METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AUTHENTICATION FOR REMOTE TRANSACTIONS
Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for authentication of remote transactions. For instance, the method may include receiving a request for an interaction, obtaining data relating to an authentication item, and determining the location of a user device used by the user to initiate the interaction. The method may further include transmitting, to the user device, authentication data configured to cause a camera device to generate a response including the location of the camera device, receiving the response, authenticating the camera device as being associated with the user, and receiving one or more images of the authentication item captured by the camera device. The method may additionally include verifying that the user is in possession of the authentication item based on an analysis of the one or more images being received from the camera device and approving the interaction.
MOBILE AUTHENTIFICATION METHOD VIA PEER MOBILES
Embodiments include systems and techniques to perform secure transactions including processing registration information for each computing device of a plurality of computing devices having authority over a financial account. In one example, embodiments include receiving a pending transaction against the financial account from a computing device. Embodiments include executing an authentication protocol to determine the computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information, and processing data identifying another computing device within a configurable distance from the computing device. Embodiments further include the system to execute the authentication protocol to determine the other computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information and bypass a portion of a security procedure for authorizing execution of the pending transaction.
AUTOMATIC DETECTION AND VALIDATION OF TRANSPORT SERVICE
An example operation includes one or more of performing, by a transport, validation of a service that is utilized at a first time, in response to the validation at the first time, transferring, by the transport, a portion of a value related to the service, performing, by the transport, at least one other validation of the service that is utilized at a second time, wherein the second time is later than the first time, and in response to the at least one other validation at the second time, transferring, by the transport, a second portion of the value related to the service.
Configuring Verification Information At Point-of-Sale Devices
Techniques and arrangements for dynamically modifying a cardholder verification method (CVM) implemented at a point-of-sale (POS) device. In some instances, the techniques instruct a POS device to determine an attribute associated with a received payment instrument and determine, based on this information and via the issuing entity, whether to implement a default or static CVM or whether to apply a modified or dynamic CVM such that the POS device requests different verification information than if the POS device did not modify the CVM. The modified or dynamic CVM may be implemented if a customer's device, present at the location of the payment transaction, has installed thereon an application of the entity that has issued the payment instrument.
User positive approval and authentication services (UPAAS)
The invention provides Users of Retail Payment and Identification instruments with the ability to review transaction details and approve transaction by capturing UVM in User controlled environment and Issuers of these instruments with the ability to positively authenticate Users in Issuer controlled environment. The invention accounts for real time legacy or non-legacy processing systems to provide an authorization request from POA to Issuer Host. The invention introduces two UPAAS componentsUser Gateway and User Application. The UPAAS User Gateway is implemented in an Issuer controlled environment enabling interface between Issuer legacy Host and UPAAS User Applications. The UPAAS User Application can be implemented on any device supporting communication protocol such as TCP/IP without any hardware changes enabling the User to login to UPAAS User Gateway, review and approve or decline a specific transaction in real time by entering UVM, such as PIN, for User authentication purposes.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF REVOKING AN ATTESTATION TRANSACTION USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
A method and system of revoking an attestation transaction regarding information of a user is provided. The method is implemented on a computer system having one or more physical processors configured by machine-readable instructions which, when executed perform the method, including generating a signed revocation transaction to revoke the previously attested information, wherein the information has been previously attested to in an attestation transaction stored within a centralized or distributed ledger at an attestation address, the centralized or distributed ledger providing a verifiable record of transactions; and sending the signed revocation transaction to the centralized or distributed ledger and revoking the attestation transaction by spending cryptocurrency associated with the attestation transaction.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF EXECUTING A BUSINESS TRANSACTION FROM A COMMERCIAL WEBSITE USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
Methods and systems of executing a business transaction from a commercial website are provided, including sending a request for information of the user, wherein the information has been previously attested to in an attestation transaction; receiving the information of the user; sending a cryptographic challenge nonce; receiving the cryptographic challenge nonce signed by the user's private key; verifying user identity with the cryptographic challenge nonce signed by the user's private key; deriving a public attest key by using the information of the user; deriving an attestation address using the public attest key; verifying the existence of the attestation transaction at the attestation address in the centralized or distributed ledger; and upon verification of the existence of the attestation transaction, completing the business transaction.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF EXECUTING A BUSINESS TRANSACTION FROM A MERCHANT USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
A method and system for executing a business transaction from a merchant is provided, including receiving at a processor associated with the merchant a code representing information of a user, wherein the code is provided by an output device for a processor associated with the user, and wherein the information has been previously attested to in an attestation transaction stored within a centralized or distributed ledger at an attestation address; converting the code to the information of the user; deriving a public attest key by using the information of the user; deriving an attestation address using the public attest key; verifying the existence of the attestation transaction at the attestation address in the centralized or distributed ledger; and upon verification of the existence of the attestation transaction, completing the business transaction.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF PROVIDING VERIFICATION OF THE IDENTITY OF A DIGITAL ENTITY USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
Methods and systems of providing verification of the identity of a digital entity are provided, including receiving information and a public key of the digital entity, wherein the information has been previously attested to in an attestation transaction stored within a centralized or distributed ledger at an attestation address, the centralized or distributed ledger providing a record of transactions; deriving an attestation address using the information and the public key of the digital entity; verifying the existence of the attestation transaction at the attestation address in the centralized or distributed ledger and verifying that the attestation transaction has not been revoked; receiving at the processor associated with the user a cryptographic challenge nonce signed by the digital entity's private key; and verifying the digital entity's identity with the cryptographic challenge nonce signed by the digital entity's key.
MOBILE PAYMENT SYSTEM
The present document describes a payment system that processes transactions originating from mobile phones, cellular devices, Web browsers, or other mobile devices. A customer initiates a transaction by sending a payment request via SMS, HTTPS, or other network protocol. The payment request includes an amount to be paid and a phone number associated with a recipient. The payment system confirms the identity of the customer, and identifies the recipient based at least in part on the phone number. The payment system supports the fulfillment of payment requests with various combinations of account balances, credit accounts, discounts, and loyalty points. The payment system also provides various merchant features such as ticket vending, automatic discovery of payees and payers, management of merchant terminals, and payroll processing.
