COMPUTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTING SECONDARY AUTHORIZATIONS FOR PREPAID TRANSACTIONS
20200327523 · 2020-10-15 ·

A computing system can receive a primary authorization request corresponding to use of a prepaid payment means of a user of the transaction service for a transaction with a merchant. Based on receiving the primary authorization request, that system can determine that an account balance corresponding to the prepaid payment means comprises inadequate funds to fulfill the transaction. In response, the system can automatically transmit a secondary authorization request to a financial entity associated with an account of the user, and subsequently receive an approval of the secondary authorization request, which enables the system to utilize the account of the user to make up for the inadequate funds of the account balance of the prepaid payment means. Based on receiving the approval, the system can transmit an authorization to the point-of-sale terminal of the merchant to authorize the primary authorization request for the transaction.

A request for payment message is received. The message includes transaction data. A transaction identifier is generated. The transaction data is stored in association with the transaction identifier. The transaction identifier is transmitted to an acquirer bank. A request to retrieve data is received from a payer's bank. The request to retrieve data includes the transaction identifier. At least some of the transaction data is transmitted to the payer's bank. A confirmation is received from the payer's bank. The confirmation indicates that a real-time payment has been made in accordance with the request for payment message.

OPTIMIZED DUNNING USING MACHINE-LEARNED MODEL
20200327552 · 2020-10-15 ·

In an example embodiment, information about one or more failed payment attempts via an electronic payment processing system is obtained. One or more features are extracted from the information. Then, for each of a plurality of potential candidate retry time points, the one or more features and the potential candidate retry time point are fed into a dunning model, the dunning model trained via a machine-learning algorithm to produce a dunning score indicative of a likelihood that a retry attempt at an input retry time point will result in a successful payment processing. The dunning scores for the plurality of potential candidate retry time points are used to select a desired retry time point. Then the electronic payment processing system is caused to attempt to reprocess a payment associated with one of the failed payment attempts at a time matching the desired retry time point.

Zero-step authentication using wireless-enabled mobile devices
10803442 · 2020-10-13 · ·

A zero-step authentication system and method which uses wireless mobile devices to automatically make payments in a secure manner without requiring the customer to handle his or her mobile device. The system and method uses a payment facilitation device at the business location which automatically detects and recognizes registered mobile devices, displays a photo of the customer to a business employee for identity confirmation, and automatically deducts payments for purchases from a pre-authorized customer account. The customer account is managed by a payment processing server, which stores the customer account data, makes appropriate deductions, sends confirmation of deductions to the customer's mobile device, and automatically refills the customer's account by making pre-authorized charges to the customer's banking institution.

GAS FEE OVERDRAWING METHOD BASED ON COMPOUND INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) AND IOT SYSTEM
20200311831 · 2020-10-01 ·

The present invention relates to the field of Internet of Things (IoT), and provides a gas fee overdrawing method based on a compound IoT and an IoT system. By providing a card reader or a fingerprint recognition device on a gas meter, when a balance of the gas meter is insufficient and a user is inconvenient to recharge the balance of the gas meter, the user sends an overdrawing request to a management platform via the gas meter by swiping a card or fingerprint, and the user may also send the overdrawing request to the management platform via a user sub-platform, and then the management platform sends a corresponding overdrawn balance to the gas meter according to the credit of the user; and thus, the gas can be used by the user.

Systems and methods for facilitating remote authorization and payment of goods via mobile commerce

An on-site consumer at a merchant location can obtain payment authorization and a payment method via a mobile device and mobile application from third-party payor that is not at the merchant location. The on-site consumer can select products for purchase and receive the price from the merchant POS device. The on-site consumer can initial the mobile application and select a third-party payor. A notification can be sent to the mobile or other device of the third-party payor. The third-party payor can elect to pay or decline the request and can select a payment method via the mobile application on their device. The decision of the third-party payor and any payment method can be transmitted to the mobile device of the on-site consumer and/or the merchant POS device. After the completion of the purchase, the mobile application can transmit an electronic receipt to the mobile device of the third-party payor.

SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR EXPEDITING MATH-BASED CURRENCY TRANSACTIONS

Systems and methods for expediting math-based currency (MBC) transactions. One method includes receiving a request for a pending MBC transaction, the request include an MBC address of a first party, an MBC address of a second party, and an amount of MBC to be transferred and determining a balance of MBC associated with the MBC address of the first party based on accessing a listing of address balances.
