Settlement system, server device, terminal device, method and program
A terminal device includes selection means for comparing a payment amount with a set amount read from a recording medium and for selecting between off-line processing and on-line processing, depending on a result of the comparison, off-line processing means for subtracting the payment amount from the set amount recorded in the recording medium and sending the payment amount to a server device; and on-line processing means for sending the payment amount to the server device and updating the set amount when having received an update value. A server device includes server processing means for receiving the payment amount from a terminal device and subtracting the payment amount from a balance of an account corresponding to the recording medium, and in a case of the on-line processing, sending the update value to the terminal device.
PORTABLE DEVICE LOADING MECHANISM FOR ACCOUNT ACCESS
Described herein are a system and techniques for updating balance information for a disbursement module on a portable device using a transaction module on that same portable device. In some embodiments, each of the transaction module and the disbursement module may be associated with a different transaction processing system. A client device may be used to interact with the transaction module of the portable device via a communication element. In some embodiments, the client device may be configured to receive an account identifier from the transaction module, generate and transmit an authorization request message to an authorization entity, and upon receiving authorization from the authorization entity, cause the transaction module on the portable device to update a balance associated with the disbursement module.
E-wallet transfer payment method and system based on PKI smart card
An E-wallet transfer payment method includes: connecting a first PKI smart card to a second PKI smart card wirelessly; the first PKI smart card receiving a transfer instruction input by a first user, wherein the transfer instruction comprises a transfer amount to be transferred to a payee account; the second PKI smart card sending the payee account information to the first PKI smart card; the first PKI smart card generating transaction information according to the transfer instruction, and displaying the transaction information; the first PKI smart card receiving a confirmation instruction input by the first user according to the displayed transaction information; the first PKI smart card deducting a corresponding amount in a payment account according to the transfer amount, generating a signature information and sending the signature information to the second PKI smart card; adding the corresponding amount to the payee account according to the signature information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A CRYPTOCURRENCY TRANSACTION USING A SMART TRANSACTION CARD
In a method for conducting a transaction using a transaction card, communication between the card's data processor and a transaction terminal is established and the data processor receives from the terminal first transaction information for a financial transaction, the information including a transaction type and a monetary value. The data processor transmits to a user device a cryptocurrency transaction processing request including identification of an amount of cryptocurrency stored in the card's memory that has a value equal to the transaction monetary value. At least a portion of the request is encrypted using private and public encryption keys. The request is configured for retransmission by the user device to a cryptocurrency exchange processor. The card's data processor transmits to the transaction terminal second transaction information usable by the transaction terminal to complete the transaction and updates a cryptocurrency balance stored in the card's memory.
MOBILE WALLETS FOR PROGRAMMING AND MANAGING SMART CARDS
Methods and systems for programming a smart card having a programmable chip with no value using a mobile wallet associated with a mobile device are disclosed. The methods and systems can receive issuer data identifying an issuer for the smart card and receive an amount to load on the card. A selection of a wallet element from the mobile wallet as a payment source for the amount can be received and a transaction request can be submitted for the issuer using the selected wallet element and the amount. After submitting the transaction request and receiving an issuer authorization, data regarding the amount can be written on the programmable chip of the smart card.
DIGITAL ASSET EXCHANGE SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
The present invention provides a system as a computer server platform and application programming software installed in primary devices of users for exchanging and trading digital asset securely and anonymously between two users of the system where said digital asset is registered under a device account of a primary device of a user with the system using a unique device account name. The present invention respects “privacy by design” in GDPR by using device account based-on anonymized data instead of personal account based-on personal data of prior art to ensure the system does not collect, store and process users' personal data in the course of device accounts' set-up and transactions of digital assets.
STORED-VALUE CARD-TO-CARD DIRECT COMMUNICATION
A method for performing a card-to-card direct contactless transaction between a first active stored-value smart card (“SVSC”) and a second active SVSC, each comprising an active near-field communication (“NFC”) reader. The method may include activating the first active SVSC by receiving input of a personal identification number (“PIN”) on a keypad located on the first active SVSC, verifying the PIN and further receiving input of a transaction amount on the keypad. The method may further include initiating a wireless NFC communication to perform the transaction by positioning the first active SVSC within a pre-determined distance to the second active SVSC and confirming accuracy of each of the first and second active SVSC using the active NFC reader to retrieve card ID data and confirm accuracy. Following confirming, the method may include directly completing the transaction between the first active SVSC and the second active SVSC.
USER-INTERACTIVE DIGITAL SIGNAGE APPARATUS THAT DISPLAYS CONTENTS ASSOCIATED WITH PREPAID CARD
A user-interactive digital signage apparatus includes a signage housing, a touch panel display, a card reader, and a controller. The card reader is configured to read card information from a prepaid card presented by a user at the retail space. The controller is configured to obtain map image data for a map image of the retail space using the card information, the map image data including information on one or more affiliated stores that are affiliated with the prepaid card among a plurality of stores in the retail space. The controller is configured to control the touch panel display to display a user-interactive retail space map including one or more map elements corresponding to at least a part of the one or more affiliated stores, in an emphasized display manner with respect to one or more map elements corresponding to one or more non-affiliated stores in the retail space.
LOW-LATENCY APPROXIMATION OF COMBINATORIAL OPTIMIZATION OF RESIDUAL AMOUNTS WHEN ALLOCATING LARGE COLLECTIONS OF STORED VALUE CARDS
Provided is a process including: obtaining a repository of stored value card records; receiving a request for a stored value card from a remote client computing device; inferring based on the request, a transaction balance of a transaction in which the requested stored value card is to be used; inferring based on the request, a merchant to participate in the transaction; identifying a subset of the stored value card records in response; selecting one or more stored value cards from among the identified subset based on a comparison between the inferred transaction balance and the value remaining on the selected one or more stored value cards; and sending balance-access information by which the selected one or more stored value card balance or balances can be spent at a point of sale terminal.
APPLICATION PROGRAM INTERFACE FOR CONVERSION OF STORED VALUE CARDS
A service uses a system of servers and specialized interfaces to facilitate transfer of value from a gift card to an open loop card of a user. The service may support user-facing interfaces that interact with customers. The service may also support an API-based interface with a gift card processor to obtain gift card value, effect the value transfer, and confirm that the gift card value has been depleted. The service may also include a programmatic interface to various transaction processor services such as associating the transferred value with a personal account number of the user, a merchant associated with the original gift card, transaction monitoring, and messaging services that provide status information to the user.
