Method for instant issuance card production
The invention provides a method that allows an issuer system, e.g. of a bank, to have generated a plurality of anonymous accounts and cards for working up a stock and to only personalize them individually if required. In the personalization step at the card issuer, e.g. in the bank branch, a printing of the back side does not have to be performed, instead all the necessary printing of the back side is already effected at the card manufacturer during the manufacturing of the anonymous card. As a result, a simple, low-cost printer without a back-side printing option can be utilized for the personalization of the anonymous card.
GENERATING A RANDOM VERIFICATION CODE FOR A TRANSACTION
A device receives, from a user device, a request to generate a verification code for a transaction associated with a user of the user device, and receives user profile information associated with a transaction card to be used for the transaction. The device generates a random verification code for the transaction based on the request and the user profile information, and authenticates the random verification code, based on the user profile information, to generate an authenticated random verification code. The device provides the authenticated random verification code to the user device, and receives transaction information, including the authenticated random verification code, from a merchant device associated with the transaction. The device validates the transaction based on the transaction information, and provides, to the merchant device associated with the transaction, information indicating that the transaction is validated.
CARD-NOT-PRESENT TRANSACTIONS WITH CARDHOLDER-CHOSEN CVV
A cardholder enters (305) payment information and a freely-selected transaction CVV in a merchant system (20). A payment system (30) receives (400) a request from the merchant system including the transaction CVV and transaction information, and sends (405) a transaction authorization request to a cardholder device (13). The transaction information are displayed (310) on the cardholder device and invites the cardholder to enter the transaction CVV for confirmation purpose. In response, the cardholder enters (315) a confirmation CVV. The payment system approves (240, 415) the transaction when the transaction and confirmation CVVs are the same. As a result, the CVV can have a short life and be changed at each transaction, thereby increasing the security of the transactions. Also, PCI certification constraints on servers are reduced since no issuer master key is required for the CVVs. Lastly, the cardholder has more control on the transaction validation.
Systems and methods for code display and use
Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and methods that allow users to use their communication devices to perform transactions (e.g., payment transactions, access transactions, etc.). To complete a transaction, a resource provider electronically generates a code representing transaction data and displays it on an access device. The user scans the code with his or her communication device using a camera associated with the communication device, for example. The code is interpreted by an application on the communication device. The user may request and receive a token at the communication device corresponding to sensitive information selected to perform the transaction (e.g., a primary account number). The user may then provide the token and the transaction data via the communication device to a server computer, which may facilitate completion of the transaction between the user and the resource provider using the transaction data and the token.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AUTHENTICATION FOR HIGH-RISK COMMUNICATIONS
An authentication method includes assigning a risk status to a request received from a remote interaction system, transmitting a notification communication to a device associated with the request, monitoring interaction data from an interaction network, and identifying, from the monitored interaction data, authentication interaction information, the authentication interaction information including a coded sequence and a predetermined authentication identifier. The authentication method also includes comparing the coded sequence in the authentication interaction information to an expected coded sequence and transmitting a verification communication after determining the coded sequence in the authentication interaction information matches the expected coded sequence.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPTIMIZING TRANSACTION CONVERSION RATE USING MEASURED FEEDBACK
A method for optimizing transaction authorization conversion rates using measured feedback includes retrieving payment transaction parameters and authorization results for a plurality of past payment transactions from a database, generating a transaction success model comprising authorization success factors for each of a plurality of payment transaction parameters using data science methods for statistical inference based on the retrieved payment transaction parameters and authorization results, receiving, at an acquirer processor, a payment transaction from a merchant, modifying one or more parameters of the payment transaction according to the generated transaction success model, and submitting the modified payment transaction to a financial institution for processing.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPTIMIZING TRANSACTION AUTHORIZATION CONVERSION RATE
A method for optimizing transaction authorization conversion rates includes retrieving payment transaction parameters and authorization results for a plurality of past payment transactions, generating authorization success factors for each of a plurality of payment transaction parameters based on the retrieved payment transaction parameters and authorization results, receiving, at an acquirer processor, a payment transaction from a merchant, modifying one or more parameters of the payment transaction according to the generated authorization success factors, and submitting the modified payment transaction to a financial institution for processing.
Dynamic security code for a card transaction
A card (35) generates a dynamic security code for a card transaction, e.g. a card not present (CNP) transaction. The card (35) receives a request (83) to generate a dynamic security code from an electronic device (10) external to the card via an external card interface (330). The card (35) receives a message (87) comprising a time via the external card interface (330). The card (35) computes (89) the dynamic security code based on the time and a key (dCVV-key) stored at the card. The card (35) sends the dynamic security code (90) to the electronic device (10) via the external card interface (330) for display on a display (14) of the electronic device (10). The card (35) may determine (88) an authenticity of the message comprising the time.
CARD ISSUING WITH RESTRICTED VIRTUAL NUMBERS
Various embodiments are directed to applying, via contactless card authentication, one or more restrictions to a virtual card number and generating the card number for use by a recipient. The one or more restrictions may be specifically personalized to the recipient and may include, for example, a merchant restriction, an amount restriction, a time period restriction, or a location restriction. The generated virtual card number along with the applied one or more restrictions may be consumed in various ways, such as writing the number to a blank card, transmitting the number directly to the recipient's computing device, etc., all via near-field communication.
Systems and methods for contactless smart card authentication
A method of authenticating a smart card with a mobile device is disclosed. The method includes receiving and underwriting a new payment card application at a card issuer computing system. Upon completing the underwriting process and approving the new payment card application, the card issuer computing system issues an enabling token to the mobile device, which allows the mobile device to complete transactions based on a new payment card.
