A system and method are provided for automatically validating users through a country, location or residence specific manner, for example to permit access to a blockchain enabled application. Optionally, such validation comprises transmission of a code to a valid communication device, capable of receiving an SMS or other message type, that validates the location and/or citizenship of the user. Optionally, additionally or alternatively, such validation comprises the application of a national citizenship and/or residency based digital schema, such as the DigiD digital identification schema of the Netherlands. Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for authenticating access to an account using questions which allow users to provide textual information about transactions conducted by an account. A machine learning model may be trained to predict the guessability of merchants. A request for access to an account may be received, and transaction data for that account may be received. An authentication question may be presented. For example, a user may be prompted to list places they have shopped recently. A user response comprising text data may be received. The text data may be processed to identify one or more merchants. If the one or more merchant(s) are represented in the transaction data, the machine learning model may be used to determine the guessability of the one or more merchants. An authentication score may be determined based on the guessability, and access to the account may be provided.

Described herein are systems and methods for applying machine learning to telematics data to generate a unique driver fingerprint for an individual by periodically receiving telematics data generated at a plurality of sensors of a vehicle; standardizing the telematics data; aggregating the standardized telematics data; applying a trained machine learning model to embed the aggregated telematics data into a low-dimensional state; and generating a unique driver fingerprint for the individual, the driver fingerprint comprising a static component, a dynamic component, or both a static component and a dynamic component; including iterative repetition to update the dynamic component of the driver fingerprint.
Systems and methods for dynamic authorization of virtual bank account transactions
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a transaction authorization request associated with a transfer of resources to a receiving entity from a user, retrieving a transaction resource configuration of a virtual bank account (VBAN) associated with the receiving entity and the user, the transaction resource configuration being decoupled from an external resource account associated with the user and the VBAN, determining parameters of the transaction resource configuration are not satisfied, transmitting instructions for presenting a notification indicating a transaction authorization failure to a client device associated with the user, wherein the notification comprises an interactive prompt operable for receiving an input indicating whether the transaction authorization request should be authorized, and transmitting a transaction authorization response indicating whether the transaction is authorized, wherein the transaction being authorized causes a stored value balance of the external resource account to be reduced.
VIRTUAL POS TERMINAL METHOD AND APPARATUS
Methods, systems, and storage media are described for processing point of sale (POS) transactions. In embodiments, a computing device may receive a transaction initiation, and provide a selection of a payment credential to be used to process a POS transaction. The computing device includes a trusted execution environment to process the POS transaction in response to the selection of the payment credential. The trusted execution environment may comprise a payment credential storage unit to store payment credentials and a virtual POS terminal that may validate a merchant terminal associated with the transaction initiation, process the POS transaction using the selected payment credential to generate payment data, and encrypt the payment data. The computing device may communicate the encrypted payment data to a cloud POS service for further processing. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

The present disclosure relates to credential management for mobile devices that can be used for access to secured physical environments. One aspect comprises a computer implemented method comprising a server system: receiving, from a mobile computing device, a provisioning request, which includes an account credential; authenticating the provisioning request based on the mobile computing device being linked to an account indicated by the account credential; generating an account token, which is bound to the account credential; generating one or more limited-use credentials (LUCs), using an application sequence counter, each of the one or more LUCs associated with a corresponding application sequence counter value; generating one or more emergency credentials; and transmitting, to the mobile computing device, the account token, the one or more LUCs, the application sequence counter values, and the one or more emergency credentials.

An apparatus for use in an identity management system includes a storage device; a network interface; and a processor, the storage device storing software instructions for controlling the processor to: process a request, received via a network interface, for an exclusive claim to a unique identifier associated with an individual; verify the individual's claim to the unique identifier is proper; if the individual's claim is verified, create a user account, wherein the user account is associated with the respective individual's claimed unique identifier; provide a look up service for responding to external queries regarding whether individual unique identifiers of the type claimed by the individual have been claimed; and provide proof of the identity of the individual based on the individual's exclusive claim to the claimed unique identifier in response to a request to provide said proof if authorized by the individual through the user account.
