Beverage Dispenser Systems and Methods
A cartridge adaptor system may include a puncturing device; a nozzle adaptor including: a puncture port configured to receive the puncturing device; a nozzle coupling portion configured to releasably couple to a beverage dispenser nozzle; and a cartridge coupling portion configured to releasably couple to a cartridge containing a beverage ingredient; and a cartridge holster having a receiving portion for receiving a portion of the cartridge. The puncturing device may be configured to puncture the cartridge thereby releasing the beverage ingredient.
System and method for using cardholder context and preferences in transaction authorization
A method and system for processing a payment authorization request associated with a payment card is provided. The method comprises determining a cardholder's context based on transmissions received from a user device associated with a cardholder using the payment card; determining a transaction context based on analysis of the payment authorization request; determining at least one transaction authorization preference associated with the payment card; performing a transaction authorization process to generate a transaction authorization response based on the at least one transaction authorization preference wherein information in the transaction context is used as a hint to selectively guide application of the transaction authorization preference.
Method and system for authorizing card account transactions by geographic region
A method and system for authorizing card account transactions by geographic region by providing data for a user interface displaying geographic regions and merchant locations each corresponding to the location of a merchant where a transaction using a card account may be initiated, receiving a user interface selection representing a request to authorize or restrict card account transactions, receiving authorization requests for desired transactions, and authorizing or restricting the transactions in accordance with the request.
Systems and methods for detecting transaction card fraud based on geographic patterns of purchases
A computer-implemented method for detecting potentially fraudulent cardholder transactions is implemented by a fraud detection computer system in communication with a memory. The method includes identifying a first home location for a first cardholder, identifying an expected range of travel relative to the first home location for the first cardholder when making a typical financial transaction in at least one merchant category, receiving transaction data associated with a first financial transaction, retrieving the first home location based on the cardholder data and a merchant location for the first merchant based on the merchant data, calculating a distance of travel between the first merchant location and the cardholder home location, comparing the calculated distance of travel to the expected range of travel, and flagging the first financial transaction as potentially fraudulent upon determining that the calculated distance of travel exceeds the expected range of travel.
Secure transactions using a point of sale device
Systems and methods are provided for secure transactions according to one or more embodiments. According to an embodiment, a method for providing secure transactions comprises initiating a transaction via a point of sale device having a one time password generator. The method also comprises generating at least one password by the point of sale device. The method further comprises associating the at least one password with account information. The method further comprises transmitting the password associated with the account information to a remote location. If the transmitted password matches predetermined associated information at the remote location, the method further comprises confirming the transaction.
Payment recipient verification
Methods and systems are provided for sending payments electronically, wherein the user's certainty that the payments are being sent to the correct recipient are substantially enhanced. The user can request information from the recipient to verify the email address or phone number of the recipient. A communication can be sent to the recipient and the communication can request that the recipient send information that verifies the identity of the recipient to the user. For example, the communication can request that the recipient send a picture of the recipient, an audio voice file of the recipient, or a handwriting sample to the user.
System and method for tracking customer movements in a customer service environment
System and methods for tracking transaction flow through a customer service area. The present invention provides automated, non-intrusive tracking of individuals, based on a series of still image frames obtained from one or more colour sensors. Images of individuals are extracted from each frame and the datasets resulting from the cropped images are compared across multiple frames. The datasets are grouped together into groups called tracklets, which can be further merged into customer sets. Various pieces of metadata related to individuals' movement (such as customer location and the duration of each transaction state) can be derived from the customer sets. Additionally, individual images may be anonymized into mathematical representations.
System, method, and computer program product for dynamic authorization response timeout
Systems, methods, and computer program products may receive, from a merchant system, an authorization request associated with a transaction; communicate the authorization request to an issuer system and initiate a response timer associated with the transaction; in response to the response timer satisfying a predetermined response time amount without receiving, from the issuer system, an authorization response associated with the authorization request, determine an extended response time; and in response to receiving the authorization response from the issuer system before the response timer satisfies a sum of the extended response time amount and the predetermined response time amount, communicate, to the merchant system, the authorization response.
Training a machine learning system for transaction data processing
A method of training a supervised machine learning system to detect anomalies within transaction data is described. The method includes obtaining a training set of data samples; assigning a label indicating an absence of an anomaly to unlabelled data samples in the training set; partitioning the data of the data samples in the training set into two feature sets, a first feature set representing observable features and a second feature set representing context features; generating synthetic data samples by combining features from the two feature sets that respectively relate to two different uniquely identifiable entities; assigning a label indicating a presence of an anomaly to the synthetic data samples; augmenting the training set with the synthetic data samples; and training a supervised machine learning system with the augmented training set and the assigned labels.
Automated teller machine (ATM) including an application programming interface (API)-equipped, embedded mobile computer
An ATM system includes a back-end server, an ATM central processing unit (ATM CPU) that receives information relating to the ATM system and a mobile computer. The mobile computer provides a CPU (MC CPU) and a keypad. The mobile computer may also provide a touch screen configured to display an initial ATM display. The ATM system also includes an interface system for interfacing between the ATM CPU and MC CPU. The back-end server formats and transmits to the ATM an API call. The API call requests a location of the user, ATM device information, and identification information of the user. The mobile computer is configured to respond to the API call by providing the location, the ATM device information, and the identification information of the user to the back-end server.
