transmitting, by a mobile device having a provider institution mobile application, a first data payload to a user-interactive device via a first short-range wireless communication, and launching the provider institution mobile application on the mobile device based on the first short-range wireless communication. The method further includes transmitting authentication information to the user-interactive device via a second short-range wireless communication, receiving a request for transaction information from the user-interactive device via the second short-range wireless communication, and transmitting transaction information to the user-interactive device via a third short-range wireless communication as part of the transaction.

An option is set on a payment card of a card issuer. A request for payment for a transaction is received by a payment server of the card issuer from a merchant device/server. The payment server requests and receives a one-time token based on the option. An authorization indicating payment was successful is sent from the payment server to the merchant device/server with a flag set, the token, and a network address. Merchant device/server identifies the flag obtains the token and sends an e-receipt for the transaction along with the token to the network address. The e-receipt accessible from the network address by a consumer associated with the transaction. Furthermore, the e-receipt is obtained by the consumer without registering personal information or contact information with the merchant, which preserves the anonymity of the consumer with respect to the merchant.

SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING GOODS AND SERVICES BASED ON ACCRUED BUT UNPAID EARNINGS

A system for interfacing predetermined services to a user at a fixed location includes a processing platform running an operating system. The system further includes a data store for storing configuration information for enabling the operating system to interface with available physical system resources through the physical system resource interface associated therewith. A communication resource for interfacing with the operating system allows communication of the operating system with a central office for downloading configuration information to selectively enable ones of the available physical system resources to interface with the operating system through associated ones of the physical system resource interfaces in accordance with the configuration information and the predetermined service selected by a user. A plurality of configurations is stored in the data store, and each is associated with a predetermined service and one or more of the available physical system resources.

Systems and methods for electronic fund transfers for use with gaming systems

Electronic fund transfer (EFT) systems and methods are disclosed for managing and transferring electronic funds from a patron's financial account to provide credit in physical form. The systems comprise an electronic fund transfer (EFT) terminal, at least one credit system, and a gateway in communication with the EFT terminal, the at least one credit system, and a financial network. The EFT terminal is configured to communicate with the patron's financial account via the gateway and the financial network to electronically transfer funds at the patron's request.

Modular automated transaction machine

An automated transaction machine can include a user-interface device, a computing device, a battery, a head portion, a first socket-half, a first electrical rail, and a relay. The a user-interface device can be configured to receive an input from a user and transmit the input. The computing device can receive the input. The battery can selectively direct electric power to the user-interface device and the computing device, which can all be housed in the head portion. The first socket-half can be exposed on an outside surface of the head portion and direct power to the user-interface device, the computing device, and the battery. The relay can be arranged to connect the battery and the first electrical rail in a first configuration and be switched between the first configuration and the second configuration by an output signal of the first socket-half.

MACHINE LEARNING BASED DETECTION OF FRAUDULENT ACQUIRER TRANSACTIONS

Examples described herein relate to apparatuses and methods of detecting fraudulent activity at an automated teller machine (ATM) using a machine learning model. A method includes receiving ATM activity data indicative of one or more withdrawal transactions at one or more ATMs using a transaction card, receiving transaction data and ATM data, ingesting the transaction data and the ATM data, analyzing the ingested transaction data and the ingested ATM data using a machine learning model, determining that the ingested transaction data and the ingested ATM data indicate fraudulent activity using the machine learning model, and performing one or more remedial actions based on the determination of fraudulent activity using the machine learning model.
