The present invention is configured to receive, via an image capturing device associated with a point-of-sale system of a merchant, a digital image of a payment instrument; extract, using optical character recognition, payment instrument data from the payment instrument; receive one or more authentication credentials from the user to endorse the payment instrument; determine an authentication level of the user based on at least receiving the one or more authentication credentials from the user; determine whether the authentication level of the user meets an authentication requirement level associated with the processing of the payment instrument; and process, in real-time, the payment instrument.

A method includes: a supervisor writes a digital certificate and a corresponding first public key into an intelligent contract of a blockchain corresponding to an asset type to be supervised, so that all institutions with asset accounts under the asset type can obtain the first public key of the supervisor through the digital certificate, so as to generate an additive homomorphic key for homomorphic encryption of the balance of an asset account; when checking the balance of a new account of a transactor, the supervisor obtains a public key in a public-private key pair corresponding to the new account, generates an additive homomorphic key based on a supervision private key corresponding to the supervisor and a predetermined key exchange protocol and the public key in the public-private key pair according to the key exchange protocol, and decrypts the encrypted balance of the new account, using the generated additive homomorphic key.

Ad Hoc Neural Network for Proof of Wallet
A proof of wallet approach is used for transaction validation for a digital currency. When a transaction is requested, a set of witness nodes are selected to form an ad hoc neural network. The witness nodes may be client devices of other users of the digital currency. Each witness node receives input information about the transaction (e.g., an encrypted amount and nonce) and neural network parameters (e.g., input weights and a bias). The input information passes through the ad hoc neural network, which generates an output validation value. The transaction is approved if the output validation value is consistent with a verification value generated from the transaction parameters, neural network parameters, and digital currency information stored on a blockchain. If the transaction is approved, the transaction is added to the blockchain in conjunction with the identity of the witness nodes and any other pertinent information
