Continuous authentication for digital services based on contactless card positioning
Various embodiments are generally directed to continuous authentication of a user to a digital service based on activity of a contactless card positioned proximate to a computing device on which the digital service operates. For example, a series of periodic status messages may be provided between a client device and the contactless card to verify whether the contactless card remains active, wherein authorization to access the digital service continues while the contactless card is active, and terminates when the contactless card is inactive.
System and Method for Web-Based Payments
A computer implemented method for enabling a payment transaction in a computer system executed at least partially by a computer of a user connected via a communication network to a remote computer comprising a database of payment-related data, said method comprising the steps of: a) accessing the payment-related data of a user from within the database, wherein a web browser extension on the user's computer is invoked by the user clicking on a web browser extension graphical user interface (GUI) widget displayed on the user's computer, wherein secure network access is established to access the user's payment-related data from within the database; b) presenting the user's payment-related data via a pop-up window displayed on the user's computer, without requiring application programming interface integration with a website or a web application of a payee, and without requiring a form re-direct away from the website or the web application of the payee; c) enabling the payment transaction, wherein the web browser extension invokes an auto-complete function to automatically populate fields of a checkout form presented from the website or the web application of the payee with the user's payment-related data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ORDERING AND PAYMENT
Systems and methods for product ordering and payment are disclosed. Via use of the system, ordering and payment for items and services is simplified, secured, and made more convenient. Exemplary systems suggest orders, for example based on the location of the user, health information, and the like, and may automatically place orders with merchants. Payment may be made directly to the merchant from a user device, or indirectly through a payment issuer.
Systems and methods for instant merchant activation for secured in-person payments at point of sale
A new approach is proposed to support instant merchant activation for secured in-person payment at a point of sale (POS) of a merchant. When a customer initiates an in-person payment request at a payment initiation device associated with the merchant, the payment initiation device collects both sensitive and non-sensitive portions of electronic payment transaction data for the request and encrypts the sensitive data portion for secured transmission. A payment gateway in the payment transaction process relays the data and the payment request to a payment processor for approval by an issuer and transmits only the non-sensitive portion of the data to a payment service engine for risk analysis if the payment request is approved by the issuer. The payment service engine determines if the payment request is at high risk based on risk analysis of non-sensitive portion of the data and notifies the payment initiation device and/or merchant accordingly.
Systems and methods for optimizing transaction conversion rate using machine learning
A method for optimizing transaction authorization conversion rates using machine learning includes retrieving payment transaction parameters and authorization results for a plurality of past payment transactions from a database, generating a transaction success model comprising authorization success factors for each of a plurality of payment transaction parameters using a machine learning training phase based on the retrieved payment transaction parameters and authorization results, receiving, at an acquirer processor, a payment transaction from a merchant, modifying one or more parameters of the payment transaction according to the generated transaction success model, and submitting the modified payment transaction to a financial institution for processing.
Authorization systems based on protected data
The disclosure describes techniques to protect personal information stored on an electronic card with which an owner of the electronic card may be authorized to perform a transaction. For example, a point-of-sale (POS) device may receive protected data generated by an electronic card where the protected data may be used by a personal information server to identify the owner of the electronic card. The POS devices sends the protected data and transaction information to an authorization server that sends the protected data to a personal information server. The owner's personal information can be obtained or derived from the protected data by the personal information server and the personal information is sent to the authorization server. The authorization server can determine whether a transaction is authorized or unauthorized based on the transaction information obtained from the POS device and the personal information obtained from the personal information server.
TAP CARD TO SECURELY GENERATE CARD DATA TO COPY TO CLIPBOARD
A processor of a computing device may receive, from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram. An operating system (OS) executing on the processor may open an application based on the URL. The application may transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive, based on the server verifying the cryptogram, an account number. The application may store the account number in a memory of the device.
Systems and methods for configuration information autofill at a browser linked with user accounts
There are provided systems and methods for a payment information autofill mechanism that links a browser application with a user account such that a payment page at the browser application can be automatically filled based on the link. Specifically, the autofill mechanism establishes a link between a browser application running on a user device and a user account associated with the user that is stored at the server. When the user engages with the browser application to conduct a transaction on a merchant website, an application programming interface (API) call can be made to retrieve user virtual card information for automatically populating the payment data fields at the transaction page.
NFC ENHANCED AUGMENTED REALITY INFORMATION OVERLAYS
Various embodiments are directed to overlaying relevant product information in augmented reality via the use of near-field communication (NFC) and a product selection system. A user may authenticate into an application or user profile. Information about the user in the user profile may be used to determine which products are relevant to the user. Information related to the relevant products may then be displayed to the user in augmented reality, which improves at least the overall shopping and in-store experience.
TOKEN PROCESSING WITH SELECTIVE DE-TOKENIZATION FOR PROXIMITY BASED ACCESS DEVICE INTERACTIONS
A method includes providing an initial communication, by an access device to a user device. The access device can receive the user identifier and the access token and receive a secret associated with the user. The access device can determine, using the user identifier and/or the access token, if the transaction is authorized by an authorizing entity computer associated with the access device or by an authorizing entity not associated with the access device. If the transaction is authorized by the authorizing entity computer associated with the access device, the access device can transmit an authorization request message comprising the user identifier, the secret, and the access token to the authorizing entity computer. The authorizing entity computer validates the secret, retrieves a real credential of the user using the user identifier, and authorizes the transaction.
