11972406 · 2024-04-30 · ·

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for using a third party dynamic QR code on a personal mobile device to complete a transaction at an ATM. The customer may stage a transaction using a mobile application on a mobile device. Upon the staged transaction being authenticated and approved, a machine-readable image may be transmitted to the mobile device. When the customer visits the ATM, the machine-readable image on the mobile device may be captured by the ATM and sent to an application server from the ATM. The application server may associate the ATM with the staged transaction that is staged using the mobile application, and send instructions to the ATM to dispense cash according to the staged transaction.

Disclosed is a system for enrolling a user for facilitation of transactions using biometric authentication. The enrolling system includes an application program that is configured to: receive a user attribute; create an anonymous client reference (ACR) associated with the user attribute; and receive a biometric template. The biometric template has been determined from an input of a biometric. The enrolling system is further configured to create an association between the biometric template and the ACR.

Determining whether a user has possession of a transaction card and/or whether the user is authorized to possess the transaction card

A device receives a transaction request concerning a transaction and a transaction card from a transaction terminal, and determines, based on the transaction request, information concerning the transaction card. The device sends, based on the transaction request and to a user device, a query concerning possession of the transaction card by a user of the user device, where the query includes an instruction for the user to confirm possession of the transaction card via a component of the user device. The device receives, from the user device and after sending the query to the user device, a response concerning possession of the transaction card by the user, and determines, based on the response and the information concerning the transaction card, whether the user has possession of the transaction card. The device performs, based on determining whether the user has possession of the transaction card, at least one action.

SMART CARD, METHOD FOR OUTPUTTING VALIDATION DATA, AND METHOD FOR RESPONDING TO OPERATION REQUEST
20190303936 · 2019-10-03 ·

A smart card, a method for outputting validation data, and a method for responding to an operation request are provided. The method for outputting validation data includes acquiring an operation request by a smart card; acquiring smart card operation information of the smart card by the smart card, after acquiring the operation request, wherein the smart card operation information comprises at least a smart card mode factor for indicating a working mode of the smart card, and the working mode of the smart card comprises a non-contact communication mode and/or a contact communication mode; acquiring a validation data generating strategy, and using the validation data generating strategy to process at least the smart card operation information to obtain validation data by the smart card; outputting the validation data by the smart card after obtaining the validation data.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR UPDATING CURRENCY PLAN PROFILE FOR PAYMENT CARDS

Embodiments provide methods, and server systems for updating an existing currency plan profile to a currency plan profile for a payment card. The method includes facilitating, by an issuer server of a payment network, payment transaction between an issuer account associated with a payment card of a customer and an acquirer account associated with a travel booking entity. The payment transaction is associated with a foreign travel booking request. The method further includes generating a currency plan profile for the payment card in response to one or more travel details of the foreign travel booking request. The method includes providing the currency plan profile to the customer for approval of the customer. Upon receipt of the approval from the customer, an existing currency plan profile of the payment card is updated to the currency plan profile for facilitating a future payment transaction from the issuer account in a foreign destination.

User Registration Based on Unsupervised Learning Classification
20240144216 · 2024-05-02 ·

Aspects described herein may relate to methods, systems, and apparatuses for applying machine learning techniques as part of registering, for a user, a payment card with at least one account of a merchant. The machine learning technique may be an unsupervised learning classifier that is configured to determine classifications of merchant groups and/or user groups. Based on a classification, the user may be able to select which merchants to register the payment card. Based on the selection, the payment card may be registered with the user's account at the selected merchants. Further, the registration may be performed based on virtual payment card information configured for use with the merchant. The virtual payment card information may be configured to initiate transactions only with the merchant.

AUTOMATED PURCHASE CARD DISABLE SYSTEM AND METHOD

Systems and methods for automatically enabling and disabling a purchase card based on predetermined preferences set by a cardholder are provided. The systems and methods enable users to set preferences in advance, and then automatically determine whether to accept or decline a transaction based on the preset preferences. The systems and methods may also implement a learning algorithm to develop preferences based on historical cardholder behavior.

Estimating interchange fees for card payments

A payment processing system is configured to support purchase transactions generated by merchant point-of-sale (POS) devices. Information regarding the purchase transactions is archived and periodically analyzed using machine learning to create a predictive model relating transaction attributes to bank interchange fees. The predictive model is then used to estimate interchange fees that are later passed on to merchants. This allows more accurate settlement with merchants in situations where reports regarding actual interchange fees are not yet available.
