PAYMENT DEVICE APPLETS WITH PRE-STORED MESSAGES AND TRIGGERABLE LOGIC
A system may include a payment card that includes one or more chips that are operable to utilize information in a payment transaction to enact different functions. For example, a payment applet in a contact chip transaction (e.g., contact EMV transaction) or contactless chip transaction (e.g., contactless EMV transaction) may utilize information that flows through the chip (e.g., country, time, date, transaction amount, approval status) to trigger pre-stored messages or functions (e.g., switch to a payment option or account). Information may be introduced into the chip during a transaction as a result of manual input from the cardholder on the cardholder's phone or other device. Thus, transaction scripting (e.g., EMV scripting) may be utilized to let a card (e.g., static or powered) know that a function (e.g., change of account) is desired by a cardholder and the chip may, if not in the proper account, reset and restart the chip in a mode associated with the desired function (e.g., in the desired account).
MULTI-FUNCTION APPLET POWERED CARDS AND OTHER DEVICES
A card or other device may include two or more contact chips, each contact chip associated with a different payment method.
SCALABLE LOYALTY PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF PROCESSING LOYALTY DATA
Real time scalable loyalty processing apparatuses and/or systems operable to process up to ten thousand transactions per second and more than one billion transactions annually, and having a sub-second response time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSACTION DETECTION AND TRANSACTION INDICATOR MECHANISMS FOR CARDS AND DEVICES
A detection activity of a card may be sensitive to property changes in one or more conductive pads on the card and/or information received by the card, where a processor of the card may execute a transaction indication algorithm based on detected property changes on the card, that may be caused by the card's proximity to a point-of-sale terminal and/or by information received by the card. The transaction indication algorithm may cause the processor to provide visible, audible and/or tactile indicators on the card based on the detection.
ADVANCED SECURE PAYMENT DEVICE
A wallet card or other device includes three buttons, a PCB antenna for connection to all cellular bands including low band, mid band and high band, dual pressure sensors operable to determine velocity and/or as an independent trigger, a cellular chip whose encryption/decryption key between a payment network and the cellular chip is dynamically changeable for security, and a dynamic magnetic communications device operable to communicate data using a magnetic data waveform with amplitude adjusted by the device.
Multi-device point-of-sale system having multiple customer-facing devices
Techniques for conducting transaction(s) between a merchant and customer(s) via a. multi-device point-of-sale system are described. The multi-device POS system can include a merchant-facing device having a first processor for processing first instructions for presenting a merchant user interface (UI) on a display of the merchant-facing device. Further, the multi-device POS system can include a first customer-facing device having a second processor for processing second instructions for presenting a first customer UI. The first customer UI can enable a first customer to perform a first action associated with a first transaction. The first customer-facing device can have been coupled to the merchant-facing device at a first time. Further, the multi-device POS system can include an application, which can be stored on the merchant-facing device, a second customer-facing device, or a personal device, for presenting a second customer UI enabling performance of a second action.
Card not present transaction system and method for operating card not present transaction system to simplify hardware required at client sites
A card not present (CNP) transaction system includes a transaction control device for scanning a barcode to obtain transaction information and an address of a middleware and to send a connection message to the address of the middleware according to the transaction information, the middleware for establishing a connection with a transaction control device according to the connection message received, to obtain a transaction token and a transaction amount from the transaction control device through the connection and to send a transaction message according to the transaction token and the transaction amount, and an acquirer server for receiving the transaction message to establish a connection with the middleware and to generate a transaction confirmation message to the middleware according to the transaction message after verifying the transaction token.
Methods and systems for biometric card enrollment
Methods, apparatus and systems for allowing users to easily and securely enroll directly into a newly issued biometric payment card. In an embodiment, a user is provided with a biometric payment card enrollment package that includes a biometric payment card, an energy sleeve having a power source and at least a front wall and a rear wall defining an opening for accepting the biometric payment card therein, and at least one light-emitting diode (LED). The power source includes circuitry to provide power to an EMV chip of the biometric payment card when the biometric payment card is seated therein, and to provide power to the LED during a biometric enrollment process. In some embodiments, a software development kit (SDK) provided by the issuer of the biometric payment card provides support and guidance which enables the user to enroll directly into the biometric payment card.
APPLICATION MANAGEMENT FOR SIMULATED CONTACTLESS PAYMENT CARDS
Application management services for simulated contactless cards support applying payment when a provisioned card (cardholder profile) is stored in volatile memory of a computing device by maintaining a first channel open between a payment application and a provisioning service while communicating payment information to a point of sale terminal over a second channel.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TRACKING SALES TAX
A system and method of tracking sales tax. The present invention separates and logs each sales tax for each purchase, which eliminates the need for keeping physical receipts on a yearly basis and having to tally sales tax when preparing tax returns.
