Method and device for parameterising a device for performing banking operations
A method for parameterising a device for performing banking operations in which biometric data of the holder of the device for performing banking operations are used to authenticate the user of the device. The present invention: activates a plurality of commands using identifiers of a standard relating to banking transactions available for effecting commands not predefined by the standard; creates, from an identifier of the standard relating to banking transactions available for effecting commands not predefined by the standard, in the device for performing banking operations, a container able to store reference biometric data of a user of the device for performing banking operations; and stores reference biometric data, using an identifier of the standard relating to banking transactions available for effecting commands not predefined by the standard, in the container of reference biometric data of the user of the device for performing banking operations.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING ATM FUND TRANSFER USING ACTIVE AUTHENTICATION
A method of performing a fund transfer at an ATM includes receiving an active authentication transaction key at an ATM from a mobile financial transaction instrument via a wireless communication protocol, generating a PIN at the ATM, and storing the PIN in a machine readable storage medium. An authorization request message is transmitted to a financial institution identified by the active authentication transaction key. The authorization request message includes the PIN and at least a portion of the active authentication transaction key. The PIN is received from a user of the mobile financial transaction instrument, and the funds are dispensed in response to receiving the PIN.
DYNAMIC MODIFICATION OF A VERIFICATION METHOD ASSOCIATED WITH A TRANSACTION CARD
A device may determine that a verification method associated with a transaction card is to be modified from a first verification method to a second verification method. The first verification method and the second verification method may use different types of verification information. The device may provide a set of instructions to the transaction card after determining that the verification method is to be modified. The set of instructions may cause the transaction card to modify the verification method from the first verification method to the second verification method. The device may provide information identifying a modification to the verification method to a transaction backend device to notify the transaction backend device that the verification method associated with the transaction card has been modified from the first verification method to the second verification method.
Method and Device for Protecting Data Entered by Means of a Non-Secure User Interface
In the field of payment terminals, a new generation of feature-rich payment terminals is emerging. These payment terminals are mass-produced and the level of security provided for data entry operations is low because the primary function of these communication terminals is not the entry of sensitive data. As a result, the data relating to payment transactions entered via these payment terminals are entered with a level of security that is not adequate as regards the sensitivity of the data entered. Accordingly, a communication terminal is provided, which secures data entered via a user interface of a communication terminal, by transmitting them among a stream of dummy data, and by encrypting all data, those actually entered by a user and the dummy data, before the transmission thereof to a secure data processing device.
SECURE PRESENTATION OF TRANSACTION CARD DATA OF NUMBERLESS TRANSACTION CARDS
A method for securely presenting transaction card data of a transaction card includes receiving, by a server, a pairing request to pair the transaction card with a user device. Based on the pairing request, the transaction card is paired with the user device by way of a pairing identifier. The server receives, from the user device, a data presentation request to present the transaction card data on the user device. In response to the data presentation request, the server validates the pairing between the user device and the transaction card based on the pairing identifier. The server communicates, to the user device, the transaction card data based on the validation of the pairing between the user device and the transaction card. The communicated transaction card data is presented on a user interface rendered on the user device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LINKING AUTHENTICATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH NETWORK INTERACTIONS
Systems and methods are provided for associating authentications and authorizations in connection with network interactions. An exemplary system includes a computing device configured to receive an authorization request for a network interaction from an acquirer, where the authorization request includes a primary account number (PAN) for a payment account and a transaction amount. The computing device is also configured to determine whether the authorization request includes an accountholder authentication value (AAV) and/or a transaction identifier (ID). In response to the authorization request including the AAV and the transaction ID, the computing device is configured to determine whether the AAV and the transaction ID are included in a data structure and, in response to them being included in the data structure, append a tag to the authorization request indicative of association of the authorization request to an authentication in the data structure associated with the AAV and the transaction ID.
COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM, PAYMENT SYSTEM, AND PAYMENT SERVER
Provided is a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium on which an executable program is recorded, the program causing a processor of a computer to execute outputting, to a display, information obtained by a comparison between a parking fee that increases in accordance with a lapse of a parking duration in a toll parking lot and a balance of a payment method.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURING DATA USING A TOKEN
Provided herein is a computing system for electronically transmitting a token linked to personally identifying information (PII) of a user to a merchant. The computing system includes a processor in communication at a memory device, and the processor is programmed to: (i) receive PII, issued payment instrument data, and a user identifier associated with a user, (ii) store the PII, issued payment instrument data, and user identifier in the memory device, (iii) receive an identification request for a user associated with a transaction including payment instrument data, (iv) perform a lookup in the memory device to retrieve the PII of the user and the stored user identifier associated with the received payment instrument data, (v) receive a user input identifier from the user to authenticate the user, (vi) generate a token that links the PII of the user to the transaction, and (vii) transmit the token to the merchant.
Systems and methods for object processing
Systems and methods are provided for processing objects. For example, a call request message is received, the call request message carrying an identification (ID) of order data associated with one or more objects, the order data including at least a total value of the objects and an ID of a second subject; a first account related to a first subject and a user password related to the first subject are acquired; the first account and the user password and the ID of the order data are sent; the first account and the user password and the ID of the order data are forwarded; and based on at least information associated with the first account and the user password and the ID of the order data, the total value is deducted from a first value included in the first account related to the first subject.
Methods and Systems for Robotic Testing of Fuel Point of Sale Terminals
A method of providing fuel to consumers at fuel pumping stations. The method comprises installing a given version of a software update in a fuel pump simulator; testing the given version of the software update in the fuel pump simulator by an automated fuel pump test platform, wherein the testing comprises a personal identification number (PIN) entry robot of the automated fuel pump test platform keying a PIN into a PIN pad of the fuel pump simulator and wherein the PIN pad of the fuel pump simulator is maintained at an angle between 30 degrees relative to horizontal and 60 degrees relative to horizontal; and detecting an error in the given version of the software update by the automated fuel pump test platform.
