FALSE FRAUDULENT CORRECTION METHODS AND APPARATUSES
A computer-implemented method and apparatus are provided to reduce false fraudulent declines of transactions. Payment processor (PP) systems may be provided with a request acceptor and a replacement transaction generator. The request acceptor receives a notification of a decline of a first transaction attempted by a cardholder with a merchant, for allegedly fraudulent, and a request to determine whether the first transaction was falsely identified as fraudulent, and if so, to remedy the first transaction. The replacement transaction generator generates, in response to a determination that the first transaction was falsely identified as fraudulent, and the merchant is a false fraudulent reduction partner merchant, a replacement second transaction to replace the declined first transaction. The replacement second transaction may include a bypass authorization code, and made available to the cardholder to use to transact with the merchant bypassing the declined first transaction.
Detection of Warranty Expiration and Forwarding Notification
Aspects described herein may include detecting, by a browser extension, a checkout page for the purchase of an item using a credit card. Product transaction data and a warranty expiration date of the purchased item may be retrieved, and the warranty expiration date of the purchased item may be stored. Creation of a notification to be sent to the user prior to the warranty expiration may be scheduled. The notification, which includes the warranty expiration date of the purchased item, may then be forwarded to the user through the browser extension.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING NOTIFICATIONS BASED ON DIGITAL WALLET PASS DATA
A server computer system comprises a communications module; a processor coupled with the communications module; and a memory coupled to the processor and storing processor-executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to receive, via the communications module and from a computing device, a signal including digital wallet pass data; store the digital wallet pass data in association with an account; monitor location data and data associated with a value card account to identify a notification event; responsive to identifying the notification event, generate a notification based on the digital wallet pass data; and send, via the communication module and to the computing device, a signal causing the computing device to display the notification.
Method and System of Capturing Contactless Communication Interactions for Debugging and Evaluating Contactless Card Transaction
A method and system for capturing contactless communication interactions for debugging and evaluating a contactless card. The method includes receiving Near Field Communication (NFC) signaling from a contactless card. Upon receiving the NFC signal, a contactless transaction is initiated between a card emulation device and a payment device. The method includes obtaining Application Protocol Data Unit (APDU) commands from the payment device in response to initiation of the contactless transaction. Further, the APDU commands are provided to the contactless card, and in response, an APDU response is received from the contactless card. Thereafter, the method includes transmitting the APDU response of the contactless card to the payment device. The APDU command and APDU response are stored in each of the reader device and the card emulation device for debugging and evaluating the contactless card transaction.
SYSTEM FOR DYNAMIC PREDICTION OF INTERCHANGE RATES FOR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION PROCESSING
A computer-implemented method for predicting interchange charges includes: retrieving a historical transactions set, where each completed transaction in the set includes transaction features, a bank identification number (BIN), and a corresponding true interchange code; transforming all BINs in the set into a corresponding plurality of BIN features that comprise probabilities; creating a first training set including all transaction features, all pluralities of BIN features, and all true interchange codes associated with the historical transactions set; training a random forest model using the first training set and generating a second training set including rounded BIN features, rounded transaction features, discrete ones of the transaction features, and the true interchange codes; training the random forest model using the second training set to generate a trained random forest model for prediction of the interchange codes; and executing the trained random forest model for new transactions to generate corresponding predicted interchange codes.
In-vehicle payment system and method for generating authorization information using the same
An in-vehicle payment system and a method for generating authorization information using the same are provided. The in-vehicle payment system includes an authentication number input device including an interface of a vehicle configured to receive an input from a user, and generate and output input signals corresponding to a manipulation pattern of the interface, a code display device configured to display a code table in an array form including a plurality of code values based on received code information on a screen, and an authorization information generator configured to generate the code information and transmit the code information to the code display device, and recognize an authentication number input by the user using the code information and preset matching information to generate authorization information corresponding to the authentication number when the input signals are received from an authentication number input device.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER-ACCESSIBLE MEDIUM FOR BLOCKING MALICIOUS EMV TRANSACTIONS
An exemplary system, method, and computer-accessible medium can include, for example, storing on a first device an applet configured to generate a digital tag; receiving a request at the first device for information; configuring the digital tag to be associated with at least one of (i) an application or (ii) an input on a second device, such that receipt of the digital tag by a second device causes the application to launch on the second device; and emitting from the first device a digital tag.
PURCHASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A purchase management system includes a central database arrangement, a customer interface to the central database arrangement, and a bank specific database module, arranged to communicate with a transaction authorization module within a bank. The central database arrangement is arranged to receive, from a purchasing entity through the customer interface, purchasing rules applying to a purchasing group, and includes central processing means arranged to: add a selected purchasing group as metadata linked to a first transaction ID in the central database arrangement; add the purchasing rules applying to said purchasing group as metadata linked to the first transaction ID in the central database arrangement; and transfer metadata linked to the first transaction ID to the bank specific database module. The bank specific database module is arranged to receive a purchase approval request from the transaction authorization module, which purchase approval request comprises transaction information, including at least the purchase amount, linked to the first transaction ID.
DIGITAL PASSPORT WITH VERIFIED DATA PROVENANCE
Systems and methods for accurately and securely assembling, storing, and leveraging travel data are provided. A method may include detecting a travel event of a user. The method may include recording the travel event in a travel map that is stored in a database. The travel map may be a temporal- and spatial-based record of one or more travel events of the user. The travel map may be stored as a blockchain ledger. The method may include tokenizing sensitive information associated with the user in the database, and calculating a hazard vector. The method may include updating, based at least in part on the hazard vector, a status index associated with the user, and providing the user and a system administrator access to the travel map and the status index. Access may be provided via an online portal configured to be viewed via an application running on a mobile device.
