PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH AUTOMATIC EXIT DETECTION MODES OF OPERATION
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, etc., for supporting a patient includes an exit detection system with multiple user-selectable modes of operation that each have different sensitivity levels for triggering an exit alert. The exit detection system also includes one or more non-user selectable modes of operation that are automatically implemented in response to a triggering action. For example, a transition mode may be automatically implemented when the user attempts to switch from a first user-selectable mode to a different user selectable mode, or a motion mode may be automatically implemented when movement of one or more components of the patient support apparatus occurs. In the transition mode, the exit detection system may use a least restrictive sensitivity level. In the motion mode, the exit detection system may inhibit exit alerts and/or change the criteria for issuing the exit alert.
MOBILE INTEGRATED PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS
A patient support apparatus, mobile integrated critical care unit. a patient bed includes more than a system such as a ventilation system, monitoring system, and a bar as a holder for syringe and infusion pumps implemented with their power supply and supported with examination light. Left head side rail includes monitoring system interface and the rear side of the same side rail includes the docking area for patient probes which in communicate with monitoring electronic system fixed inside the side rail. Ventilation system interface at the right head side rail. Inspiration and expiration modules coupled to the backside of the patient backrest board connected to the patient through a breathing circuit. Ventilation system control box, ventilation power box, gases control box, located at the unit base frame. A wall-mounted monitor displays systems data. The unit provided with blower and back up oxygen cylinder to support the ventilation system.
CASTOR BASE WITH LOAD SENSOR
Systems and methods for a load sensing system that determines a mass on a bed. The systems generally are in the form of a castor base, particularly one that can be used as part of an adjustable hospital bed. The load sensing system serves to determine the mass of any object or objects (typically a human or animal patient) which is placed on the bed by having the mass create a force on lever arms of a plurality of load cells in the castor base. The load sensing systems are designed to work without hindering the adjustable functionality of the bed and can accurately determine mass (weight) at any position of the bed, and potentially even while the bed is adjusting between positions.
Siderail power communication interface
A siderail assembly for a person support apparatus comprises a siderail body, a grip portion, and a power communication device. The siderail body includes a front surface, a back surface, and a side surface extending between the front surface and the back surface. The side surface defines a perimeter of the siderail body. The grip portion includes a siderail opening through a portion of the siderail body. The grip opening has an upper grip opening portion that cooperates with the side surface to define a grip. The power communication device is configured to communicate power wirelessly to a device in communication therewith.
Patient care system
A patient support apparatus system and patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, operating table, recliner, or the like, include a litter frame, a support deck, a sensor configured to detect caregiver activity, a transceiver communicating with a server, and a controller. The controller is configured to send alerts or messages to the server when caregiver assignment errors or caregiver inattention issues are identified. An alert is sent when a caregiver has not attended to a patient within a certain period of time, or when a caregiver has not been assigned to a particular patient or a particular location within a healthcare facility to which a patient has been assigned. The patient support apparatus and system are in communication with other healthcare facility systems and devices that gather and share information and data to alert caregivers in an effort to avoid patient neglect.
Clamp to attach electronic device holder to bed rail
A personal electronic device holder with a clamp is described. The clamp including a body having a U-shape, a first surface, and a second surface. The first surface and the second surface positionable to selectively clamp against a side rail of health care facility equipment. The holder also includes a structure for retaining and powering or providing data and power to a personal electronic device at the end of a positionable arm connected to the clamp.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH AUTOMATIC DISPLAY CONTROL
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, recliner, or the like, includes a patient support surface, a display, a plurality of indicators and/or controls, an ambient light sensors, and a controller. The display is adapted to be illuminated at multiple illumination levels, and the controller is adapted to receive ambient light level readings from the ambient light sensor, to use the ambient light level readings to automatically select a particular brightness level for the display, and to cause the display to display information at the particular brightness level. In some embodiments, multiple ambient light sensors are included and the readings of those within a valid range are averaged together to determine the particular brightness level. Machine learning algorithms may also be included for selecting the brightness level based on a user's prior history of manually selecting a brightness level.
User module for a patient support apparatus
A user module for a patient support is provided. The user module is coupled to a patient support barrier, such as a siderail or a footboard.
Sleeping or reclining furniture with a sensor
The invention relates to a piece of sleeping or reclining furniture, comprising a support element (2) for applying a padding or a mattress and at least one sensor (12) for detecting vibrations, movement, and/or sound. The piece of sleeping or reclining furniture is characterized in that the at least one sensor (12) is arranged at a section (120) of the support element (2) that is decoupled from further sections of the support element (2) and/or of the sleeping or reclining furniture.
Head extension and transport handle system
A patient support apparatus includes a base frame and an upper frame configured to support a mattress. The upper frame has a head portion including a recessed edge. Lift arms are coupled to the upper frame and configured to adjust a position of the upper frame. A first handle is coupled to the head portion on a first side of the recessed edge. A second handle is coupled to the head portion on a second side of the recessed edge. The first and second handles are configured to pivot inboard and toward one another to a lowered position extending over the upper frame adjacent to the recessed edge. An intravenous pole is pivotally coupled to the head portion and is adjustable between a deployed position and a stowed position. The intravenous pole extends along a rear wall of the recessed edge over the upper frame when in the stowed position.
