Configuring verification information at point-of-sale devices
Storing, in a database associated with an issuer, an association between a device identifier of a device of a user and a card identifier of a physical payment card of the user; receiving, by the issuer from a point-of-sale (POS) device via a card network, a request to authorize use of the payment card, the request including the card network and card identifier and generated responsive to interaction between the POS device and the payment card; determining, utilizing the card identifier, that an issuer application has been installed on the device; determining, based on the application being installed and the type of the payment card, a cardholder verification method (CVM) for verifying the payment card, wherein the CVM differs from a default CVM for the card network; and based on determining the CVM, sending, to the POS device, a request for input according to the CVM.
NFC enhanced augmented reality information overlays
Various embodiments are directed to overlaying relevant product information in augmented reality via the use of near-field communication (NFC) and a product selection system. A user may authenticate into an application or user profile. Information about the user in the user profile may be used to determine which products are relevant to the user. Information related to the relevant products may then be displayed to the user in augmented reality, which improves at least the overall shopping and in-store experience.
USER INTERFACE FOR LOYALTY ACCOUNTS AND PRIVATE LABEL ACCOUNTS FOR A WEARABLE DEVICE
The present disclosure generally relates to the use of loyalty accounts, private label payment accounts, and general payment accounts using a wearable electronic device with an electronic wallet. In some examples, an electronic device displays a visual indication of a first account associated with the current location when a set of one or more payment criteria are met. When the set of one or more payment criteria are not met, the electronic device displays a visual indication of a default payment account.
Method of retaining transaction context
Methods of transaction authentication are provided. In one such method, at least one first transaction has been conducted, the or each first transaction generating data including first data comprising authentication data and second data identifying the or each first transaction, wherein a given first transaction is between a merchant and a card holder. A cryptographically signed and/or encrypted token corresponding to the given first transaction and comprising a characteristic of the first transaction has been generated using at least said second data. The cryptographically signed and/or encrypted token has been transmitted to the merchant. The method comprises receiving, from the merchant, data corresponding to a second transaction and in the event that the data corresponding to the second transaction includes the cryptographically signed and/or encrypted token, responsively authenticating the cryptographically signed and/or encrypted token, whereby to determine an authenticated association between the second transaction and a given first transaction.
AGGREGATED TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
System and method to process electronic financial transactions using an aggregated transaction account are described. Embodiments may include an application server configured to perform processing functions, and an updating module configured to retrieve and update the financial account data in a verified user account profile in real-time. Embodiments may also include a transaction processing module configured to receive and process authorization requests. This module may be configured to develop a payment solution for an authorization request initiated, where the method of payment is linked to its assigned aggregated transaction account with an available credit balance funded by one or more authorized funding transaction accounts according to governing policies and reference databases. System and method can be used to process card-present and non-card-present transactions, and does not place a limit on the number of acceptable methods of payment used to fund the available credit balance of the aggregated transaction account.
Systems and methods for proxy card and/or wallet redemption card transactions
Systems and methods for associating a proxy card with an electronic wallet are disclosed. A computer implemented method may include receiving an authentication information of a proxy card, and associating the proxy card with an electronic wallet, wherein associating the proxy card with the electronic wallet allows secure access to the electronic wallet when the proxy card is presented at a point of sale. A system may include a proxy card comprising authentication information, and an electronic wallet associated with the proxy card, wherein the association of the electronic wallet with the proxy card allows secure access to the electronic wallet when the proxy card is presented at a point of sale. A wallet redemption card may comprise a rewriteable magnetic stripe, a smart chip, a wireless communicator operably connected to the smart chip, and an interface operably connected between the rewriteable magnetic stripe and the smart chip.
System and method for web-based payments
A computer implemented method for enabling a payment transaction in a computer system executed at least partially by a computer of a user connected via a communication network to a remote computer comprising a database of payment-related data, said method comprising the steps of: a) accessing the payment-related data of a user from within the database, wherein a web browser extension on the user's computer is invoked by the user clicking on a web browser extension graphical user interface (GUI) widget displayed on the user's computer, wherein secure network access is established to access the user's payment-related data from within the database; b) presenting the user's payment-related data via a pop-up window displayed on the user's computer, without requiring application programming interface integration with a website or a web application of a payee, and without requiring a form re-direct away from the website or the web application of the payee; c) enabling the payment transaction, wherein the web browser extension invokes an auto-complete function to automatically populate fields of a checkout form presented from the website or the web application of the payee with the user's payment-related data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USE IN STAND-IN NETWORK SERVICES
Systems and methods are provided for enabling stand-in network services based on truncated data. One exemplary method includes receiving an authorization request, the authorization request including an account number for an account, an expiration date associated with the account number, and a verification code specific to the account; scrambling the account number; retrieving, based on the scrambled account number, truncated data for the account from a memory; truncating the expiration date and verification code from the authorization request; comparing the truncated expiration date and the truncated verification code to the retrieved truncated data; and, in response to a match between the truncated expiration date, the truncated verification code, and the retrieved truncated data, compiling and transmitting an authorization response.
GENERATING A RANDOM VERIFICATION CODE FOR A TRANSACTION
A device receives, from a user device, a request to generate a verification code for a transaction associated with a user of the user device, and receives user profile information associated with a transaction card to be used for the transaction. The device generates a random verification code for the transaction based on the request and the user profile information, and authenticates the random verification code, based on the user profile information, to generate an authenticated random verification code. The device provides the authenticated random verification code to the user device, and receives transaction information, including the authenticated random verification code, from a merchant device associated with the transaction. The device validates the transaction based on the transaction information, and provides, to the merchant device associated with the transaction, information indicating that the transaction is validated.
Integration of verification tokens with mobile communication devices
A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a computer from a portable device via near field communications, a primary account number. The method includes transmitting, by the computer, to a validation entity computer over a communications network comprising the Internet or a cellular phone network, a request for dynamic account information associated with the primary account number. The validation entity computer obtains and sends the dynamic account information to the computer. The method also includes receiving, by the computer from the validation entity computer over the communications network comprising the Internet or the cellular phone network, the dynamic account information and populating a form on the computer with the dynamic account information.
