Method and Apparatus for Mobile Rental of Vehicles
A system for mobile rental of vehicles is provided. The system stores reservation information associated with a customer reservation of a rental vehicle, including a rental return location. During a process for returning the rental vehicle, the system causes the customer's mobile device to share its GPS location information, and uses the shared mobile device GPS location to automatically confirm that the customer is at the rental return location. The system can calculate the distance between the mobile device GPS location and the rental return location to determine whether to instruct the customer to move the vehicle and can confirm that the customer is at the rental return location if the mobile device location is within a pre-defined minimum distance from the rental return location.
SERVICES FOR ENTITY TRUST CONVEYANCES
Services for trust conveyances of entities can be provided and managed. In connection with a transaction between first and second devices, a trust management component (TMC) can indicate trust levels of entities associated with the devices with regard to the transaction and/or an action attempted by an entity. With regard to an action attempted by the first entity, the trust level of the first entity can be evaluated to determine whether it is high enough to allow the action to proceed or to have the second entity respond to the action accordingly. If it is not high enough, the second entity, using the second device, can request a trust conveyance from the first entity via the TMC. The TMC can adjust the respective trust levels based on the outcome(s) of the action(s) of the respective entities with regard to executing the transaction.
MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION PROVIDING A CREDENTIAL VIA A CONTACTLESS CARD FOR SECURE MESSAGING
Exemplary embodiments may use a contactless card as a secondary form of authentication in a multi-factor authentication for a secure messaging service. The recipient party of a request to initiate a messaging service session (such as a server computing device) may be programmed to use the phone number of the originating device to look up records regarding an identity of a party and their associated phone number as a primary credential and then may require an authentication credential originating from the contactless card as a secondary credential for the initiating party. In some instances, the credential originating from the contactless card is a onetime password that is valid only for a period of time. The recipient party determines whether the onetime password is valid. If both credentials are valid, a secure messaging session may be initiated with the initiating party.
DEVICE FOR LAUNCHING MULTIPLE PEER TO PEER CASHLESS PAYMENT APPLICATIONS ON MOBILE DEVICES
A device includes one or more NFC chips that are preprogrammed to provide a payee's identification and information for launching any of several P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed, to a mobile phone of a payor. When a mobile device of a payor is brought to the vicinity of an NFC chip of the device, the mobile device launches a corresponding P2P cashless payment application. The P2P cashless payment application shows the payee's information and the payor may proceed to make a payment to the payee. The device may include an NFC chip that is preprogrammed to provide the payee's identification and the information for launching a single application on the mobile device of the payor to display the P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed. The payor may then proceed to make a payment to the payee using the payor's mobile device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING A MCC-MISCLASSIFIED MERCHANT
A computer system for identifying merchant category code misclassifications includes at least one processor in communication with a transaction database and a merchant database. The transaction database stores transaction records by a plurality of account holders. The processor generates a first MCC profile including at least one transaction characteristic representative of merchants properly classified as the first MCC and comparing the first MCC profile to a second set of transaction records. If the comparison satisfies a comparison threshold for the first MCC the processor identifies the corresponding selected merchant as being MCC misclassified.
VEHICLE-DRIVING-RELATED PAYMENT SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREFOR
A payment system for an occurring cost that is related to vehicle driving, and a method therefor are disclosed. A vehicle-driving-related payment server includes an input unit for receiving vehicle recognition information; memory having stored therein a program for processing payment for a cost related to vehicle driving, according to the vehicle recognition information; and a processor for running the program, wherein the processor transmits payment push for the cost related to vehicle driving, confirms whether an application is installed on a valid mobile terminal, and processes a payment process for the cost related to vehicle driving.
Method, apparatus and electronic device for blockchain transactions
A method for implementing blockchain-based transactions comprises: determining a transaction amount to be remitted from a remitter's blockchain account into a receiver's blockchain account, wherein a balance of the remitter's blockchain account comprises multiple reserve balances, and commitments of the reserve balances are recorded in a blockchain; selecting one or more of the reserve balances from the remitter's blockchain account, wherein the sum of the selected one or more reserve balances is not smaller than the transaction amount; and submitting to the blockchain a transaction comprising an identification of each of the selected one or more reserve balances and a commitment of the transaction amount, for the selected one or more reserve balances to be removed from the remitter's blockchain account and the transaction amount to be added to the receiver's blockchain account.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR SECURE PAYMENT DEVICE DATA STORAGE AND ACCESS
Provided are a system, method, and computer program product for secure payment device data storage and access. The method includes storing payment device data associated with a payment device of a user and generating a unique uniform resource locator (URL) associated with the payment device. The method also includes transmitting the unique URL to an application provider system through a first communication channel and receiving a data access request from the client device via the unique URL through a second communication channel separate from the first communication channel. The method further includes, in response to receiving the data access request, verifying an identity of the user by executing a step-up authentication protocol. The method further includes, in response to verifying the identity of the user, transmitting a data access response including the payment device data to the client device through the second communication channel.
DATABASE SYSTEM PUBLIC TRUST TOKEN REDEEM ARCHITECTURE USING WALLETS
A first message indicating that a first digital token created within an on-demand database system and recorded in a public trust ledger external to the on-demand database system has been transferred from a first party within the public trust ledger to a second party within the public trust ledger may be received. The on-demand database system may communicate with the public trust ledger to add a wallet account as a secondary owner to a smart contract that includes a second digital token. The smart contract may identify one or more conditions for transferring the second digital token to the second party. A second message identifying the second digital token may be transmitted to the second party within the public trust ledger.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ANONYMOUS CASHLESS PAYMENTS
Method and systems for facilitating cashless payments by using a smart phone without a requirement for any of a mobile application, an exchange of personally identifying information, or a payee account are provided. The method includes: receiving an identification number that corresponds to a request for payment submitted by a potential payee; retrieving, based on the identification number, identifying information that corresponds to an account associated with a potential payor; transmitting, to the potential payor, a first message that includes a request for a payment amount; receiving, from the potential payor, a second message that includes a confirmation and the payment amount; validating the request for payment; transferring, to the potential payee, a cookie that is associated with the requested payment amount; and when a confirmation that the requested payment has been completed is received, transmitting, to the payor, a confirmation that the payment has been completed.
