Fraud prevention systems and methods for selectively generating virtual account numbers

Disclosed embodiments may include a method that includes receiving first identifying information associated with a first user from a computing device; determining a score based on the first identifying information; determining whether the score is less than a threshold; pseudo-randomly generate and transmit a one-time use number to the computing device when the score is less than the threshold. When the score is greater than or equal to the threshold, the method may include transmitting, to the computing device, second instructions prompting the first user to provide second identifying information. Responsive to receiving the second identifying information of the first user, the method may include determining that the second identifying information matches stored second identifying information. Responsive to the second identifying information matching stored second identifying information, the method may include pseudo-randomly generate and transmit the one-time use number to the computing device.

Disclosed embodiments may include a system that may receive first level authentication data from a first user, identify a first user device associated with the first user, and determine whether a current location of the first user device is within a predetermined proximity of a first computing device. In response to the determination, the system may detect one or more objects within the predetermined proximity of the first computing device using the one or more positional sensors. The system may determine that at least one of the one or more objects is associated with a human, and in response, trigger a security measure. The system may transmit an indication of the triggered security measure to the first computing device, and may transmit instructions to the first user device configured to cause the first user device to provide an alert to the first user.

Systems and methods for validating an instrument

Disclosed are methods and systems for validating instruments. For instance, a request to generate a cashier's check may be received from an application executing on a drawer's computing device. Request information may be stored within a data storage entry for the check, and a code to be printed on the check may be generated to include at least a portion of the request information. Instructions may be provided to a printing system to cause the check to be printed with the code, where the printed check is invalid. Instructions may be provided to the application and/or printing system to cause display of a prompt to facilitate a reading of the code to validate the check. When information within the code is read by and received from the printing system, the check may be validated, which triggers a transfer of funds from the drawer's account. Otherwise, the check may remain invalid.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UTILIZING LOCATION INFORMATION WHEN AUTHORIZING A PAYMENT REQUEST
20230196332 · 2023-06-22 · ·

A method includes receiving, by a payment server, a request for a payment from a mobile communication device, generating a request to verify the location of the mobile communication device, and, in response to receiving the location of the mobile communication device, determining whether or not to authorize the requested payment.

In-store mobile payment
09846877 · 2017-12-19 · ·

An in-store mobile payment system and method can facilitate the use of a user's mobile device to facilitate payment for products purchased at a store. The user can take a picture of a product being purchased or can take a picture of a bar code for the product. The picture can be taken with the user's mobile device and can be used to identify the product. A payment provider can provide a unique PIN code for the transaction. The user can enter the PIN code into a keypad of the merchant and/or can swipe a card with a card reader of the merchant to complete the transaction. Thus, the user can avoid the inconvenience of waiting in line at a checkout counter and the merchant can reduce the store's overhead by eliminating at least some checkout counters and checkout clerks.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR MANAGING INFORMATION BETWEEN MERCHANTS, INTERMEDIARIES AND/OR END USERS
20230196401 · 2023-06-22 ·

Embodiments relate to methods and systems for managing information between merchants, intermediaries, and/or end users. The method includes providing a first detectable identifier for a first unit of a product. First detectable identifier is different from a second detectable identifier for a second unit of the product. First detectable identifier includes instructions which, when detected by a user device, causes the user device to send a redemption request. Responsive to receiving the redemption request from a user device, performing a redemption process. Redemption process includes obtaining an information payload for the first unit of the product. Information payload includes a redemption reward; and a redemption status. Redemption status is an unredeemed status or redeemed status. Redemption process includes identifying the redemption status for the information payload. Responsive to a determination that the redemption status is the unredeemed status, the redemption process includes transferring, to the user, the redemption reward.

METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR REAL-TIME FRAUD DECISIONING BASED UPON USER-DEFINED VALID ACTIVITY LOCATION DATA

A computer-implemented method for real-time fraudulent activity verification, comprising: displaying, on a user device, a first notification which prompts entry of a user-selected geographic area, the user-selected geographic area defining a valid region for processing of transactions associated with a user; receiving, by the user device, user-defined geographic data, the user-defined geographic data specifying at least one user-selected geographic area and defining the valid region for processing of transactions; transmitting, by the user device, the user-defined geographic data along with user data, the user data identifying the user device or the user; receiving, the user device, a second notification, the second notification being an authentication request message received in response to a proposed transaction associated with a user identifier related to the user; displaying, by the user device, the second notification; receiving, by the user device, user-provided authentication data; and transmitting, by the user device, the user-provided authentication data.

ADAPTABLE QR CODES TO LAUNCH CUSTOMIZED EXPERIENCES

Systems, computer-implemented methods, apparatus, and/or computer program products that can facilitate adaptable QR codes to launch customized experiences are provided. In various embodiments, a system can receive, from a client device, a quick response (QR) code, a client identifier, and location data associated with the client device. In various aspects, the system can identify, from a plurality of merchants, a first merchant that corresponds to the QR code, based on identifying that the first merchant corresponds to the location data. In various instances, the system can identify, from a plurality of client profiles, a first client profile that corresponds to the client identifier. In various cases, the system can identify a digital content based on the first merchant and the first client profile. In various aspects, the system can cause the digital content to be provided to the client device.

Geographic Location Based Mobile Transaction Adapter

Arrangements for transaction adapter control are provided. In some aspects, a user device may connect to a network in a current geographic location. The user computing device may detect that a change in geographic location has occurred based on the current geographic location. Responsive to detecting that the change in geographic location has occurred, a mobile transaction adapter associated with or unique to the current geographic location may be downloaded to the user computing device. The mobile transaction adapter may be a plug-in component to a mobile payment application on the user computing device. A request to process a transaction may be received via the mobile payment application on the user device. Upon receiving the request to process the transaction, the mobile transaction adapter may be activated and the request may be routed to the mobile transaction adapter. The requested transaction may then be processed via the mobile transaction adapter.
