System and method for guided passcode entry
Systems and methods are provided for facilitating guided entry of a passcode. The exemplary guided passcode entry system provides additional security to traditional secret PIN or passcode entry systems by generating a randomized input sequence (order of entry) and prompting a user to input a passcode according to the randomized input sequence. The system also causes a test of the user's input data against a database of passcodes associated with the particular user for an exact match. The testing step can include comparing characters of the input data to a particular passcode associated with the user which is stored in a database in accordance with the randomized input sequence in regard to the order that the input data was received. Based on the comparison of the received passcode to the stored passcode, the system can advance a transaction with the user.
System and method for processing payment during an electronic commerce transaction
A method and system for processing payment during an electronic commerce transaction is described herein. The system includes: a mobile device configured to provide an electronic wallet storing a payment card, the payment card comprising card payment information, and a card security credential. The system may also include a coordination server configured to receive a request to conduct the electronic commerce transaction, and send an activation message to the mobile device to activate the electronic wallet. When the electronic wallet is activated, the mobile device may be further configured to: receive a card selection input indicating selection of the payment card for payment in the electronic commerce transaction; verify a security input against the card security credential of the payment card; and send the card payment information and confirmation that the payment card was present during the verifying for use in completing the electronic commerce transaction.
Method for using and maintaining user data stored on a smart card
In a method for using and maintaining user data stored on a smart card, a smart card receives a user data request for the user data stored on the smart card. The smart card determines whether the user data request is a data maintenance request or a data use request. A data maintenance request is for modifying user data stored on the smart card. A data use request is for read only access to user data stored on the smart card. The smart card uses a first process to determine whether to allow the user data request when the user data request is determined to be a data maintenance request. The smart card uses a second process, different from the first method, to determine whether to allow the user data request when the user data request is determined to be a data use request.
Timing a notification of an online financial event
A method and apparatus for timing a notification of an online financial event are disclosed. A sender initiates a financial transaction involving a recipient, such as a transfer payment to the recipient, by sending a message to the recipient and a computer system. The computer system obtains contact information for the sender and recipient from the message, and determines that the financial transaction cannot be completed without additional information from, e.g., the sender. The computer system sends a message to the sender requesting the additional information, and determines a period of time to wait before notifying the recipient that the transfer payment was initiated. If the period of time expires without the sender providing the additional information, the computer system sends the notification message. However, if the sender responds within the period of time, no notification message is sent, thereby avoiding the sending of a potentially unnecessary message.
Financial Transaction Medium
One example of a financial transaction medium includes a passive electronic paper display. A security code is displayed on a portion of the passive electronic paper display.
MOBILE APPLICATION AND TWO-WAY FINANCIAL INTERACTION SOLUTION WITH PERSONALIZED ALERTS AND NOTIFICATIONS
A platform, a method and a cloud data interaction product with customized alerts, fraud alerts, notifications, services, promotions and communication between financial institutions and their clients. The invention is a solution that allows the user to integrate information from several financial institutions, through all channels and for all financial products such as credit and debit cards, checking accounts, savings accounts, insurance policies, loans, investments and others. In addition, it creates a bridge for all channels used by clients, such as mobile devices, ATMs, electronic banking, IVR, POS and others
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTION OF CONTROLLED TOKENS
A method for distributing controlled tokens to a secondary mobile device includes: storing account profiles, each including an account identifier, set of token credentials, and an associated mobile device identifier; receiving a token distribution request from a first mobile device including a first mobile device identifier, recipient mobile device identifier, specific account identifier, and account controls; identifying a specific account profile including the specific account identifier and first mobile device identifier; generating a single use identification value and reservation identifier; transmitting the single use identification value to the first mobile device; transmitting the reservation identifier to a second mobile device associated with the recipient mobile device identifier; receiving the reservation identifier and the single use identification value from the second mobile device; verifying the reservation identifier and single use identification value received from the second mobile device; and transmitting a new set of token credentials to the second mobile device.
DISBURSEMENT AND SETTLEMENTS SYSTEM AND METHOD
A computer implemented method and a system for transferring funds between a payor and a payee using a single mobile phone. The method is implemented on a payment processing system and uses transaction information including a payor debit card number, a payor PIN, a payee debit card number and an amount of money to transfer the funds from a payor demand deposit account (DDA) to a payee DDA without using a notify and pay instrument. The payor and the payee interact with the payment processing system with a single mobile phone.
SAME SCREEN QUICK PAY BUTTON
A payment button on a device, such as a mobile phone, allows the user to remain on the window or page from which an item was selected for purchase. When the user is ready to purchases, the button is selected, and the user simply enters an identifier, such as a password or PIN, and the transaction is processed. The button remains on the same screen and changes during different stages of the payment process.
ATM token cash withdrawal
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system for managing financial tokens associated with a financial account, whereby the system is directed towards generating and authenticating tokens associated with the financial account in order to grant access to a user to conduct financial transactions on the financial account using an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). The system is configured to generate a server token that is associated with at least one financial account; communicate, to a first mobile device, a server packet comprising at least the server token; receive, from an ATM, a security packet communicated from a second mobile device to the ATM comprising at least a device token; authenticate the device token, the authentication comprising comparing the device token with the server token, thereby resulting in a successful authentication of the device token; and communicate the successful authentication to the ATM.
