A system enables cryptocurrency payment transactions between devices using off-chain asset data that is related to blockchain assets within a blockchain but without committing the payment transaction to the blockchain until a later time. A device selects a settlement model to determine if a payment transaction is valid. When valid, the device adjusts a value of off-chain asset data stored in its memory. The device may aggregate multiple transactions, which may involve the same or different cryptocurrencies, adjusting the value of the off-chain asset data stored in its memory after each transaction. Subsequently, the device may commit at least a portion of the off-chain asset data to the blockchain.

A system and method for blockchain-based document processing includes a processor, network interface, print engine, scan engine, and a memory storing a blockchain ledger. The blockchain ledger includes time stamped blocks, each block including currency data associated with a digital currency value. The processor generates a block corresponding to a received instruction, a preexisting currency value associated with the received instruction and contract data corresponding to a smart contract associated with the received instruction. The processor updates the blockchain ledger with a generated block and shares an updated blockchain ledger with other networked data devices via the network interface. The processor also receives verification of the updated blockchain ledger from the other networked data devices. The processor executes the smart contract upon receipt of verification.

A system and method for payment notification using blockchain. The system and method relate to real-time monitoring and updating of a list of accounts that have not satisfied a minimum payment amount due. The real-time monitoring and updating of the list occurs through the use of a blockchain monitoring payment information by a user to the account. The blockchain is continually updated every time a payment is made. A notification system receives each update and is aware, in real-time, whether a user has satisfied a minimum payment amount due and thus whether an account is current or in need of a collections notification.

The disclosure relates to a method for requesting and granting priority between a host vehicle and other vehicles, and to a system which implements the method. The host vehicle, through the use of on-board vehicle sensors, detects and identifies an impeding vehicle which interferes with the host vehicle's path. The host vehicle transmits a priority request to the impeding vehicle. The priority request includes a remuneration offer. The impeding vehicle evaluates the priority request, including the sufficiency of the host vehicle's remuneration offer, and grants or denies the host vehicle's priority request. If granted, the impeding vehicle modifies its path to be less impeding to the host vehicle, for example by assuming a cooperative path that lets the host vehicle pass the impeding vehicle.
