NFC enabled card for consumer accessibility
A contactless card useful for adjusting the operation, configuration, and/or performance of a secondary device is described. The contactless card is equipped with a communication interface which allows the contactless card to transmit information to the secondary device using NFC signals. The contactless card stores accommodation information related to a physical accommodation desired by the user and transmits that information in the form of an accommodation message to the secondary device after being placed in a NFC field generated by the secondary device. In some embodiments, the contactless card requests an authentication certificate in order to determine a degree of trust prior to sending an accommodation message. In some embodiments, the contactless card may adjust what accommodation information is included in the accommodation message based on the authentication certificate received from the secondary device.
EMBEDDED ELECTRONIC PAYMENT SYSTEM AND INTEGRATED CIRCUIT
An embedded electronic payment (EEP) system allows various devices and appliances to act as a merchant to accept electronic payments. The EEP system can be formed on an integrated circuit or as a software applet to run on a virtual machine. The integrated chip can be a standard IC, an application specific integrated chip, programmable logic device, or a multiprocessor based microcontroller. The EEP system operates with a standard interface that can be adapted to many applications. As a result, the cost of payment integration is reduced. The reduced cost of inclusion allows electronic payment systems to be applied in systems and devices where cost margins previously prohibited custom electronic payment systems. When the EEP system is included as an integrated chip, the system has improved security and power consumption compared to software solutions.
System and method for customer initiated fraud management
The invention relates to a customer initiated fraud management. With an embodiment of the present invention, customers may control card utilization through a mobile application. For example, customers may restrict the utilization on their cards when they do not need to use their cards as well as allow specific types of transactions on demand (e.g., PoS, Cash, card absent environment transactions, etc.). Also, an interactive user interface provides cardholders the ability to open utilization windows in specific countries and for specific utilization types.
Verified reviews using a contactless card
Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media for verified reviews. An application may receive an indication to generate a review. An application programming interface (API) of the application may receive, from a communications interface of a contactless card, encrypted data generated by the contactless card. The API of the application may transmit, to an authentication server: the encrypted data, an indication of the application, and an identifier associated with the entity. The API of the application may receive indications specifying that the authentication server decrypted the encrypted data and determined that the contactless card was used to make a purchase with the entity. The application may permit, based on the indications received from the authentication server, generation of the review. The application may publish the review to one or more review platforms associated with the application.
Method and apparatus for version independent point of sale activation (POSA) product download
A computer implemented method and apparatus for version independent Point of Sale Activation (POSA) product download. The method comprises accessing a database, wherein the database comprises a plurality of entries associated with a plurality of Point of Sale Activation (POSA) cards available for purchase at a retail store; retrieving, from the database, a plurality of entries associated with a previous version of a software product, wherein the previous version of the software product has not been redeemed; generating a serial number for each retrieved entry, wherein each serial number is associated with a current version of the software product; and updating, in the database, each retrieved entry with the generated serial number.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTHENTICATION OF ACCESS TOKENS
Systems and methods for authentication may include a first device including a memory, a communication interface, and one or more processors. The memory may include a counter value, transmission data, and at least one key. The one or more processors may be in communication with the memory and communication interface. The one or more processors may be configured to create a cryptogram using the at least one key and counter value, wherein the cryptogram includes the counter value and the transmission data; transmit the cryptogram via the communication interface; update the counter value after cryptogram transmission; receive an encrypted access token via the communication interface; decrypt the encrypted access token; store the decrypted access token in the memory; and transmit, after entry of the communication interface into a communication field, the access token via the communication interface for access to one or more resources, wherein the access token is encrypted.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURE REPROVISIONING
Systems and methods for authentication may include a first device having an association with a first account, including a memory containing one or more applets, a counter value, and transmission data, a communication interface, and one or more processors in communication with the memory and communication interface. The first device may create a cryptogram based on the counter value, wherein the cryptogram includes the counter value and the transmission data. The first device may transmit, after entry of the communication interface into a communication field, the cryptogram, and update, after transmission of the cryptogram, the counter value. The first device may receive, via the communication interface, one or more encrypted keys and one or more parameters. The first device may decrypt the one or more encrypted keys and, after decryption of the one or more encrypted keys, switch an association from the first account to a second account.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR MODIFYING CONTACTLESS PAYMENT CARD CONFIGURATIONS
The invention provides methods, systems and computer program products for modifying priority parameters corresponding to a software payment application within a contactless payment card. In an embodiment the invention comprises (i) establishing communication between the contactless payment card and a mobile communication device, (ii) parsing an application directory listing stored within the payment card, (iii) extracting information corresponding to a plurality of software payment applications stored within the payment card, (iv) selecting a software payment application from among the plurality of software payment applications, (v) specifying a modification to a priority tag value associated with the selected software payment application, (vi) receiving an encrypted unique identifier associated with the payment card from an issuer server, and modifying the priority tag associated with the selected software payment application, provided the received encrypted unique identifier matches payment card identifier information stored within the memory of the contactless payment card.
SMART CARD WITH BUILT-IN SUPPORT PROVISIONING MECHANISM
Systems and methods for augmenting a dedicated payment instrument to leverage built-in access to real-time support from a central system are provided. Methods may be executed via computer-executable instructions that are stored in a non-transitory memory of the instrument and run on a microprocessor embedded in the instrument. Methods may include receiving a request from a user of the instrument, via one or more sensors, to initiate a support session. The sensors may include a camera, a microphone, and/or a tactile sensor. Methods may include transmitting the request to the central system via a wireless communication element, and receiving, from the central system, support session data. Methods may also include displaying, on a display screen, information based on the support session data.
