Methods and devices for semi-rigid bone fixation

An apparatus for the approximation of two bones with a first anchor having a proximal end and a distal end configured for insertion into a first hole in a first bone. A second anchor has a proximal end and a distal end configured for insertion into a second hole in a second bone. A flexible link extends between the first and second anchors limiting a spacing from the first anchor to the second anchor when in a deployed configuration. The first hole comprises a first diameter, the second hole comprises a second diameter and the first diameter is smaller than the second diameter. The second diameter is uniform across the entire length of the second hole.

Systems and methods for bypassing intermediation using living arrangements
11869105 · 2024-01-09 ·

Systems and methods for establishing a living arrangement between a staker of cryptocurrency and an owner of a real property are described. Distributed ledger technology may be leveraged to facilitate arrangements between a staker (e.g., a cryptocurrency staker) and an owner (e.g., a real property owner). The staker may receive aspects (e.g., staying rights, etc.) of a real property by locking cryptocurrency to a smart contract, where a portion or all of the residuals from decentralized financial activities may be earmarked for the owner. In some cases, maturity of the arrangement may be residual dependent (e.g., where the arrangement terminates once the sum of the residues to the owner reaches a threshold). At the maturity of an arrangement, the staked amount may be unlocked and available for the staker, and the owner's interest in the title (or deed) is transferred and claimable to the staker.

The present invention relates to the field of information technology, the field of issuing and circulating electronic money and cryptocurrency, and the field of payment system technology and making payments. The present invention allows for creating a payment system that uses an Internet connection addressing system instead of BIN routing, and that is compatible with payment tokenization technology and making payments using payment cards and cryptocurrency, which in turn allows for decreasing the cost of making payments by means of using free Internet routing when making said payments, and also allows for providing buyers with the possibility of paying for purchases in cryptocurrency and of exchanging cryptocurrency for fiat money and vice versa using payment card technology. The technical result is achieved by replacing BIN routing of a payment card network by DNS routing of the Internet, as well as by adding an additional DNS token and cryptocurrency wallet address token to a database of a token service provider, and using said tokens to make payments.

A computer-implemented method is provided for creating currency units, comprising the following steps: identifying knowledge, associating a computer-processable object with the knowledge, and connecting a unique IPv6 number with the object. A computer-processable object is provided, comprising: data representing knowledge, a currency unit representative of credibility of the knowledge and/or of application scope of the knowledge, and an IPv6 number, the IPv6 number being unique for the object. A currency unit is provided, comprising a count being representative of credibility of knowledge and/or of application scope of knowledge, an object being associated with the currency unit, and an IPv6 number, the IPv6 number being unique for the object.

CONTENT DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD USING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY
20200349540 · 2020-11-05 ·

Disclosed is a content distribution management system using blockchain technology, including a purchase transaction generator for generating a purchase transaction in response to a content purchase request signal from a user terminal; a broadcasting processor for broadcasting the generated purchase transaction; a transaction processor, in which, when content corresponding to the verified purchase transaction is used in the user terminal after the broadcasted purchase transaction is verified, usage transactions generated in response to the current status of usage of the content are collected; a transaction verifier for verifying the collected usage transactions; and a block generator for generating blocks corresponding to the verified usage transactions, wherein the user terminal inserts a forensic watermark reflecting information corresponding to the verified purchase transaction into the content and outputs the content through a display.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AVOIDING DOUBLE-SPENDING PROBLEM IN READ-WRITE SET-MODEL-BASED BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY
20200349568 · 2020-11-05 · ·

Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for avoiding double-spending problem in read-write set-model-based blockchain technology. One of the methods includes receiving instructions to execute two or more blockchain transactions on a piece of data, where all blockchain transactions of the two or more blockchain transactions modify a value of the piece of data, and for each blockchain transaction from the two or more blockchain transactions, pre-executing a smart contract associated with the blockchain transaction to generate a special instruction indicating the blockchain transaction, where the special instruction is used to validate that a current value of the piece of data supports the blockchain transaction when executing the smart contract to write the blockchain transaction to a blockchain.

Managing Redistribution of Digital Media Assets
20200349541 · 2020-11-05 · ·

In some implementations, a computing device may obtain an original digital media asset published to a server device along with a distributed ledger that tracks ownership of the original digital media asset. The computing device may generate a customized digital media asset that replaces the original digital media asset, and modify the distributed ledger to indicate the customization or modification of the original digital media asset and identify the customized digital media asset and the ownership thereof. The computing device may publish the customized digital media asset to a server device for distribution. Upon transfer of ownership of the customized digital media asset to a new owner, the distributed ledger may be modified to indicate the new ownership of the customized digital media asset.

MONETIZABLE TEMPLATE FOR ASSET TOKEN

A computer system comprises a logic system, and, operatively coupled to the logic system, a computer-memory system holding instructions that, when executed by the logic system, cause the computer system to: receive from a first client a token-behavior selection corresponding to a real-world asset to be tracked on a virtual ledger, the token-behavior selection identifying a client-defined combination of behaviors; construct a reusable template for registration of a token class on the virtual ledger according to a provider-defined architecture of the virtual ledger, wherein each new token instantiated from the token class exhibits the client-defined combination of behaviors as determined by the token-behavior selection; and provide marketplace access to the constructed template to a client computer device operated by a second client that differs from the first client.

CUSTOMIZABLE TEMPLATE FOR ASSET TOKEN

A computer system comprises a logic system, and, operatively coupled to the logic system, a computer-memory system holding instructions that, when executed by the logic system, cause the computer system to: receive a token-behavior selection corresponding to a real-world asset to be tracked on a virtual ledger; construct a template for registration of a token class on the virtual ledger according to a provider-defined architecture of the virtual ledger, wherein each new token instantiated from the token class exhibits a set of behaviors determined by the token-behavior selection; receive client metadata for assignment to a variable property of each new token of the token class; assign the client metadata to the variable property within the token class; and provide access to the template to a client computer device.

EXTENSIBLE TEMPLATE FOR ASSET TOKEN

A computer system comprises a logic system, and, operatively coupled to the logic system, a computer-memory system holding instructions that, when executed by the logic system, cause the computer system to: receive a token-behavior selection corresponding to a real-world asset to be tracked on a virtual ledger, the token behavior selection identifying a client-defined combination of behaviors; construct a template for registration of a token class on the virtual ledger according to the provider-defined architecture of the virtual ledger, wherein each new token instantiated from the token class exhibits the client-defined combination of behaviors as determined by the token-behavior selection; and provide access to the template to a client computer device.
