METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF EXECUTING A BUSINESS TRANSACTION FROM A MERCHANT USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
A method and system for executing a business transaction from a merchant is provided, including receiving at a processor associated with the merchant a code representing information of a user, wherein the code is provided by an output device for a processor associated with the user, and wherein the information has been previously attested to in an attestation transaction stored within a centralized or distributed ledger at an attestation address; converting the code to the information of the user; deriving a public attest key by using the information of the user; deriving an attestation address using the public attest key; verifying the existence of the attestation transaction at the attestation address in the centralized or distributed ledger; and upon verification of the existence of the attestation transaction, completing the business transaction.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING ATTESTATION OF INFORMATION USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
Methods and apparatus for providing authentication of information of a user are described. Upon validation of this information, a first hash function is applied to the user's information to create a hash. A public attest key is generated by combining the hash of the user's information with one or more public keys. An attestation address is generated based on the public attest key. A signed transaction which includes the attest key is communicated for storage in a centralized or distributed ledger at the attestation address.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF PROVIDING VERIFICATION OF INFORMATION USING A CENTRALIZED OR DISTRIBUTED LEDGER
A method and system of providing verification of information of a user relating to an attestation transaction is provided, and includes sending a request for information of the user, wherein the information has been previously attested to in an attestation transaction stored within a centralized or distributed ledger at an attestation address; receiving at a processor associated with a verifier the information of the user; sending a cryptographic challenge nonce; receiving at the processor associated with the verifier the cryptographic challenge nonce signed by the user's private key; verifying user identity with the cryptographic challenge nonce signed by the user's private key; deriving a public attest key by using the information of the user; deriving an attestation address using the public attest key; and verifying the existence of the attestation transaction at the attestation address in the centralized or distributed ledger.
Method and apparatus for fuel island authorization for trucking industry using proximity sensors
A fuel authorization program based on equipping fuel station, fuel pumps, and vehicles with components to enable automatic fuel authorization for enrolled vehicles. The program includes fuel pumps including a pump transmitting sensor that automatically emits a pump ID. As a vehicle pulls in next to the pump a vehicle coupling receiving sensor detects the pump ID signal and a proximity link is created. The vehicle sensor passes the pump ID via hardwire or Bluetooth to vehicle fuel authorization processor (which can be part of a telematics device). The vehicle processor transmits the pump ID (and any fuel authorization credentials needed, such as a PIN or VIN) via WI-FI to a Station processor for fuel vendor authorization. If approved, the pump is enabled. As the vehicle moves away the coupling sensor link is broken and the vehicle transmits a disconnect message via Wi-Fi and the pump is disabled.
System and Method for Distributed Real Time Authorization of Payment Transactions
Systems and methods enable the real-time authorization of payment transactions initiated by personal and mobile computing devices. In one embodiment, a financial account server associated with a payment recipient, or payee, is configured to receive a payment data envelope from a payee computing device. The payment data envelope can further include information that allows for the authentication of the payee and payer identities as well as payment restrictions or instructions. The payee financial account server processes the payment data envelope and transmits the envelope to a financial account server associated with the payer. The payer financial server authenticates the payer identification, authorizes the payment transaction, and transmits a transaction status message to the payee financial server, which in turn transmits the message to the payee computing device.
AUTHENTICATING ACTIVITIES OF ACCOUNTS
A system, a medium, and a method involve a communication interface of a server device that receives first activity data associated with a first activity of an account and second activity data associated with a second activity of the account. A processor of the server device determines a first location of the first activity from the first activity data and a second location of the second activity from the second activity data. An authentication circuit of the server device determines a first authentication of the first activity based at least on the first activity data. The authentication circuit determines a second authentication of the second activity based on at least one of the first authentication, the first location, and the second location. A transmitter of the communication interface transmits an indication of the second authentication to a client device.
LOCATION BASED AUTHENTICATION
A portable consumer device that is used to conduct a transaction at a merchant is authenticated. Information provided to a server computer includes locations of a merchant and a mobile communication device possessed by a consumer. If the location of the mobile communication device corresponds to the location of the merchant, the portable consumer device that is used to conduct the transaction is authenticated.
System and method for providing coupon-less discounts based on a user broadcasted message
The systems and methods provide an offer to a user that may be accepted by the user through an action by the user. The action may be, for example, a broadcast through a social media channel. The parameters of the offer may defined that the broadcast comprise an offer identifier and may require that a user take subsequent action to fulfill the offer. The systems and methods may also be configured to monitor one or more broadcast channels, identify the source of a broadcast, identify transaction accounts associated with the source, evaluate transaction data associated with the transaction account, and provide benefits to the source and/or the transaction account.
System and Methods for Secure Wireless Payment Transactions When a Wireless Network is Unavailable
Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed which allow a mobile device user to complete financial transactions even when the mobile device is not connected to a wireless network. The systems, methods, and devices of the present disclosure may utilize a combination of an encrypted lockbox containing out of network payment codes on the mobile device and a matching set of out of network payment codes stored on a server of a payment authority.
