Systems and methods for optimizing transaction authorization conversion rate
A method for optimizing transaction authorization conversion rates includes retrieving payment transaction parameters and authorization results for a plurality of past payment transactions, generating authorization success factors for each of a plurality of payment transaction parameters based on the retrieved payment transaction parameters and authorization results, receiving, at an acquirer processor, a payment transaction from a merchant, modifying one or more parameters of the payment transaction according to the generated authorization success factors, and submitting the modified payment transaction to a financial institution for processing.
NFC enhanced augmented reality information overlays
Various embodiments are directed to overlaying relevant product information in augmented reality via the use of near-field communication (NFC) and a product selection system. A user may authenticate into an application or user profile. Information about the user in the user profile may be used to determine which products are relevant to the user. Information related to the relevant products may then be displayed to the user in augmented reality, which improves at least the overall shopping and in-store experience.
Methods and systems for authentication for high-risk communications
An authentication method includes assigning a risk status to a request received from a remote interaction system, transmitting a notification communication to a device associated with the request, monitoring interaction data from an interaction network, and identifying, from the monitored interaction data, authentication interaction information, the authentication interaction information including a coded sequence and a predetermined authentication identifier. The authentication method also includes comparing the coded sequence in the authentication interaction information to an expected coded sequence and transmitting a verification communication after determining the coded sequence in the authentication interaction information matches the expected coded sequence.
MERCHANT TRANSACTION MIRRORING FOR PERSONAL POINT OF SALE (PPOS) FOR CARD PRESENT E-COMMERCE AND IN VEHICLE TRANSACTION
It is desirable for a merchant to not store customer PCI (Payment Card Industry) data in the merchant’s system, because this would reduce cost and risk to the merchant. But the merchant still wants access to the customer primary account number (PAN) and other PCI data elements for customer authentication, customer relationship management, etc. Therefore, this specification discloses systems and methods that allow a pPOS (personal Point of Sale) device to create a mirror of the original transaction and provide that to the merchant. Then the merchant would still have access to the customer PAN and other PCI data elements, but there are no PCI or payment data in the mirror transaction, so cost and risk are reduced for the merchant.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPTIMIZING TRANSACTION CONVERSION RATE USING MACHINE LEARNING
A method for optimizing transaction authorization conversion rates using machine learning includes retrieving payment transaction parameters and authorization results for a plurality of past payment transactions from a database, generating a transaction success model comprising authorization success factors for each of a plurality of payment transaction parameters using a machine learning training phase based on the retrieved payment transaction parameters and authorization results, receiving, at an acquirer processor, a payment transaction from a merchant, modifying one or more parameters of the payment transaction according to the generated transaction success model, and submitting the modified payment transaction to a financial institution for processing.
Using on-demand applications to generate virtual numbers for a contactless card to securely autofill forms
A first application may output a form comprising payment fields. An operating system (OS) may receive, from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) comprising encrypted data. A second application received from the URL by the OS may be executed. The second application may transmit the encrypted data to an authentication server, the authentication server to verify the encrypted data. The second application may receive, from a virtual account number server, a virtual account number, an expiration date associated with the virtual account number, and a CVV associated with the virtual account number. The second application may provide the virtual account number, expiration date, and CVV to an autofill service of the OS. The autofill service of the OS may autofill the virtual account number the payment fields of the first application.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CALL CORRELATION
There is provided a method of correlating a telephone call between a first party and a second party with information that is to be used in a third party service implemented in relation to the telephone call. The method comprises routing telephone calls involving the first party via a third party service system that implements the third party service. The method further comprises, at a communication management system of the first party, determining call identification data for the telephone call and session data associated with a session of the third party service to be implemented in relation to the telephone call, and sending the call identification data and the session data to the third party service system; and, at the third party service system, receiving the call identification data and the session data from the communication management system, using the received call identification data to identify the telephone call, using the received session data to determine the information that is be used in the third party service, and correlating the information with the identified telephone call.
Application-based point of sale system in mobile operating systems
Application-based point of sale systems in mobile operating systems. A first application may generate a first URL directed to a second application, a parameter of the first URL comprising an identifier of the first application. A mobile operating system (OS) may access the first URL to open the second application. The second application may receive, from a server, a virtual account number (VAN). The second application may initiate a server on a port and generate a second URL directed to the first application, a parameter of the second URL comprising the port. The OS may access the second URL to open the first application. The first application may establish a connection with the server using the specified port and receive the VAN from the second application via the connection. The first application may autofill the VAN to a form field of a payment form in the first application.
Token processing with selective de-tokenization for proximity based access device interactions
A method includes providing an initial communication, by an access device to a user device. The access device can receive the user identifier and the access token and receive a secret associated with the user. The access device can determine, using the user identifier and/or the access token, if the transaction is authorized by an authorizing entity computer associated with the access device or by an authorizing entity not associated with the access device. If the transaction is authorized by the authorizing entity computer associated with the access device, the access device can transmit an authorization request message comprising the user identifier, the secret, and the access token to the authorizing entity computer. The authorizing entity computer validates the secret, retrieves a real credential of the user using the user identifier, and authorizes the transaction.
STORED-VALUE CARD MANAGEMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM
A computerized system for activating, issuing and otherwise managing transactions and activities pertaining to stored-value cards over a communications network. A central information database is provided for storing stored-value cardholder and card purchaser information received directly from respective stored-value cardholders and card purchasers PCs through a universal central processor via respective communication gateways. The central processor is coupled for communication realtime to multiple unaffiliated stored-value card processing networks normally operated by respective hosts. Each network includes a stored-value card processor coupled to a stored-value card database and multiple respective merchant communication devices. The central processor is programmed for managing the activation and issuance of transactions and activities for the stored-value card through the respective unaffiliated networks. The universal central processor is programmed to issue the stored-value cards directly to the cardholder or card purchaser by download over respective communication gateways. The universal central processor is further programmed for reporting the card activations, issuances, transactions and activities to the cardholders and the merchants thereby providing a universal management system.
