According to one disclosed embodiment, a system includes: a scanner configured to scan a passive data source on an identification card; and a processor coupled to the scanner, the processor configured to: receive a scanner signal from the scanner; verify an age of a user based on the scanner signal; and transmit verification information to a point of sale device, the point of sale device configured to authorize a sale of age-restricted material based on the verification information.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DECONFLICTING DATA FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES IN COMPUTER SYSTEMS

Methods and systems are described for verifying an identity of a user through contextual knowledge-based authentication. The system described uses contextual knowledge-based authentication. By verifying an identity of a user through contextual knowledge-based authentication, the verification is both more secure and more intuitive to the user. For example, by relying on confidential and/or proprietary information, the system may generate verification questions, the answers to which are known only by the user.

DISTRIBUTED-LEDGER BASED DISTRIBUTED TRANSACTION PROCESSING AS A BROKERED SERVICE

Systems and methods for distributed ledger based distributed transaction processing as a brokered service are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for generating a plurality of user transaction profiles may include: (1) receiving, at a computer program for a trusted entity, a transaction involving an account for a user; (2) retrieving, by the computer program, transaction profile information for the user, the transaction profile specifying a plurality of transaction profiles for the user, each transaction profile having a different anonymity level; and (3) writing, by the computer program and on a distributed ledger, the transaction to each transaction profile at the anonymity level for the transaction profile. The transaction profiles on the distributed ledger are linked to each other.

REMOTE ACTIVATION OF KIOSK TO SERVE PRODUCT OR RELEASE CASH TO CUSTOMER

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for remote activation of an automated teller machine (ATM) to dispense cash to a customer. The customer may stage a transaction using a mobile application on a mobile device. Upon the staged transaction being authenticated and approved, the customer may visit the ATM. The customer may capture an image being displayed on a display of the ATM using a camera of the mobile device. The captured image may be sent to an application server from the mobile device. The application server may associate the ATM with the staged transaction that is staged using the mobile application, and send instructions to the ATM to dispense cash according to the staged transaction.

CONTACTLESS CARD PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

A dual-factor PIN based authentication system and method uses a cryptogram provided by a contactless card associated with the client in association with a PIN stored by the contactless card to authenticate the client. In some embodiments, cryptogram authentication may be preconditioned upon a PIN match determination by the contactless card. In other embodiments, the cryptogram may be formed at least in part using the personal identification number (PIN) stored on the contactless card encoded using a dynamic key stored by the contactless card and uniquely associated with the client. Authentication may be achieved by comparing the cryptogram formed using the PIN against an expected cryptogram generated an expected PIN and an expected dynamic key.
