SETTLEMENT SYSTEM, SERVER DEVICE, TERMINAL DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM
A settlement system performs on-line settlement and off-line settlement by switching between them, while reducing risk to the business side and not causing a user making payment to be aware of the switching,
A terminal device includes selection means for comparing a payment amount with a set amount read from a recording medium and for selecting between off-line processing and on-line processing, depending on a result of the comparison, off-line processing means for performing a process of subtracting the payment amount from the set amount recorded in the recording medium and a process of sending the payment amount to a server device; and on-line processing means for performing a process of sending the payment amount to the server device and a process of updating the set amount when having received an update value. A server device includes server processing means for performing a process of receiving the payment amount from a terminal device and a process of subtracting the payment amount from a balance of an account corresponding to the recording medium, and for performing, in a case of the on-line processing, a process of sending the update value to the terminal device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR LOADING RELOADABLE CARDS
A computer-implemented method and a system for loading reloadable cards, the computer-implemented method including: receiving, from an automated teller machine (ATM), a loading transaction request, the loading transaction request including a reloadable card identifier associated with a reloadable card, a funding card identifier associated with a funding card, and loading amount information; executing a funding card authorisation process; executing a reloadable card crediting process; and sending loading transaction approval to the ATM.
Modulating mobile-device displays based on ambient signals to reduce the likelihood of fraud
Provided is a process of classifying ambient signals to reduce fraudulent use of information, the process including: receiving, with the mobile computing device, from a remote server, balance-access information by which a stored value card balance can be spent at a point of sale terminal; storing, with the mobile computing device, the balance-access information; sensing, with one or more sensors of a mobile computing device, ambient signals; classifying the ambient signals as indicating the user is in a retail establishment; and in response to the classification, displaying, on a display screen of the mobile computing device, the balance-access information, such that the balance-access information can be input to a point-of-sale terminal.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACCESSING LOCALLY STORED DIGITAL FUNDS
A method for processing an offline transaction using local digital currency includes: receiving, by a receiving device of a payment instrument, a funding notification, the notification including a currency limit and associated transaction data; storing, in a memory of a payment instrument, the currency limit and associated transaction data; receiving, by the receiving device of the payment instrument, a transaction request for a payment transaction from a point of sale device, the request including at least a transaction amount; electronically transmitting, by a transmitting device of the payment instrument, a transaction response to the point of sale device, the response including an indication of approval and at least a portion of the associated transaction data; and executing, by a querying module of the payment instrument, a query on the memory of the payment instrument to update the currency limit based on the transaction amount.
Enhanced electronic gaming machine with dynamic gaze display
An electronic gaming machine where the player plays an interactive game using their player eye gaze. A graphics processor generates an interactive game environment and defines a viewing area as its subset, the viewing area having visible game components. A display device displays the viewing area having the plurality of visible game components. The display controller controls rendering of the viewing area on the display device using the graphics processor. At least one data capture camera device continuously monitors the player eye gaze to collect player eye gaze data. The game controller determines the location of the player's eye gaze relative to the viewing area and triggers a control command to the display controller. In response, the display controller controls the display device in real-time to provide a graphical animation effect displayed on the display device representative of a visual update to the visible game components in the viewing area.
Settlement system, server device, terminal device, method and program
A settlement system includes a server device and a terminal device. The terminal device is configured to compare a payment amount with a set amount stored in a recording medium; if the payment amount is equal to or less than the set amount, perform an off-line process; and if the payment amount is larger than the set amount, perform an on-line process. In the off-line process, the terminal device rewrites the set amount stored in the recording medium by subtracting the payment amount from the set amount; and sends the payment amount to the server device for further processing. In the on-line process, the terminal device sends the payment amount to the server device; determines whether an update value is received from the server device; and when the update value is received, rewrites the set amount stored in the recording medium to be the update value.
System and method for distributing broadcast media based on a number of viewers
A system and method related thereto that includes a processor, and computer executable instructions readable by the processor and operative to provide media content for selection, provide a license for selection, wherein the license is associated with the media content, receive a selection of the media content or the license, use a sensor to determine a number of persons that are capable of perceiving the media content, and control the media content based on the number of persons that is determined to be capable of perceiving the media content, wherein controlling the media content includes any or all of the following: ceasing to play the media content, pausing the media content, playing the media content, or continuing to play the media content.
ENHANCED ELECTRONIC GAMING MACHINE WITH DYNAMIC GAZE DISPLAY
A method of operating an electronic gaming machine includes generating an interactive game environment in accordance with game data, the interactive game environment having a viewing area may include a plurality of visible game components as a subset of the interactive game environment, displaying the viewing area with the plurality of visible game components, monitoring eye gaze of a player to collect player eye gaze data, determining a location of the eye gaze of the player relative to the viewing area using the player eye gaze data, and in response to the location of the eye gaze of the player relative to the viewing area, changing a resolution of a portion of the viewing area other than a portion of the viewing area corresponding to location of the eye gaze of the player on the viewing area. Related electronic gaming machines are also disclosed.
Methods for risk management in payment-enabled mobile device
A payment-enabled mobile device receives, during a first tap of the mobile device on a proximity reader component of a point of sale (POS) terminal, first transaction context data for a current transaction, and receives during a second tap of the mobile device on the proximity reader component, second transaction context data for the current transaction. When the mobile device determines that the second tap is for the same transaction as the first tap, and that one of a customer verification method (CVM) status or a user acknowledgment status flag has been set, then it transmits a payment card account number to the POS terminal to consummate the transaction.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA FOR DYNAMICALLY GENERATED GIFT CARDS
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for dynamic gift cards are disclosed. A graphical user interface provided by which a gifting user may obtain a gift card for a receiving user. The graphical user interface may be accessible via an embedded application. The gifting user may search for a merchant to obtain a gift card for via the graphical user interface. Search services may then be queried to obtain information relating to the merchant, and the information may be presented to the gifting user for selection of a merchant. Once selected, pre-approval of the gift card may be obtained; however, issuance may be prevented until the recipient accepts the gift card. A message may be automatically generated for the gifting user to directly send to the recipient that enables the recipient to accept the gift card. A preview of the gift card may be rendered based on the queried information.
