Mobile wallet as a consumer of services from a service provider
A system for supporting transactions by mobile devices includes a mobile transaction platform server hosting and managing a plurality of wallet services and at least one interface for deployment of the mobile transaction server within a network ecosystem used by a service provider. The service provider uses a resource of the mobile transaction platform to publish software that provides incremental functionality to a wallet application that operates on the mobile transaction platform.
Mobile wallet as provider of services consumed by service provider applications
A system for supporting transactions by mobile devices includes a mobile transaction platform server hosting and managing a plurality of wallet services and at least one interface by which a service provider may discover and access the wallet services to build and distribute at least one wallet service to a services ecosystem, wherein the at least one wallet service enables implementation of a mobile transaction according to a template.
ORDERING CONTENT BY MOBILE PHONE TO BE PLAYED ON CONSUMER DEVICES
A system (400), device (101) (202) (401-404) and method are provided to purchase, download and obtain transferable rights to play content using a mobile telephone. In an alternative embodiment, the mobile telephone is used to purchase content, which then is downloaded using other channels, i.e., a broadband using other consumer devices (202) (401-404) and played by these other devices (202) (401-404).
REMOTELY CONTROLLING USE OF FEATURES BASED ON AUTOMATIC VALIDATION REQUESTS
A system and method for disabling a function of a feature of a vehicle based on a validation request to a centralized validation authority, prior to a use of the feature includes determining that a condition is met as part of a startup sequence of the vehicle, transmitting the validation request to the centralized validation authority, in response to determining the condition is met, wherein the validation request is part of the startup sequence of the vehicle, receiving a validation decision from the centralized validation authority, and disabling the feature of the vehicle as a function of the receiving the validation decision.
FINANCIAL CARD PROTECTION SYSTEM
The system to improve protection of financial cards during and prior to use includes a financial company server, a financial card assigned to a customer and the customer's mobile electronic devices. The company server has a software program that handles account monetary requests that come through financial networks. The server communicates with the owner/customer of the card via the mobile electronic devices. An application is supplied by the financial company for the card holder's devices. When a transaction is attempted, the system determines the distance between the attempted card transaction and the card holder's device. Based on the calculated distance compared to a stored limit, a suggestion to deny or accept the transaction is displayed on the device, as well as virtual accept and deny buttons. A map of the transaction and the device may be displayed, to assist the customer in their decision to accept or deny the transaction.
Systems and Methods for Fraud Reduction
A method comprising: (a) receiving, at a server, a fueling request for a specific vehicle including location data and fuel consumption data; (b) calculating a fueling transaction price based on said consumption data; and (c) transmitting a transaction request for said fueling transaction price to a payment processor and/or a credit provider.
Automated teller machines (ATMs) having offline functionality
A device may receive customer data, and store the customer data in a secure memory device of the device. The device may implement a backup mode in which the device utilizes the customer data to authorize requests based on determining that the device lacks a network connection. The device may receive, when the device is in the backup mode, a request for currency that includes authentication information. The device, while in the backup mode, may authorize the request for currency based on comparing the authentication information and the customer data. The device may dispense currency based on a result of comparing the authentication information and the customer data. The device may store transaction data associated with dispensing of the currency to permit the transaction data to be transmitted when the network connection is restored.
TRANSACTION PROCESSING BASED ON STATISTICAL CLASSIFICATION AND CONTEXTUAL ANALYSIS
A computer-implemented method includes: receiving, by a computing device, transaction information for a transaction, wherein the transaction information identifies one or more items in the transaction; classifying, by the computing device, each of the one or more items; selecting, by the computing device, one or more payment accounts, of a plurality of payment accounts, to use to pay for the one or more items based on the classifying each of the one or more items; and communicating, by the computing device, with one or more payment servers to charge the one or more payment accounts for the one or more items.
SECURE LOCATION BASED ELECTRONIC FINANCIAL TRANSACTION METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Mobile payments to Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminals, kiosks, vending systems etc. as well as mobile banking are increasingly common due to the electronic devices available. However, fraud is an ongoing issue. Embodiments of the invention support increased security by applying processes which allow for easy and secure development of financial transaction services and equipment. Accordingly, the location of the consumer performing the financial transaction is included within the process. Embodiments include a consumer being physically present to authorise irrespective of authorisation of their credentials, a consumer may establish preferred locations for transactions, a retailer and consumer may perform the transaction once the consumer has left the retail location through stored location data of the user's device. Embodiments of the invention also support financial transactions without a direct PoS transaction as the user's device and the PoS terminal broker the transaction in the cloud using location data.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPULSE PURCHASE PROMPTING
A system includes a mobile device, an impulse purchase location, an impulse purchase prompt initiator that detects a position of the mobile device, an impulse purchase prompt, and a fulfillment configuration. The impulse purchase prompt initiator automatically transmits the prompt to the mobile device. The fulfillment configuration fulfills an impulse purchase in response to a customer response to the prompt and comprises an automated locker including a storage compartment. The impulse purchase prompt initiator automatically sends a signal to the automated locker indicative of the an impulse purchase request so as to automatically cause the storage compartment to open and dispense a product, and is configured to determine that the mobile device is stationary and to only automatically transmit the prompt in response to the mobile device being stationary for a predetermined period of time and before the customer completes an initial transaction.
