Dynamic contactless payment processing based on real-time contextual information

Arrangements for payment and recommendation control are provided. In some aspects, contextual data may be received from a user. For instance, data such as calendar data may be received and an event may be identified. Based on the event, a pre-authorized amount may be identified for payment associated with the event. The system may receive a request for payment and event details. The amount may be compared to the pre-authorized amount and, if more than the pre-authorized amount, a request for payment authorization may be transmitted to a user device. If the amount is not more than the pre-authorized amount, expected location data of the user may be received and current location data of the user may be requested from a user device. The location data may be compared and, if the locations match, the payment may be authorized and automatically processed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USER AUTHENTICATION TO VERIFY TRANSACTION LEGITIMACY
20230135488 · 2023-05-04 ·

The disclosed technology relates to improved user authentication to verify transaction legitimacy. An exemplary system may send a request for a current image to a mobile device associated with a user. The request may include an indication of a requested action to be performed by the user. The system may classify an action depicted in the current image obtained in response to the request. A determination may be made as to whether the depicted action corresponds to the requested action based on the classification. When it does correspond, the system may compare facial feature(s) recognized in obtained past image(s) associated with the user to a facial feature(s) recognized in the current image to determine when the user is depicted in both the past image(s) and the current image. When the user is depicted in both the past image(s) and the current image, the system may allow the transaction to proceed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING AND USING VIRTUAL CARD NUMBERS

A system may receive a first timestamp associated with first click data at a first website associated with a first merchant, a first referring URL, and a first checkout URL, responsive to the user device navigating to the first checkout URL via the first referring URL, determine whether the first referring URL and the first checkout URL have first domains that respectively match previous domains of a previous referring URL and a previous checkout URL beyond a predetermined matching threshold, and based on the first referring URL and the first checkout URL having the first domains that respectively match the previous domains of the previous referring URL and the previous checkout URL beyond the predetermined matching threshold, cause the web browser plugin of the user device to display, in a dynamic GUI, a first virtual card number associated with the previous domains to complete a first transaction.

REAL-TIME MISAPPROPRIATION DETECTION AND EXPOSURE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM

Real-time prevention of misappropriation and/or exposure assessment posed by a transaction at a POS terminal, especially those transactions in which it is not possible to otherwise definitively determine that a user/transactor is present at the POS terminal. AI is relied on, such as, a neural network implementing sequence modeling, to predict the likelihood that a user/transactor is present at the POS terminal. Location of a user is tracked via a designated mobile communication device and in instances in which a location of the mobile communication cannot be identified at the time of the transaction, the invention performs analysis based at least on the last-in-time location of the mobile communication device, the user's travel route leading up to the last-in-time location of the mobile communication device and other factors to predict a likelihood that the user is located at the POS terminal. As a result of the predicted likelihood either the transaction is automatically decisioned or the user/transactor is alerted and requested to their approve or reject/deny the transaction.

PERSON TRANSACTION TRACKING
20230230059 · 2023-07-20 ·

Images are captured of a customer during a transaction at a transaction terminal along with images associated with items of the transaction and any bags or cart used to hold the items. The images are processed to track any movement and locations of the customer, items, bags, and cart relative to a known location of the transaction terminal. When a transaction payment is required for the transaction and movement is detected in a direction that is moving away from the transaction terminal before a payment notification is received for the transaction, one or more alerts are raised as an indication to staff and/or security systems of a potential in-progress walk-away theft.

TERMINAL DEVICE, PERSONAL AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND PERSONAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD
20230021132 · 2023-01-19 ·

A technology which is highly safe and furthermore highly convenient in personal authentications via a mobile terminal is provided. A terminal device 200 of the present invention includes: a position determining section 271 that determines a position of the terminal device 200 at predetermined time intervals, and accumulates the position as position information; a movement history generating section 272 that generates a movement history by using the position information accumulated in a predetermined period, and stores the movement history as movement history information; a registration processing section 276 that transmits, for registration, the movement history information to a personal authentication apparatus; and an authentication requesting section 279 that makes an authentication request to the personal authentication apparatus 310 by using the movement history information stored after the transmission by the registration processing section 276 to the personal authentication apparatus 310.

Adaptable QR codes to launch customized experiences

Systems, computer-implemented methods, apparatus, and/or computer program products that can facilitate adaptable QR codes to launch customized experiences are provided. In various embodiments, a system can receive, from a client device, a quick response (QR) code, a client identifier, and location data associated with the client device. In various aspects, the system can identify, from a plurality of merchants, a first merchant that corresponds to the QR code, based on identifying that the first merchant corresponds to the location data. In various instances, the system can identify, from a plurality of client profiles, a first client profile that corresponds to the client identifier. In various cases, the system can identify a digital content based on the first merchant and the first client profile. In various aspects, the system can cause the digital content to be provided to the client device.

Payment alert system and techniques based on geographic footprint

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer-readable program code executable by a processor to retrieve a customer data record including bill payment activity associated with a provider account for a customer of a financial institution; and define a geographical footprint for the customer. The geographical footprint may be defined by identifying a customer set including the customer from a plurality of customers of a provider of the provider account, having customer records indicating geographic proximity, and determining that a predetermined fraction of the customer set are associated with a common billing cycle for the provider. The computer-readable program code may be executable by the processor to send a bill payment alert for transmission to the customer via electronic communication or telephonic communication, when the bill payment activity meets a threshold condition, wherein the threshold condition is determined at least in part by the geographical footprint.

Transaction-enabled systems and methods for smart contracts

An example transaction-enabled system may include a smart contract wrapper to access a distributed ledger comprising intellectual property (IP) licensing terms corresponding to IP assets, wherein the IP licensing terms include an apportionment of royalties among owning entities in the distributed ledger. The smart contract wrapper may interpret an IP description value and an IP addition request, and, in response to the IP addition request and the IP description value, to add the apportionment of royalties corresponding to the IP description value. At least one of the plurality of IP assets comprises an instruction set and an operation on the distributed ledger provides provable access to the instruction set. A royalty apportionment wrapper apportions royalties from at least one royalty generating element to owning entities in response to the IP licensing terms.

Method and system for risk scoring anonymized transactions

A method for risk scoring a blockchain transaction includes: storing blockchain data associated with a blockchain, the data including a plurality of blocks, each block including a block header and transaction values, each transaction value including a sending address, recipient address, and transaction amount; receiving a new transaction value related to a proposed blockchain transaction and a node identifier associated with a node included in a blockchain network associated with the blockchain, the new transaction value including a user address, transacting address, and blockchain amount; identifying transaction values in the blockchain where the sending address or recipient address is associated with a transacting cryptographic key pair also associated with the transacting address; determining a risk score for the proposed blockchain transaction based on at least the data included in each of the identified transaction values and the new transaction value; and transmitting the determined risk score.
